You head up the stairs and find yourself at a balcony overlooking the lobby. Now that you're here, you see that this floor is messed up, with furniture scattered and blood staining the ground, oozing from a few unfortunate souls lying around. You check on them, but they've already departed, and you shake your head, closing their eyes. You search the floor for more clues but find nothing of use here. You sigh and shake your head again. Guess this place is a dead end, you think to yourself, then you decide to…
You rifle through the reception counter and find that there's a phone left face-down on the ground, near the seat. You frown slightly and pick it up, turning it around to look at it. Apparently, the video recorder is still going, and you stop it before checking the video that it recorded. It begins innocently enough, with the desk receptionist starting off about wanting to make a recording of life as a desk receptionist. The time given at the start is 2015, about two hours ago.
You fast-forward the video and resume normal speed at 2155; that's when you hear Morgan's voice, and the receptionist sets the phone aside to speak with her. She asks her where the research facility is located. "On the thirty-fifth floor," she replies, then asks who she wants to see. Morgan simply responds with a punch that knocks her down, and the phone clatters to the ground as you hear the sound of Shadows snarling and growling. You grin a little; guess you have an idea where they've headed.
After that, you decide to…
You head over to the elevator. You already know which floor you have to go to, and that's where Morgan should be along with the rest of the enemy. You take a deep breath before you radio your team, letting them know which floor they should head up to via a text message over your shared channel. You take a deep breath and push the button next to the elevator. It doesn't take long for the door to open, allowing you to step inside. It's a tight squeeze, but you manage to force your way in with much difficulty. You push the button and wait as the elevator ascends to the thirty-fifth floor.
The elevator music does little to calm your nerves.
