Chapter Five: Fangs.

Why the frick did he have to sneak in on her like that? Even more so in the dark?

“Who the hell are you and why did you have to come at me like that?” Emma asked out loud.

In her mind, she settled that whoever it was, had got to be some Stalker.

But this stunt he'd just pulled off; turning the lights off and talking to scare her out of her skin was a clearly expensive joke.

The frick did he have to go that extent for?

She waited for his reply. Her gasps stealing into the awkward silence of the alley.

She did not have the time nor patience for this!

“Kindly turn on the lights when you're ready to do your explaining, will you? And how long do I have to wait for you to get on with it, huh?”

Reluctantly, she slid her mobile inside her trouser back pockets.

Vlad could see her now as she clearly wrapped her arms into a fold. Her boldness excited him. Yet, he knew she was right. Even though he had no hands in the lights suddenly going out, it was wrong of him to creep in on her like that.

He settled within himself before motioning himself to speak, “Firstly..”

Emma listened, waiting on him to speak some more, “I had no intentions to scare you. I simply came to warn you.”

“Warn me? Such basic excuse!”

“How basic?” Vlad asked, relishing the sweetness of her soft voice. How could she ever scare anyone off with that mesmerising tone of hers?

Emma settled, “You know what it's fine. Just turn the lights back on and we can both pretend this situation never happened.”

She then smirked curtly afterwards but Vlad could see her do this. Not just her, he could now see two shadow figures advancing towards her from a distance.

The scent his nose could pick up, confirmed they were the guys he'd seen before—Wolves!

Quickly, he breezed in front of Emma putting his back to her face. But Emma got miffed out and shouted; “Hey! That was frickin rude.”

“Shush, Princess. We've got company.”

Emma dazzled her eyes in disbelief rather than feeling shocked.

“What type of c—"

FLASH!

Immediately the lights came back on leaving the rest of her words stuck inside her throat.

Emma swallowed from observing Vlad's stoutly back which was just in front of her. His body fragrance was an enchanting aroma that pulled her closer to him instead of away from him.

'Dammit, Emma! Have you lost your senses?' Doing her best to keep her eyes on track, she quickly pulled outward from behind him only to behold the ones— Two men dressed casually but the look in their eyes revealed that their intentions were not good.

“Who the fuck are you and what do you want with her?”

Emma riled up at Vlad's question.

“Want me?! What could these little pups possibly want with me?”

After voicing that out loud, Emma stopped to question her thoughts.

How did she know who they were?

She could smell them too that they were different from him by her side? What in the actual fucks was going on?

The wolf men spared a split second to gaze at one another before Garron decided to speak.

“You know, it's actually good you can tell who we are. But.”

He stopped and motioned one step closer to the girl. "don't blame me for raking your teeth out with my claws if you call us 'Pup' for a second time."

His partner quickly stepped in.

“Look, Emma, we didn't come here for trouble. We just need you to cooperate with us. It's the boss who wants you, not us.”

Vlad could no longer stand their boldness despite staying quiet for so long now.

“Get lost! And I mean the both of you. She's going nowhere with you!”

Seeing him advance towards them caused them to begin to retreat backwards because what Supernatural being didn't know who Vlad was?

"Hey man, we just came for her. Not you. So, can you just back off?" Garron demanded oblivious of how quick tempered the Vampire, Vlad could be.

In a breeze of a minute, the devil was standing toe-to-toe in front of him, vicious gaze and all.

Frightened, Garron's partner ran off, leaving him behind.

Emma startled and Vlad smirked weakly.

“You know, I may look nice,” he started to say to the wolf man who was just a second from peeing on himself.

Vlad didn't mind.

Garron's shoulder stiffened and for a wolf, was he also more of a chicken?

Vlad's beautiful face twitched into an evil grin in an instant as he said, "If no one ever told you, I'm not a nice guy."

At the start, his skin began to grow pale as snow. His eye rims darkening out, a root of black veins began to spread downwards his lids turning the top part of his face into a monstrous looking thing.

Garron's tongue cut loose once he saw the Vampire's fangs ripening out as well in its full length. His blood ran cold.

“No no, man. Please don't.”

As he begged, he reasoned to unleash his wolf form but Vlad was fast. Too fast.

Like in a flash, the Vampire had sunk his sharpened tooth near his clavicle, drawing out every single pint of his blood.

Garron's body continued to shake violently from struggling to get free. Vlad was no ordinary vampire. He was what they called 'The Ripper'.

Emma meanwhile could not understand why her legs decided to grow numb at such awkward timing.

‘Shit! This how I'm gonna die?’

Her heart began to palpitate fast.

He was gonna kill him..

He was gonna kill him..

She watched as the wolf man began to turn pale and her eyeballs nearly gouged out their sockets.

What fricken nightmare was this?

The man jerked slowly now and in an instant his body dropped weakly to the ground. Head dismembered from his body.

Emma shrieked.

“Ahhhh!”

Vlad turned to look at her. His fangs were dripping fresh blood as he motioned himself close to her.

Emma was about to go insane.

“You-you fricken killed the man..”

“And I don't regret it.”

She was shaking and Vlad did not like that. He took one step closer to her.

“Don't. Don't fricken come near me alright? Just stay the hell back. Who the frick are you?” She was breathing very hard.

“Well my name is Vlad."

“I didn't fricken ask for your name alright. I -I.”

“Breathe Emma. Just breathe. I'm not here to harm you.”

He leaped forward a second time.

“Stand back!”

Emma shouted going berserk. Crouching watchfully, she picked her back pack off the tiled floor and in a dash took to her heels.

She ran as fast and wouldn't stop running.

Vlad, on the other hand stood at bay and wiped his chin clean of the bloody remains.

“The idiot's blood even taste like shit.” He cursed and spat out.

In the distance, he watched Emma racing her legs out. He stood, not wanting to chase her.

Emma felt grateful for this knowing the speed strength of a Vampire. At least she'd read about 'em.

As Emma bolted through the hallway to reach the exit, her heart continued to thump harder beneath her chest and just like that she began to feel like she was becoming short of breath.

She pushed still.

‘It's all in your mind.’

But the minute she caught sight of the glass slides leading out the exit, her vision began to seem fuzzy.

With everything around her swirling in circles, she slowly lost her balance and fell.
