(Specialism: Survivalist) Something isn't right.

You look into the bowl and immediately see that something is wrong. The gruel has a slight purplish tint, unlike on previous evenings, and there is a bitter smell hanging over it. You think for a few moments, and thanks to your extensive survivalist training, you realize what is wrong.

Bikh. It is an Indian poison made from the distilled extract of Aconitum napellus, or Himalayan monkshood—one of the most toxic plants known to humanity. Sangpo has just tried to poison you.

Zhu reaches down for his spoon.

You say nothing. Perhaps a little poisoning might calm the bastard down.

Zhu raises his spoon to his lips. He notices you are not eating and raises his eyebrows, but he makes no comment. He simply spoons the gruel into his mouth and takes a slow, experimental chew. His brow immediately creases into a frown.

And he spits it out. Then he takes two more spits to clear his mouth completely. "Aconite!" he snarls. "That bastard!"

He glowers at you for a second more, then disappears through the tent flap, following Sangpo. You drop your own bowl and go after him.
