Chapter 25

Denver’s POV

Back then, it was Richard. Now, she’s calling Gerry several times.

Is it really her nature to talk to the past? To the people who had been part of her past? I am her present—and her future, if only I let my heart decide.

But this is too much. Envy is filling my soul as if it’s the water and I am the glass, half-full and half-empty at the same time.

Wisdom is taking a bath. She left her phone on our bed. Her phone rang and it just stopped after seconds, turns out Wisdom missed a call from Gerry Grace.

I was about to pick it up, to answer it. But…it seems that a conversation with a man-to-man is less thrilling since I can only punch the air and not the face of Gerry Grace. I have fired him from my company and I just heard the news that he’s now working in one of the company’s competitors.

Truly, he wants to piss me off. He already succeeded at this instant, the moment he made himself present in my beloved’s life—in our life.
