Chapter Eight: Memory.

3.00 PM

Emma sat quietly outside.

The afternoon was clear and windy. The bold greeting cold air brought on its biting chill but Emma did not care for that except for how the arrogant wind continued to swish her hair tirelessly about.

Her tresses crashed repeatedly against her face, but Emma decided to stay with it.

Earlier today, she'd received a buzz from Josie who informed and invited her to an outdoor dining event that would happen at her house.

Apparently, her paternal grandparents were coming to visit and along with some uncles and aunties.

Despite the promise of there being enough company, Josie had insisted on Emma attending. Her reason for this was hinged on the absurd sentiment that she didn't want to be alone especially when Lucy would recover her usual flirting exercise on their many cousins & C &C.

Emma easily sympathized with her friend by choosing to honour her invitation.
