"How are you going to survive that?!"
James' loudly inquired with a large maniacal smile on his face. He seemed way too serious!
Kyle looked around for help but everyone averted their eyes. It seemed like they wouldn't help him at all. On the contrary, they had excited expressions on their faces.
"Mister! What are you doing?!" Kyle screamed!
"I am teaching a kid like you your place!!" He screamed back and throw the fireball in Kyle's direction.
Kyle quickly stepped away from there but his speed was not enough, cursing his weak body for that.
So he did the best thing he could, He crouched down with his back facing the fireball.
'If my back got hurt, it could still be healed but if my front vitals got hurt, then I would have to spend a lot of money that I don't have to get myself healed.'
He waited for the impact but none come.
Kyle looked back and saw a man with a giant build, having blazing red hair, just like James but he had a giant broadsword stabbed in the ground in front of me, where the fireball hit just now.
Commander Lucas.
That name appeared in his mind the moment he saw his broad back protecting him.
---------------
Before the incident,
A red-haired man leaned on the tree just a little away from where the entrance of the Training Hall was situated. The man saw as members of [Dungeon Squad] walked around the hall.
The man seemed to be waiting for someone as his eyes constantly wandered towards the mansion.
'That kid is late...' The man thought silently.
Soon, the man saw a skinny little boy walking towards the Training Hall. Just as he was about to walk towards the boy, a thought appeared in his mind, 'Right, others don't know about him... let's see what their reaction would be...'
He then again leaned on the tree while observing the black-haired boy walking towards the Training hall.
A look of disappointment appeared on his face when he saw a red-haired boy stopping the boy from entering.
'It seemed like he will be needing more training...and somethings along with that...'
He thought but still remained in his position instead of moving forward to stop the conflict.
But the next moment, a look of deep surprise appeared on his face as he saw the black-haired kid touching the hand of the red-haired boy.
He know what that did and nodded in appreciation.
'The kid used his brain...he knew he could never win directly...' He thought while gazing at the black-haired kid who fell on the floor.
"But he needs more training...he is way too weak as of now..."
The man muttered under his breath.
The man then saw others moving towards the red-haired boy to help him but not a single person went forward to help the kid.
He shook his head with another look of disappointment on his face.
"They are a dark mark on the name of the squad...haa...."
But before he could continue, he saw the red-haired boy making a fireball, he narrowed his eyes.
"Don't do something foolish..."
He spoke with a little hope but more was anger in his voice.
But the moment the red-haired boy shot the fireball toward the kid, he quickly vanished from his place, and along him was his sword that was placed beside the tree.
He quickly appeared in front of the black-haired kid and stabbed his broadsword in the ground, protecting the kid from the fireball.
His expression was morphed into complete anger.
------------
Kyle looked at the red-haired man, Commander Lucas Nicoles in front of him. He knows about that man as Sebastian had introduced him to this man before when he was toured around the mansion by him.
Commander Lucas, the commander of the whole [Dungeon Squad], clears the dungeon regularly while also hunting the monsters around the territory.
And, Commander Lucas was the one who managed the whole squad and supervised the training of the newbies.
'Wait...James Nicoles...Lucas Nicoles....right! He was commander's son who died due to his arrogance in the game!'
Suddenly Kyle's brain lit up as the information on Commander appeared in his mind.
"You Fool!! What the hell do you think you are doing?!"
Commander Lucas stormed towards James and grabbed him by his shoulder. His expression was that of complete disappointment and anger right now.
How could his own son hurt someone like that?!
He felt deep disappointment in his heart while looking at the scared expression on his son's face. But more was the anger at how easily his son was ready to hurt an innocent person and a kid at that.
"I will deal with you later on!"
Saying that Commander Lucas threw his son on the ground. Everyone else trembled, their legs quivered in fear.
"And all of you too! Run 50 rounds of the whole Capital!!" Commander Lucas ordered loudly.
The others trembled even more. The whole capital was way too big of a place to run like that.
"Comm...."
A man in his 20's tried to speak but a glare from Commander Lucas silent him. He quickly moved back in fear.
"Do I have to repeat myself again?!" He angrily asked.
No one spoke anything and simply bowed their head and started running away.
James remained on the ground before a glare landed on him making him quickly stand up.
"Do I have to give you a special invitation?!"
Commander Lucas asked angrily. He felt way more anger than anytime he felt in his life.
"No! Father!"
Screaming in fear, James quickly started to run away following behind others.
Commander Lucas shook his head as he gazed at the sun, 'Where did we go wrong in his education...'
Commander Lucas turned his head towards the black-haired kid who stood on his feet now while dusting his clothes.
He started walking towards him with a conflicted expression.
"Sorry kid."
Commander Lucas apologized, making Kyle lift his head and look at him with a curious expression. He didn't think that there was anything wrong, on the contrary, Kyle was grateful for Commander Lucas saving him.
"No! Commander Lucas! I am thankful for you to save me!" Kyle gratefully spoke while bowing.
Kyle's feelings were real. He would be quite injured if he was hit by that fireball but he wasn't making him feel grateful.
'And I underestimated the resilience of the dungeon explorers. That trick would have immobile a normal human for more than 15 minutes but it worked for only a moment to the James....'
Kyle shook his head mentally.
He needed to focus on the present first.
Commander Lucas looked at Kyle who felt grateful to him making him feel more guilty.
'Urghh...I should have saved him first...'
Commander Lucas focused on Kyle and started to ruffle his hair. He decided to keep the fact that he watched Kyle getting bullied in his heart.
"Then, let's go inside!"
Commander Lucas spoke out loud with a smile to hide the guilt on his face.
Kyle nodded and started following Commander Lucas inside.
He had already met Commander Lucas before when Sebastian had taken him on a tour in the mansion and also Sebastian asked Commander Lucas to train him.
Inside was a simple wooden ground with some weapons from raging to swords and rapiers placed in the corners. There was also an archery ground on the further back of the hall.
Kyle gave a nod seeing the hall. He hadn't entered it before as others were training at that time but seeing the hall made him feel it to be quite good.
'A typical medieval training hall...'
