I Got A Story To Tell Volume 3, Part Eight: The Who?

A funny boy, L.

He is younger than me.

And he is hitting his puberty head-on.

Yet, he's not fazed by Farah who has one hell of a body and even me.

A real virgin.

That must sucks.

"You're thinking about something stupid again, Izabel."

He asks.

But he gotta understand me.

He was voted to be the leader.

Yet, I realize we know little of each other but nothing of him.

"I just felt like trash-talking my leader as I always had men dictating me."

I speak of the truth.

But he chuckles.

"You funny, Izabel. If you have a problem with me, you better say it now."

Is he threatening me?

"I ain't got a problem, L. I don't hate you. I just want to know why I should trust you."

Right.

Why should I?

He is younger than me but...

"Captain Marvel's Daughter; Izabel. Sixteen and an arrogant little woman. Trust issues as she was tricked by men. Currently running away from authorities because she ended the life of a Normal. Thinks on a regular basis how her mothe---"

He is younger than me in human standards.

But he is clearly something greater.

Looks like this universe has a lot of monsters to give birth too.

"[Smirks]The universe...birth to me? Pretty ironic that I've stooped so low. Anyways, are you able to trust me now?"

No.

It is impressive he knows secret of my life but again....

"Can I ask you one thing?"

A salty question.

A sweet one?

Why should I trust him?

No.

I trust him from the start.

I'm just afraid he doesn't consider me as a friend.

I'm scared they see a useless girl in this body.

"You obviously knew my past. And I suppose you told the others..--"

I expected the contrary.

And he surprised me.

"Sorry to cut you. But you have no need to be afraid. I will never talk on your behalf unless you allow me. The same for others.."

He is indeed younger.

Younger than me.

And the way he talks to me, I feel protected.

"Okay.. Then. Uhmm... Who are you?"
