He smiles reassuringly. "I will lead you to a place where the cultists will never find you. You will be safe there throughout the night."

You nod. You have little choice. You can't get far enough away to be safe from them now.

You follow Talandor down into a winding set of man-built tunnels beneath the city. You pass hundreds of stone sarcophagi, stone markers and hollowed out places in the walls. It seems like hours before you reach a series of rooms.

You are surprised because there are lit wall sconces here, and when he leads you through a heavy oak door, there is a bed, a wardrobe, and a wash basin, all of fine quality.

He motions toward the door. "There is a bar on the door, so you can lower it, and no one can get through."

You nod slowly. "Why are you helping me?"

He shrugs. "I am Lunarian. I know what it is to be hunted."

What do you say to him?

Are you stronger in the moonlight, because you don't appear to have a problem with the daylight?"

He nods his head. "We don't become completely vulnerable as you do. Legend says that Solaron cast a spell during the War of the Gods that carried a great price. His children became cursed to live only in daylight and to forget who they were."

"Lunarians can travel at night virtually invisible. The darkness envelops us. I suppose it is like your sunlight illusions in a way. " He smiles. "At night, we are quick and agile."

"I have been lucky." He shrugs. "I imagine you have too." You look around at your surroundings. "You do pretty well for yourself. What is it you do?"

He smiles, a beautiful but mischievous smile. "I acquire the things that those in trouble need."

What is your response to that?
