Frejars

Seeing one of his friends burn to death, all the bandits split up, and each went in a different direction, and Raja, seeing this let them get away.

He then looked toward the leader who was still on the ground with a stake of fire through his stomach, and said, "Looks like you're the only one left."

The leader then said, "Spare me, please. I can be very useful, I know a lot about this region, and I have-", but in the middle of his words, a spear of fire came and pierced him in the chest.

The leader of the bandits then began to scream in pain. The fire then spread over his body. He then lay entirely down on the ground and tried to roll in the sand, but unfortunately, the fire wouldn't go out, and then, after a few moments, he stopped moving.

Raja then got down from the cart, and the old man said, "Excellent sir Raja. These bandits got what they deserved. Nobody told them to mess with people they shouldn't have, but why didn't you kill the ones who were running away?"

And Raja said, "Don't make hasty decisions. I don't like to kill unnecessarily.", and then went towards the leader of the bandits.

Upon reaching him, Raja stretched his arm in the air and then made it as if he were pulling a curtain in the middle of nowhere, and right after that, the fire on the bandit went out, and there he was on the ground, fainted, but unharmed.

Raja then bound his arms and legs, covered his mouth, and carried him by the shoulder into the wagon. Then, he did the same to the other bandit on the ground.

Seeing this, the old man asked him, "You didn't really kill them?"

And Raja said, "There was no need. They hadn't done much of anything yet, and they presented no danger to me."

"I see, but what do you plan to do with them?"

"Well, when I get to Dekin, I will turn them over to the guards, and from there, they will decide what to do with them."

"Well, I guess you could say that's fair enough."

"How far are we from Dekin yet?"

"We are a little past the halfway point. It should take another couple of hours or so before we get there."

"That much? Damn, I think I will try to sleep then, call me when we are almost there, okay?"

"No problem, Mr. Raja."

Raja then got into the wagon and laid down on a makeshift bed that the old man had made for him and Gen.

Some time passed, and the old man said, "Mr. Raja!"

Raja then got up and asked, "What is it? Are we there yet?"

"No, but it looks like there's a fight ahead of us."

"Fight? Ahh! Let me see what it's about."

Raja then got out of the wagon and saw that a little ahead, there really was a fight going on between a group of people and a group of animals.

He then watched for a while and said, "Let's go. It looks like the people are losing. I'll give them a hand."

"Ok."

The old man started to approach the fight, and suddenly, Gen came out from inside the wagon.

He then said, "Good morning."

Raja and the old man then replied, "Good morning."

Raja then continued, "Have you rested enough, Gen?"

And Gen said, "Unfortunately not, but there is no way I can stay asleep all day."

Gen then looked where they were going, saw a fight, and asked, "What's going on there?"

And Raja said, "A fight between a group of humans and a group of wild animals. It seems that the humans are losing, so I decided to help them."

"Hm, I see. How far are we from Dekin yet?"

The old man then said, "Not too far. It should take another hour, an hour and a half at most."

"Good. Well, let's get it over with quickly, Raja. I want to get to Dekin as soon as possible. I can't wait to see my friends."

Raja then said, "That's right, let's get this over with as quickly as possible.", but in his mind, he was thinking, 'I just hope you won't be disappointed with the reception you will probably receive when you arrive.'

The wagon then approached the scene of the fight, and as it came closer, Raja said, "Hmm, these people ... I have the impression I've seen them somewhere before."

Gen then looked carefully in their direction and said, "They are from Dekin."

"Do you know them?"

"I've seen them a few times during the three years I lived there."

They continued to approach, and Gen then stood up and said, "What's going on? There are some city guards here, too."

Raja then said, "That's right, maybe this fight is on a larger scale than we thought."

They then got very close to the fight, and Raja said, "Here is good enough, old man. You better not get any closer than this."

And Gen said, "That's right.", and then after getting his spears from the wagon, he and Raja got off the wagon and headed towards the fight.

Halfway through, Gen asked, "What is this animal they are facing? It looks like a wolf."

And Raja said, "It's not a wolf, it's a frejar."

"Frejar? I've never heard of that kind of monster."

"They are very common east of here, but I haven't seen them since I entered the desert."

"I haven't seen them either in all the time I've been in the desert. Hmm, well, let's focus on dealing with them first, then we can try to understand what's going on."

"True."

The two then moved toward the fight, and some people noticed them. Some of the people started saying, "Who are they?", "Let's hope they're not bandits.", "Well, it doesn't matter who they are as long as they help us."

As Gen got close enough, he realized that there were around fifty monsters and about sixty adventurers and guards mixed in.

He then said, "This reminds me of the expedition we took part in Diton."

And Raja said, "That's right. The only difference is that instead of grunars, there are some frejars."

"Yeah. Well, let's get it over with quickly. Raja, you take the right, leave the left to me."

"Hey, there are more women on the left."

"Bad luck for you. Let's go."

"Okay."

The two then arrived in the middle of the battle. Gen threw Scar into a frejar and advanced towards another with Light in his hand. The frejar that Gen advanced on quickly deflected his blow, and as he looked to the side, he realized that Scar had also missed its target.

Gen then thought, 'They are too fast. It will take too long to deal with them like this.'

Gen entered into combat with the frejar in front of him while thinking about how to quickly end this whole fight.

At one point, he turned to Raja and said, "Raja!"

Raja had already killed three frejars. He then turned to Gen and asked, "What is it? Do you want to switch sides?"

"No, but the way it's going, it will take too long. Let's end this together, help me get these people out of here."

"Ok."

Gen then swung the frejar next to him away, took a few steps back, and started heading towards where he thought was the middle of the area where the fight was going on.

He was going very fast, and each step he took crossed a few meters. When he got where he wanted to go, he then closed his eyes, and then crouched down, putting his palms on the ground.

He stayed like that for a few seconds, and then he opened his eyes and said, "Endless space!"

Right after he said this, everyone on the battlefield couldn't move, no matter how far they walked.

Gen then said, "Raja, get them out of here."

And Raja said, "Okay."

Raja then started moving the ground underneath all the adventurers that were there, and one by one, they began to get out of the area of influence of Gen's essence.

After a while, they were all out, and then Raja said, "That's it, Gen."

And Gen said, "Okay, Raja, prepare a strong area attack now."

"You got it."

Raja then said to the rest of the people who were there, "Come up behind me so there's no risk of you getting caught in the crossfire."

Hearing this, everyone then began to gather behind Raja, and when everyone was behind him, Raja thought, 'It's showtime.', and then began to create a fireball between his hands.

The fireball started very small, but as time went on, it got bigger, and then Raja brought it up over his head so that everyone could see it, including the frejars.

He then continued to enlarge it to the point where it was as big as a house, and then he said, while trembling a little, "Gen, that's it. What do I do now? I won't be able to hold it for long."

And Gen said, "Get ready to throw it."

"Okay."

Gen then said, "Let's get it over with."
