Chapter 29

Wisdom’s POV

Verity’s eyes indeed radiate kindness.

There were only five women in this room including me, along with Verity Giordano, Denver’s mother. The other three are all Verity’s closest friends that could give me great advice and tips on being a married woman.

“You should always make yourself beautiful,” said Carla, the youngest one at Verity’s right. Her huge belly obviously tells me that she has twins inside her. “Not really the beautiful one that you put make-up on and wear designer clothes. The beautiful I’m talking about is when you make yourself clean and at least not a messy looking one.”

Carla’s English is quite broken since she’s a Mexican native. Though I envy her beauty—her glistening smooth brown skin and natural eye lashes that flattered like a butterfly’s wings—she was so kind to me and thoroughly gave me some tips on how to please a man in all aspects: sexually, emotionally, and physically.
