Chapter-9[Duke and Duchess-2]

10th Birthday, one of the biggest days in the lives of nobles. It was at that time that the Noble Household would hold a party, and the child will be introduced to the Noble Society, and they will form connections with other nobles for a better future. This party would become the starting carrier for the noble kids. They would then occasionally visit and call other noble kids for tea parties, this was the same for both boys and girls.

Lilliana panicked hearing Evangeline's request!

Duke and Duchess both looked at each other in surprise and then at Evangeline.

The red-haired maid just smiled at them.

"Is that alright?"

Duke asked worriedly. Duchess also focused on Evangeline.

"Yes, it will be. And it is my promise that Lady Duchess would be at the party too."

Evangeline answered calmly.

A conflicted expression appeared on Lilliana's face hearing that her mother could be at the party too.

'If the mother is going to be there...then...but is there going to be someone who would be visiting on my birthday?' Lilliana thought but then nodded.

She wants her mother to have a good time too!

"I will hold the party!"

Lilliana answered.

A pained expression appeared on Duchess's face. Even though she had never left the room, she know the situation of the outside, and especially how her daughter was treated and thought apologetically, 'I am sorry...my daughter...'

Duchess wanted to hug her daughter tightly right this moment but she knew that it would worsen her condition so she stayed there while looking at Lilliana.

"Then, I will have your mother present during the Dinner today and at your Birthday Party."

Evangeline replied while smiling. For many, it would appear to be bad of Evangeline to do something like this, but she herself wants Lilliana to experience everything she could during her childhood.

Duke looked at Lilliana and shook his head and mentally thought, 'She is way too kind to parents like us...'

Lilliana nodded towards Evangeline, and then looked at her mother and showed a smile, making the latter's heart torn from guilt.

Duchess opened her arms, indicating Lilliana to hug her, which she did.

Duchess patted Lilliana and spoke slowly, "Thank you, Lilli..."

'No mother, you don't have to be thankful...it is because I am cursed that you have to suffer like this..' Lilliana silently thought.

"No Mother, there is no need to say thank you to me..." Lilliana muttered but her voice contained guilt.

But both Duke and Duchess were busy pampering their daughter that they hadn't noticed that but the red-haired maid did and narrowed her eyes and thought, 'It seems like I can't change her thinking on my own...'

After some time, Duchess released Lilliana.

"Young Miss, could you wait in the dining room first, I need to talk with Lord Duke and Lady Duchess."

Evangeline asked. Lilliana nodded and hugged her father, and then she stood on the bed and gave a sweet hug to Evangeline too.

"Thank you, Aunt Evangeline."

Lilliana gratefully spoke, Evangeline patted her head and after that, Lilliana left the room leaving Duke, Duchess, and Evangeline alone.

--------------------

Lilliana walked out of the room with an anxious expression on her face.

'What if something went wrong for the party?!'

'What if no one came!?'

'What if I went ill like before?!'

Countless negative possibilities ran through Lilliana's mind as she climbed down the stairs.

It's not that her thoughts are negative, but something always happened whenever her parents wanted to hold any function for her birthday.

Last year, her condition worsened on her birthday, ruining all the plans that Duke put his mind to.

And the year before that, her mother's condition worsened a little making her cry while sitting beside her mother all the time.

Every program that was supposed to behold was ruined like that.

This became traumatic for her to even hold any type of function for her at all.

She hated herself even more due to that.

'But mother could enjoy herself...I don't know what to do...'

Lilliana soon reached the stairs while ignoring the stares from the servants. She was already mentally upset, and her excitement for her new friend also started to die down a little.

After climbing down the stairs, Lilliana soon reached the dining room, where she found some maids arranging the cuttlerly on the table, and a silver-haired old man standing behind the Lord's seat with his back straight, and besides that old man was a black-haired young boy was wearing butler's uniform, similar to the old man.

Lilliana looked at the boy with a surprised look, even making her forget her anxiousness for now.

The young boy looked dashing if only you ignore his skinny figure, and the butler's clothing including- a white shirt, a black pant, both were a little loose due to the skinny figure, and over the white shirt was a black vest. Overall, the young boy looked way too good than what Lilliana remembered him to be.

But what made her happy and surprised were the black hair, the pitch-black hair that was dustfree now, and the bewitching black eyes.

She felt a connection with the boy, something she never felt with anyone. But that connection was not something like love but,

'Similarity'

She felt the young boy way too similar to her.

A smile appeared on the black-haired boy's as he saw Lilliana standing beside the door, completely frozen from shock.

Seeing the smile on the black-haired boy's face, Lilliana came out of her thoughts and quickly made her way towards the black-haired boy.

"Kyle....is that really you?!"

Lilliana asked in disbelieve enough though she knew that the black-haired boy was Kyle.

It was normal, as previously, Kyle looked nothing like what he did now.

A bitter smile appeared on Kyle's face as he heard Lilliana's question. Even he felt surprised at his transformation when Sebastian took him to a bath and cleaned him with his own hands.

Kyle for the first time felt getting violated. He never even dreamed that his whole body would be touched by a old man, and a dashing old man at that.

"Yes, Young Lady. I am Kyle, Kyle Ainsworth."

Kyle answered with the same bitter smile.

"Wow! I wasn't sure for a second whether you were really Kyle..you changed way too much."

Lilliana commented with a smile. Kyle turned toward Sebastian, or more like glared at Sebastian.

"It was all due to Sir Sebastian's care."

Kyle replied to Lilliana but his eyes were focused on Sebastian.

Lilliana nodded and commented, "Yes! Uncle Sebastian is good!"

Kyle turned toward Lilliana with his eyes fully surprised but his expression remained the same and thought horrifyingly, 'Did Sebastian clean Little Lady...no he wasn't mentioned to be a Lolicon...'

"Uncle Sebastian is good at cleaning things."

Lilliana continued with a small smile.

Kyle's expression finally relaxed hearing that and thought, 'Right, how could Sebastian be like that. He is one of the eternal loner and a forever virgin...'

In the Dungeon Arc of Ardrith that Kyle played, Sebastian played a huge role in helping to clear the dungeon and acquire treasure. His past was mentioned too, but nothing about his love life making players give him that title.

A bitter smile appeared on Sebastian's face for a moment before his expression turned stoic but his eyes showed bitterness as he listened to the works spoken by the kids beside him.
