I had to agree with the weed, doesn’t he have work to do? Is he trying to show off that even if he’s busy, he isn’t busy? Tch, show off. I know, I know. I’m weird, deal with it.

‘’I just decided to stop by and see how things were going. Nothing much.’’

Come to think of it, I didn’t hear the door open. Didn’t we lock it when we came in? No wonder weed was able to enter. I made a rookie mistake. But, Henry needed to go. Don’t want to see Mabel jumping on him again.

‘’Everything is fine, you can go back to your office.’’

‘’Then why is Zak sleeping?’’

‘’The hell-?’’

I saw my best friend in all his drool glory asleep on Jaz’s shoulder. When did he even fall asleep? Still, can’t you get the hint Henry?! I’m even trying to push you outside right now. Stop being a dense idiot.

I guess I have no choice but to use my ultimate weapon. Thank God I am shameless. ‘’Umm….. Henry? Can we talk,’’ I put on a cute expression turning my head to the side looking like a blushing mess. ‘’In private?’’

Henry’s mouth was wide agape and so was everyone, well all except Zak. Yes, acting lessons last summer have proved to be useful after all. Now, Henry will have no chance of refusing me. Cute faces always win.

‘’Y-yeah, we can talk in private. Let’s go to my office.’’

He started walking out the door. No way I’m leaving Mabel here alone with precious Will. You’re staying and she’s leaving.

I pulled on his shirt dragging him back. ‘’Can’t we just stay here and they leave for a while. Besides, I’m sure Mabel is very busy so she can go back to her office.’’

‘’That’s true. What are you even doing here, Mabel?’’

Checkmate, weed. Now scurry along to your office and bawl your eyes out. Mabel was terrified right now. How did I know? There are a lot of sweat beads on her head meaning she was scared of what was going to happen. Nevertheless, she needs to come up with a good excuse or else Henry won’t let this slide.

‘’Uh…uh…I came to check up on them too.....just to make sure they weren’t being mistreated…..hahaha…….I didn’t know Kat was the one taking care of them.’’

Henry nodded his head in approval. Looks like he bought it. Tsk, stupid as always. I wonder whether he never learned social skills as a child. Not that I have any.

‘’So, what did you wanna talk about Kat? They’re all gone.’’

‘’Ah..’’

When did they leave? I didn’t even notice. I guess I was too busy thinking. Anyways, it is time for his scolding.

‘’Why are you so stupid?’’

‘’Huh?! What are you talking about?’’

He had a confused expression on his face. He’s dense too but I guess we’ll have to save that for another day.

‘’Don’t act dumber than you already are. You know for a fact that Mabel was going to pounce on you and yet you obliviously stayed in the room. I even tried chasing you away!’’

Even though I was screaming in his face this dude was smiling. Weirdo alert.

‘’Awww, are you worried about me?’’ He crossed his hands across his chest taunting me.

‘’Not even close.’’

‘’Oh. Then, I’ll get-‘’

‘’Kathryn! Meeting! Now!’’

Zak looked like he had run a marathon with sweat dripping all over his face. You think he’d be more athletic considering all the abs he had.

But, there’s a more important situation at hand right now. How can there be TWO meetings in one day?! Does Walter want to kill us?

‘’You know, guys. I think we should run away. This kind of life isn’t suitable for me.’’

‘’Are you serious, Kat?’’

‘’You know, she does have a point, Henry. This isn’t the kind of life we want to live.’’

‘’But there’s nothing you guys can do about it. So stop this weird drama already.’’

He sighed pinching the bridge of his nose as we fake cried. It was easy to get on some people’s nerves. ‘’Let’s just go for the meeting.’’

We quickly left the room rushing to the Board Room for the second time today. When we got there, they hadn’t started luckily so we quietly sneaked in and snagged some seats.

Kylie noticed us and came over giving us some documents. ‘’Don’t open it before the meeting starts. Ok?’’

Why give us then? She knows we’re going to open them. But…., we’ll prove her wrong! Why? ‘Cause I and Zak can talk telepathically. Jk. We’re just so close we can know what the other is thinking. Most of the time.

I pushed the documents towards Henry so we wouldn’t be tempted to open them and he unwillingly took them mumbling something about him being maltreated. Minutes passed and everyone needed for the meeting was here. Walter, the head of the agency (Have I told you that before?), began the meeting.

‘’As you all know, we have been working on commencing Operation Alpha. This mission is very important as it has to do with Celestia, the Supreme Alpha.’’

Murmuring filled the room before Walter continued talking. ‘’Now, I know this must be shocking for you but it is time we stopped running away from this. We need to look for our leader, Celestia!’’

‘’Our leader is Orion and nothing can change that!’’

I am assuming Mr. Bon does not quite agree with that considering the way he responded. Oh, right. I forgot to tell you that everyone in this room right now is a werewolf too. Even Walter and Henry.

You guessed right. We’re still that many on Earth. It seems like we just can’t leave humans alone. The Vampires and Elves were smarter than us. They left when they got the chance to but we foolishly stayed and look where it’s gotten us. Nowhere.

‘’Orion is just temporarily occupying that position. If we find Celestia or she is reborn soon, he will have to leave that position.’’

Orion is the current Alpha to all the wolves anywhere they are. Most people don’t like him but what can they do? He was chosen by Celestia herself.
