Strange Dream

Disturbed and frightened, I woke up with a start in an abandoned place.

The sight was just a flash, everything around me was incomprehensible and strange, then I heard a familiar voice saying,

-Sweetheart, why did you bring me here?

-What are you talking about, I whispered.

-Hey, wake up, it's about to start, don't stand still.

A man touched my shoulder, waiting for me to get up, so he did the same.

Sorry, I whispered again.

The man began his prayer and the silence slowly faded.

I couldn't think of any explanation for this act, so I just respected his order.

Not wanting to interfere, I stood up.

-The Lord will forgive all your actions and approve all your decisions.

The Lord's ways are inscrutable, aren't they? Do you know what that means? That we have no power over our destiny!

- But the time will come when we will all understand each other and unfortunately, it will be too late, the man said.

Suddenly, the sound of the bell rang and voices whistled violently in my head.

By the time I turned around, the man was gone.

-Mom? I shouted, the bell rang louder... I stood still, listening to the voices that were getting louder as if they were getting closer and closer.

Tied up in handcuffs and facing the wall, multitudes of questions haunted me and went from bad to worse: Where am I, what should I do?

-What should I do? I shouted to my conscience...

Not really daring to leave, I sat down once more to think.

Immediately, a frightening, blinding white light entered the room.

Intrigued by this light, I stood up on my tiptoes to look for the light.

I slowly walked to the window and there was no one outside.

It was like being lost in an abandoned city and imagining another world parallel to this one with a whole crowd of people just a moment before.

I tried to open the window but it was blocked.

- Damn, why is this happening to me, damn, it's so scary here.

Maybe I can find someone outside....

I rushed to open the door slowly and carefully, its creak echoing throughout the house.

There was no one outside...the bells stopped ringing...bruh, it's cold in here...

I was swallowing the old steps as fast as I could and then my left foot got stuck...

I tripped and boom, I ended up all the way down in a thousand pieces.

-Ah, how clumsy of me, she can't walk, damn it ..... What a bitch! exclaims my conscience.

Gathering all my courage to get up slowly, I started walking towards the front door.

Lost in this hellhole, I was heading towards the unknown of this city.

... where am I? Limping, I walked for hours and hours towards the darkness.

The house was abandoned and drowned in the heart of this sinister forest.
