Chapter 8

I got dressed then looked at myself,"you look so cute"Ashley gushed,we've become best friends,she kinda ditched Kace for me,he's fine with it though,"thanks Ash" "he said he'll be here soon,about five minutes" "okay, got any plans?", she smiles "I met this guy,Harry,don't know,maybe I'll go see him", I looked at her "wait,is he in college?" "yeah, says he knows Drake and you" "Ash,he broke Drake's heart", her eyes widened "Josh has been meaning to beat the guy responsible for Drake's heart break, and I'm sleeping with him,no!" "sorry" "Drake's my brother in law now,I can't do that,I'm telling Josh", this is so messed up,Harry is bisexual and he's sleeping with both man and woman, he's just so much of a jerk.

Ashley opened the door while I ate my cupcakes,Kace looked at me with his signature smile,"hey you" I wave "hey,you look so adorable" "thanks", he was wearing a white T-shirt that sucked his muscles,even his abs were visible,some nice jeans and sneakers,"you look great" I smile "thanks,I see you're not quite ready?" "no,I'm ready, just gimme a sec" I wiped my mouth then grin at him,"ready" "Ashley,don't break anything" Kace points at her "don't worry,I won't", my parents weren't home but they knew I was going out tonight, Ashley was gonna stay here, said it would be nice to sleep in my house,whatever that means.

"So,where are we going?" I ask "not sure,anywhere you want" "mmm,can we get pizza?" "sure", I smile looking out the window at the lights and gawking, the streets were brightened with lights,its Christmas so I'll expect nothing else, my phone vibrated and I took it from my bag, I don't know why I brought another pair of clothes,its just a habit.

"Yeah mom,he's right here" I say, "okay,is Ashley still at the house?" "yeah" "good,tell Kace hi for me,have fun" "yeah,bye" "bye", he smiles when I tell him,my parents actually like him,despite the things we do for his mom,I thought he was just a bad boy but he's not,people just love spreading rumors,because he's popular.

Kace kept glancing at me from his side of the table,I put the menu further up so he couldn't see me,but I still sensed him looking at me, "why are you looking at me like that?" I ask laughing "you're just really pretty", I blushed "thanks,I guess" "I'm serious Hayles" "yeah yeah", the girl that was serving us wouldn't take her eyes off Kace,"um.....can you look what you're doing and keep your eyes off my boyfriend?" I ask with a deadly grin,Kace looks at me with a smile,she scoffs rolling her eyes "nice,keep rolling them and just roll back over there" I shoo,she left and Kace shook his head at me "what?" I ask "you didn't have to do that to her,she was cute" "I'm cute,fine,go get her then, I'm breaking up with you though", everyone seemed to hear our conversation and looked at us,"go" I say and he doesn't move,"you're unbelievable " "I know", a boy tapped his shoulder "if you leave this hotness, for that,your life is over man", I had to contain my laugh, "she's like my life,I'd be stupid", everyone sighed in relief,I laughed at last "your so mean" "awe,come here", I moved over so he sat next to me,he's adorable when he's upset, I kissed him,he had no problem kissing me back,the kiss was slow and comforting, made my tummy flip a few times, I don't know what he's doing to me, but I kinda like it, he'll be left heartbroken when I leave,and that's making me feel bad.

"Don't look" Kace says leading me somewhere, I chuckle "I'm not,just tell me already" "no,you've gotta see for yourself", I was nervous but I trust him,"if you're gonna kill me Kace,just tell me", he pulled me to him slowly,then stood behind me "open then now", I opened my eyes "whoa" I breathed looking at the city,we were on a cliff somewhere,the lights looked so beautiful, "its breathtaking" I whisper,he kissed my hair "yup,I know the feeling" he whispers wrapping his arms around me,"my mom used to take me here when I was a kid,but when she got sick,I started coming here alone" "don't you get lonely?" "I used to,then I met you and I pictured you standing next to me,sassing me as always", I laughed lightly,"I never really thought we'd be this close Hayles" "me neither" "I can't lose both of you", I felt a tear on my cheek and I turned to him, he was crying,how am I the first one to see this,"hey,I've got a few more months"I say cupping his face "but that's not enough,who's gonna tell me I'm a jerk and I'm a pervert after we make out, who's gonna argue with me for no reason Hayley, your the only one that has my back even when I don't know how I'll survive without my mom,you can't.......you can't leave me", I hugged him,now I feel real bad,"I wish I didn't have to go Kace,I'm sorry".

The rain showered unto the car,it started trickling on us when we were at the cliff, by the time we reached the car, it started raining, where we live,it doesn't snow in Christmas, it rains, a lot. Kace got a huge blanket and wrapped it around us,we were on the backseat,him laying down and me laying on top of him.

"Mom didn't ask me to take you out" Kace says and I looked at him in confusion, "what?" I ask softly "I wanted to take you out" "so why didn't you just-......you thought I'd say no?" "yeah,you're really mean to me" "hey,I changed" "for now" "now you're being mean", he wanted to take me out,"I told mom that I was gonna take you out,to make up for what I did,and she was more than happy" "I would've maybe said yes" "really?" "nah,you're right", we both laughed,I would've said no,honestly,"see,you're really mean to me" "fine,I'll be a little nicer" "a little?" "for a bad boy,you're kinda soft" "I'm not really a bad boy" "oh?", like I didn't know that, we spent the rest of the time talking and just enjoying each other's company.

"So I guess this is where I let you go" Kace says as we stood on my porch "its still raining" "yeah,I'll get home okay" "okay", he turned to leave "or maybe you could stay a while,I mean,I'm still cold", he smiles walking to me,I opened the door and walked in,yup, I think I'm catching feelings for him.
