War of Retaliation III – Plains of Verus

The Verus Plains were being approached by troops from both sides. Voran analyzed the scouts' report to get a better understanding of the situation he was going to face.

Marshal Selek Valaunter leads the Arannor Kingdom's army. He grew agitated when he heard this, but hid it behind a cool expression.

"Valaunter, eh? He's a thorn in my side. Because of this man's strategies, they were able to defeat the kingdom in the previous war. Apart from our own side not giving it their all, Selek Valaunter's participation couldn't be overlooked, especially because they weren't messing about at the time. Only Veus and Larsson could currently match his strength. But, sad to say, they have a secret weapon that was never used in the previous war!"

Despite his age, Voran couldn't ignore Valaunter. Strength and experience will always go hand in hand, and experience can occasionally be greater.

Voran was like a blank piece of paper right now, without strength and experience. For the time being, the scouts' reports provided him with sufficient knowledge, and he could relax.

True, the enemy possessed equal or greater might than him, but when war broke out, they had to be vigilant and cautious.

Meanwhile, he didn't feel like it because half of the people he brought with him, including his soldiers, were not under his command. As a result, he did not think twice about sending them to the gates of death.

Once they arrived on the Plain of Venus, the journey took a long time. They noticed a large and empty stretch of plain, as well as many small hills.

Voran hurriedly ordered his troops to erect camps and dispatched a small contingent of the aristocratic army to scout the plains.

Despite the fact that war was unavoidable, Voran believed that those who launched the initial strike would benefit the most.

"Veus, give the nobles' troops orders to prepare. We'll use them as vanguard warriors on the battlefield. They had to strike when the opponent wasn't prepared, which was exactly when they arrived. We have to mess with them and take advantage of them before they build a camp!"

Veus nodded from atop the horse. He was well aware of Voran's strategy. After a hard and exhausting trek, attacking the enemy.

The opponent would be in horrible shape and fatigued, hoping for some respite, but instead they would be met with a lethal attack.

Veus couldn't help but smile as he thought of the hope that turned into disaster. Furthermore, they would use troops that they genuinely wished to annihilate.

"It's all right, Your Majesty. I'll get it done as quickly as feasible. You can rest assured that I will not rush through this assignment. Before I do so, I trust Your Majesty realizes that we are up against a formidable foe. Choose Valaunter; he is the only pillar of the Arannor Kingdom that many people are aware of, and he is also capable of orchestrating a terrifying strategy."

Veus instantly left Voran and dispatched the men they would send to the fight after conveying what was on his mind.

Voran, on the other hand, spent his time in his camp studying the situation. He observed the soldiers erecting tents and maintaining guard.

Aside from that, he went to Larsson to inquire about certain issues with his strength.

A simple and unobtrusive tent is used. Larsson sat cross-legged and closed his eyes, absorbing the energy of the natural world around him.

He was unconcerned about the events around him, especially the battle they were waging. Larsson had always prioritized his personal development.

Furthermore, after breaking through the 3-0 stage, he became even more determined to improve his cultivation and get to the next stage.

Voran could sense it when he entered his tent and quickly opened his eyes. His stare was so intense that anyone who stared at him directly could quiver.

When his attention rested on Voran, who had just entered, he didn't notice any changes in Voran that he liked. "What are you doing here, Your Majesty?"

"I have a few questions for you. I've been feeling restless recently, and my curiosity is growing. Because we're on a battlefield, I felt compelled to learn more and satisfy my curiosity. That way, I'll be able to concentrate more and my attention won't be divided. Larsson, may I ask you a few questions?"

Larsson motioned for Voran to take a seat next to him. He was willing to answer whatever question Voran had, and he also felt he had something to say to him.

He didn't want her to misunderstand his future actions in the same way that the late king had.

He needed to warn Voran before there was a misunderstanding that would destroy their relationship.

Voran did so right away, and once he was next to Larsson, he covered his mouth and remained silent.

He sensed an energy circulating about Larsson's body, slightly pressing him. While next to him, he felt all of his body's senses move, and that invisible pressure was simply too powerful.

"Just say Your Majesty everything you wants to know. Without hesitation, I shall respond. Consider me to be your elder, Your Majesty. You don't have to be afraid or hesitant to inquire; if I know it, I'll tell you and satisfy your curiosity. However, I believe it must be related to cultivation, correct? It's apparent from the look in your eyes."

Larsson spoke calmly and looked Voran in the eyes as he said this.

"Alright… Larsson, you already know what I'm about to ask you. I'd like to learn more about cultivation and how to improve it. I heard you're the only one in the kingdom who's already at 3-0. I'd like to improve my cultivation and retrain myself. Seeing the kingdom's defeat at the time made me uneasy, and it still makes me uneasy."

"Cultivation is separated into two types of energy sources: internal and external, with storage centers in the navel and head. Internal energy refers to the energy that each individual possesses. Internal energy is a type of life that has been tightly linked to the human soul since they were born, and it may be processed and held by everyone. External energy, on the other hand, is natural energy. Nature, like every other object, has a life of its own. They have an endless supply of energy."

Larrson took a deep breath before continuing. "You must have eaten the Strengthening Pill, right? Pills are one of the instruments that cultivators use to help them receive and utilize the energy that is spread across nature. That, Your Majesty, is the essence of our authority. You will know it more fully if you cultivate the energy in your body and attract and absorb external energy."

Voran nodded, his interest in power piqued by what he had just heard. Furthermore, he just had an event that jolted his body and made him feel as if he had been brought back to life. He realized
