Benny and I turned around the hall and stopped, just looking at Ryder and Elizabeth making out,I felt that heavy burden again but this time I cried,I walked back the way I came "Coral,wait!" Benny shouts walking after me,"I know he told you they aren't serious but you have to believe him",I ignored her and wiped my eyes,this is so stupid "hey, what happened?" Alec asked holding my shoulder "I'm fine" "no she's not,she just saw Ryder sticking his tongue down Elizabeth's throat" Benny says "you.....wait she's back?" Alec asks "yup" Benny says "I thought she wasn't coming back" "so did I but she's back and she took Ryder" "he's still into the slut?" "his tongue was in her throat,I think that covers it", they both looked at me "what?" "aren't you mad about it?" "not really,but she's his girlfriend, what am I gonna do about that?" "maybe take him back,with just three words", I gave them a look "right",I grin and they laugh "we've got so many things to talk about" Nikki says dragging me and Benny "bye" we wave at Alec.

I have been avoiding Ryder for two days now, he's tried talking to me but I don't answer him as for Elizabeth, she's all over him like a cat silly for a mouse,I hate her more each minute. I took my book out from my locker,I was about to close it but it closed by itself,or by Ryder, "why are you avoiding me?" "what are you talking about?" "you know what I'm talking about, you've constantly been avoiding me,did I do something wrong?" "not at all,I just go on phases sometimes",he was about to say something but guess who latched on to him?,Elizabeth.

"I have been looking everywhere for you" she says and I roll my eyes "Elizabeth,I'll see you later,I'm trying to talk to Coral" Ryder says motioning to me, she looks at me "oh the mute right?", okay I'm leaving before I get insulted,"don't call her that!" Ryder snapped "why?,she's never spoken and why are you defending her?" "its none of your business", I walked away and Ryder chased after me "wait,at least tell me what I did" "you did nothing, get back to your girlfriend before she thinks you have feelings for the mute!", I walked away to class,I think I like Ryder,not even like,he's been a great friend and all but I caught feelings that I shouldn't have.

"Oh my god!!" Daisy exclaimed happily at Elizabeth about something,Nikki mocked her "those two have been friends since forever" Benny says and I looked at the two, they looked at me and smirked,then walked over to me "so you think you could have my boyfriend?" Elizabeth asked,I ignored her as usual "what?,can't find the words?" Daisy teased tugging my hair "leave her alone Daisy" Benny says sternly "I don't even know why your friends with her,she's a nobody" "at least she's not a slut like you and she's not a nobody!" "Oh Bennett,you can protect her all you want but you'll soon realize that she's worth nothing", I look at Daisy before walking off, it makes no sense to stand there listening to what she's saying,I don't even care anyway, it has no effect on me anymore.

My phone vibrated and took it out to look at it,it was a text from my mom.

Mother- hey sweetheart, we're heading back home, can't wait to see you!!

Me- I thought you'd be back tomorrow, what happened?

Mother- your dad had a heart attack

Me- what?, is he okay

Mother- were not sure,we'll be home in the next hour,at the hospital, can you get Ryder to drop you there?

Me- I'll try,see you then

Mother- I love you Baby

Me- I love you too

I ran a hand through my hair,not again,he had one three months ago,they say the third one might kill him, that's the second one. And how the hell am I gonna get Ryder to drive me there,"hey" Luther says handing me a rose,I looked at him confused before taking it,he just walked straight pass me,"hey you"Jeremy says handing me another rose,and that's how it went, the whole football team,except Alec,Tyler and Ryder,my hands were filled with red roses,"here,let me help you with that"Tyler says tying the roses with a red ribbon and handing me a box of chocolates,I was so confused, it's sweet but confusing,Alec popped up "hello you", I waved the flowers and he smiles tucking an envelope in the roses,"don't worry about it", I nod walking pass him,please no more,I beg of you,no more.

I sat at a table in the library and took out the envelope, should I read it,nah,okay I'll read it.

Coral

I know I haven't been the best person you'd want to hang out with anymore, I really don't know what I did to break our trust but I wasn't lying when I told you that I really liked you and no matter who or what happens,my mind will never change, at least let me know what to do to get you back.

Ryder

I smile to myself before getting up,at least apologize for avoiding him that's a start I guess. Elizabeth was wrapped around Ryder's hand,I huffed walking over to them,I swear that this will never happen again in my whole life,just chill and don't punch her,I stopped as she kissed his cheek "Ryder?" I call and he looks up at me before walking over to me,without his octopus, "what's up?" "thanks for the roses, and sorry for ignoring you and snapping at you last time" "yeah,look I'm sorry about Elizabeth" "its fine,let's just pretend there's no feelings between us so you won't get caught between two girls" "Coral,just listen to me" "you don't have to explain anything to me Ryder,we're still friends but I don't think we'll be more than that", what?, I apologized right?,now I can forget about him and ever having feelings for him.

"Baby?!" the boys call and I jumped, I looked down at them before walking down the bleachers to them "what's up?" I ask "for starters, what the hell dude?" "what did I do?" "seriously,I was hoping you two would work out your issue" "what issue?", they chuckle at me trying to act clueless "he's got a girlfriend yah know" "he doesn't love her like he loves you,isn't that obvious" "considering every time I see them they're either kissing or something,I don't care" "I'd probably ignore him too" Peter says and they look at him "what?,I would" he defends and I chuckle softly, for the first time "at least don't break his heart anymore, for a girl like yourself, your quite the heartbreaker" Alec says and I roll my eyes "don't you have practice?" "don't change the topic", they argued with me,these boys are like guardian angels for Ryder.

Ryder walked over to us "hey guys let's get back to practice" he says to the boys "one sec,Baby, don't do it" Alec says and I fan him off,they walked away leaving Ryder and me alone "at least tell me you don't like being around me" Ryder says "it's not that" "then what it is?" "its nothing,I promise, I gotta go" "where are you going?" "home, before I get a real beaten for talking to you".
