Parts of the sea

Briny looked out of the boat and said, "It's true. We are going backward."

Gen then asked, "Why is this happening? Aren't we in a current?"

And Briny said, "Maybe this current is going backward like the first one we entered."

Raja then said, "That's right. We'd better change the current before it takes us too far back."

And Gen said, "You're right. Let me get us out of it."

Gen then went to the cabin, and as he entered, he put his hand on the altar and began to steer the boat westward. After a while, the boat came out of the current, and then suddenly, it started going back even faster than before.

Raja then said, "What's going on?! We're going back even faster!"

Gen then came out of the cabin and said, "Okay, the boat is out of the current."

Raja then said, "Gen, we are going back even faster now."

And Gen said, "What?"

He then looked out and realized that the boat was going faster than before, and then he said, "Why are we still going back? We just got out of the current."

Raja then said, "Did we get into another current?"

And Gen said, "No. I was looking at my mark, and it wasn't glowing. There's no way we could have entered a current."

Raja then said, "Damn. What do we do now? Do we go back into the current?"

And Gen said, "I don't know. What do you think, Briny?"

Briny then said, "Better not. We already know that that stream is only going to slow us down when we go back, so we better find another one."

And Gen said, "Ok, leave it to me.", and then returned to the cabin, put his hand on the altar, and continued to steer the boat westward.

After a while in this direction, the boat had come a long way back the way they had come, and then suddenly, it shuddered.

Gen then came out of the cabin and said, "Okay, we've entered another current. Did we stop going back?"

Raja then looked outside and said, "No. We just got back up to the speed we were going before."

Gen then said, "Damn, why didn't we stop going back?"

And Raja said, "Did we get into another bad current?"

Lina then said, "No. I don't think the problem is with the current."

And Gen said, "What do you mean, Lina?"

Lina then said, "I think the problem is in the sea."

Raja then said, "The problem is in the sea? What do you mean?"

And Lina said, "From the way things have been going so far, the most logical explanation would be that the sea is pushing us away from the water temple."

Raja said, "What?"

Gen then said, "What do you mean, Lina? Where did you get that from?"

And Lina said, "I told you. I'm basing it on what just happened. We were in a current, and we were being carried away from the temple. We then got out of it, and then we started to get carried away even faster. We then entered another stream, and we were still being carried back, just at the same speed as we were in the other stream. That means that the currents we are in are probably moving forward, so we lost speed when we entered them. However, it seems that the sea around us is pushing us harder than the current can push us forward, and that is causing us to go backward."

Raja then said, "Now that you mention it, it makes sense."

Gen then said, "The sea is pushing us away from the temple? I guess that's not a common thing to happen, is it Briny?"

And Briny said, "No. I've never experienced that in all the years I've been at the event."

Gen then said, "Well, does anyone have any ideas how we can stop going back?"

Everyone started to think, and then suddenly, the boat stopped moving, which caused them to lose some balance and almost fall to the ground.

Raja then said, "What was that?"

And Briny said, "It looks like the boat stopped."

Raja then said, "Really?", and then looked out and said, "That's right. We stopped going backward."

Gen then said, "Why did that happen?", and before any of them could answer, the boat started moving again.

Gen then said, "Are we going backward again?"

Raja then looked out and said, "No, we are going forward this time."

And Gen said, "Now we are going forward? What's happening to this boat?"

Raja then said, "Who cares, Gen. The important thing is that we've gone forward again."

And Gen said, "Well, maybe you're right."

Raja then said, "Of course-", but was interrupted by the boat stopping again and, after a few seconds, going backward again.

Raja then said, "What the hell is going on? We're going backward again."

And Briny said, "It really is very strange. I've never seen it happen before.", and then the boat stopped again, and after a few seconds, it went forward again.

This was repeated a few more times, and then Raja said, "We're stuck in a never-ending cycle. We have to do something."

Gen then said, "Briny. Do you have any ideas about what we can do?"

And Briny said, "Unfortunately not."

Lina then said, "I think I know why we are being pushed."

And Gen said, "Do you? why then?"

Raja and Briny then looked at Lina, and she said, "Well, what I think is this. Maybe the event sea is divided into parts."

And Raja said, "The sea is divided into parts? What does that have to do with us being pushed back?"

"Relax, I'm not done yet. I think each part of the sea has a speed at which it pushes the boats back. So let's say that in the first part, which would be the sea at the beginning of the event, nothing is pushing you back. So it is possible to go from one side to the other without a current helping us. But from the second part, the sea starts to push the boat back."

Gen then said, "That would be the part where we were just now, right?"

And Lina said, "No. We were on the third part of the sea just now."

Gen then said, "Third?"

And Lina said, "Yes. Let me finish explaining so it won't be so confusing."

And Gen said, "Sorry. Please continue."

Lina then said, "Okay. Moving on, the second part of the sea would push you backward, but with the help of a current, it would be possible to keep moving forward, and then the third part, even with the help of a current, it would be impossible to move forward because the force that is pushing us would be stronger than the current."

Gen then said, "Hm, that makes a lot of sense."

And Briny said, "That's right."

Raja then said, "It really makes a lot of sense, but how can we be sure that it really is like that?"

And Lina said, "It's simple. We just have to get out of this current. If I'm right, and we're really in the second part, after we get out of this current, we'll start to get pushed backward."

Raja then said, "That makes sense."

And Briny said, "That's right. We should try this."

Gen then said, "Okay. Leave it to me. I'll get the boat out of this current."

Gen then went to the cabin, put his hand on the altar, and started to move the boat westward, trying to get out of the current.

After a while, the boat shook, and Gen came out of the cabin and asked, "Okay, we are out of the current. Are we being pushed back?"

And Raja said, "Yes. We are. Looks like Lina was right."

Briny then said, "Yes, but let's go back into the current for now while we decide how to progress."

And Raja said, "Leave it to me. I'll get the boat back into it."

He then went toward the cabin, and after a while, the boat went back into the current. The boat then went forward again, and after a while, it arrived at the same point where they were before, with the boat going back and forth without stopping.

Briny then said, "According to Lina's theory, the place where we are would be the point where the parts of the sea change.

Raja then said, "I understand that with a current pulling us, we can pass through the second part of the sea, but how do we go through the third part of the sea since it pushes harder than the current?"

And Lina said, "It's simple. Just go through the same way as before."

Raja then said, "The same way? What way?"

And Lina said, "Using two currents at the same time."
