You fall to your knees in the wagon and reach over with both arms, slicing the sword down and hitting the cultist's arm as he tries to get the reigns. He screams and pulls back upright in the saddle as his hand goes bouncing somewhere under the wagon wheel.

Now that you are prone in the wagon, the other rider is unable to reach you, so he swings his legs to one side of his saddle as he rides, and leaps for the wagon.

The chains are incredible heavy, but you move quickly, rolling several times in the wagon, and bringing the sword up, just as the rider comes flying into the wagon. As he falls forward, his own body weight impales him on the sword.

Four more cultists ride up to the wagon. As you stand to fend off one with your blade, another jumps on the team pulling the wagon and brings it to a halt. Suddenly, the cultists are swarming upon you, and in your weakened and chained state, you can't keep them off of you. Sword hilts slam into your body like hammers and you fall to the bottom of the wagon, bruised and battered. Eventually, one of them hits your head hard, and you black out.

You wake up in the wagon. Your escape attempt has failed. You can only hope now that the cultists make a mistake as you are traveling and you are able to take advantage of it. But the cultists don't make any mistakes regarding your imprisonment. After you fall unconscious that night, you wake up in the morning inside a cave, deprived of sunlight, and surrounded by the priest's magical wall. The lack of sunlight weakens you, and although they feed you, it isn't enough to keep you strong.

At night, when the sun goes down, you see Talandor at times. He waves at you from nearby rocks, tracking the progress of the wagons.

Three such days go by until the third night, when, at last, you reach the Solarian temple.

They drag you from the back of the wagon and up to the stone structure, which is a huge pyramid now covered in vegetation, almost swallowed by the forest around it.

You stand in front of a stone stairway carved into one side. The steps are tall, but only to humans. They are perfectly constructed for Solarians. Runes are etched across the stones. Some have been obscured by the passage of time and others are clear. They warn all of those who would blasphemy the temple, and they welcome all Children of the Sun. You step onto the first stair and your weakness and wounds melt away, replaced suddenly by the incredible strength you feel when the sun is at its height. You look up at the sea of stars above you and try not to smile.

The more you continue up the stairs, the stronger you feel. The cultists and the priests are following you closely. In their excitement, they have forgotten their children hostages. They have also gotten used to your weakness at night, and clearly think they can control you.

As you reach the top, you see a rune still clearly etched upon the stone. It says, "Enter." You press your hand to the stone, and the top of the pyramid releases a grinding noise of stone upon stone as it slides open to reveal a set of descending stairs.

Without waiting for the cultists, you step into the darkness. With your first step, the stairwell lights up in magical brilliance. Whispers greet you in your own language, welcoming you. Voices say such things as 'Destroy them', 'Welcome home, Sire,' and 'Aras, you are here at last.' You are not sure why they address you this way, almost reverently. You look to those following you, and no one else seems to be hearing voices.

You continue down, feeling power build in your owm body, far beyond what you normally feel, even in full daylight. Here,

Solaron's presence fills you. The death cultists have made a grave mistake in bringing you here, because you are absolutely certain that you cannot die while standing in this temple.
