It wasn't quite a dozen cultists.

"You are way too humble, my friend," Kanow tells you.

Kanow shrugs. "It hardly matters. It is daylight and the cultists won't attempt to find you during the day."

You sit and look happily up at Talandor as he puts a breakfast plate before you.

"But they have taken townsfolk for their sacrifices." Talandor tells you. "We need to save them."

You take a bite of the food and nod. "And we need to do so before nightfall. I will be of little help to you then."

Kanow digs into the meal as if he hasn't eaten in a week. Between bites, he speaks. "They will be expecting us, you know. They will make magical preparations." He grins, his teeth full of eggs. "But legend says that Solarians are invulnerable to most magic during the daylight as well."

You shrug. You don't know what you are capable of, but yesterday's short sword fight was easy. You know, at least, you are an excellent warrior, and it bothers you tremendously that these cultists are gathering innocent people for sacrifice.
