Princesses

Lina then said, "You can try, but I've never experienced anything like that in Dekin."

And Gen said, "Ok, then how do you explain the fact that you get a lot of things for free? Like in restaurants, when we go to eat, and when it's time to pay the bill, the owner of the restaurant says it's on the house."

"That has nothing to do with my mother, Gen. I already asked. They only do that because they say that just me eating there pays for everything."

Briny then said, "That happens to me too, but in my case, it's because of my mother. I always insist on paying the bill, but most of them never let me, saying that my family does so much for the town that I don't need to pay."

And Lina said, "I understand, but the reason for mine is not my mother. Like I said, I asked them."

Gen then said, "So tell me, why do you think several people on the city streets cross to the other side when they see you?"

And Lina said, "That always made me curious, so one day, I followed one of these men, put him up against the wall, and asked him why he crossed the street. He then said it was because I was beautiful, and he didn't know if he could stand to cross me."

Gen then said, "... I see."

Briny then said, "That's happened to me too. I've told people in town several times that I don't get angry easily and that even if I did, I wouldn't call my mother, but even so, many people still cross to the other side when they see me."

And Lina said, "Gee Briny. That's too bad, but like I said, mine is for another reason."

Gen then said, "Okay, Lina, this is the last thing I'll say."

And Lina said, "See. I knew you wouldn't be able to think of anything. I'm even quite surprised that you thought of three."

"Actually, I thought of many other things that fit, but there's no point in us spending hours here talking about it, so I decided to ask just one more question."

"Hahaha, okay, you sure have. Make the question."

"Why do you think you can create a huge chaos in the city and not have to pay for it later?"

"What do you mean? I create chaos in the city, Gen? I don't cause chaos anywhere."

"What about when you drink? What happens? Do you stay normal?"

"Gen ... so now we're going to talk about what we do when we're drunk. You're going to expose me in front of everybody, is that it?"

"That's not what it's about, Lina. I'm not going to say anything about what happens when you get drunk."

"Good. Because I have some of your stories too."

"Let's change the subject. Back to my question. Why do you think that after causing chaos in the city, you get away with it?"

"First of all, as I said, I never cause chaos in the city, it's just a little mess, and when I do, my mother always punishes me in some way. So, I don't get away with it, as you said."

Briny then said, "Wow, we are more alike than I thought, Lina. That happens to me too. I always make a mess when I drink too much, hahaha. In the beginning, my mom used to try to deal with the situation, but nowadays, people in town already treat my slip-ups as something from everyday life."

And Lina said, "Hahaha, that's interesting. Hopefully, one day, that will happen in my town, too."

Hearing this, Raja came up to Gen and said, "Gen you-", but Gen said, "Leave it alone, Raja. I said that was the last question, and I'm not going back on it. I know it's hard to hear what she's saying, but there will come a point when you'll begin to overlook this nonsense. Don't worry."

The four then arrived in front of the orb, and Gen said, "What do we do now?"

And Briny said, "We need to capture the orb."

Raja then said, "And how do we do that?"

And Briny said, "We just need to hold it in our hands."

"That's it?"

"Yeah, but that sounds easier than it is done."

"No problem. Let me take this orb."

Raja then went towards the orb, and when he got close, he saw that the orb was going back and forth without a clear path, so he went towards the orb and stretched out his arm to pick it up, but just as he was about to touch the orb, it moved away from his hand.

Raja was surprised by this, but he didn't give up and went towards the orb again.

Raja then stretched out his arm towards the orb again, and the orb again went away from his hand.

Raja then thought, 'It really is harder than I expected, but you can't run away from me forever.', and so he went towards the orb again.

He spent a few minutes trying to catch it without success, and then he decided to go back to his group.

When he arrived, he said, "It really isn't as easy as it looks."

And Briny said, "I told you so, didn't I."

Gen then said, "How are we going to catch the orb, Briny?"

And Briny said, "We need to go in a group because in that way when the orb gets away from one of us, it turns towards someone else."

Gen then said, "That makes a lot of sense. Shall we go then?"

And Briny said, "Yes."

They then approached the orb, and there it was floating across the room.

Briny then said, "Let's make a circle around it.", and then everyone got into position.

Gen stood there watching the orb, and then after a while, he asked Briny, "Briny, is it just me, or does this orb have a pattern to the way it moves?"

And Briny said, "I never stopped to pay attention to that."

Gen then said, "Look closely.", and then they watched the orb for a while in silence.

Gen then said, "See? The pattern is back."

And Raja said, "I didn't see anything, Gen.

And Lina said, "I didn't see anything either."

And Briny said, "Me neither."

Gen then said, "What do you mean, guys? It's right in front of you."

And Raja said, "If it's so easy to see it, then show us the pattern."

"Okay. Let the orb go back to the beginning of its pattern, and I'll explain it to you."

"Okay."

They then waited for a while, and Gen said, "There. The orb will start the pattern again."

And Raja said, "And how are you going to show us that it has a pattern?"

"Simple. I'm going to tell you what the orb is going to do at the beginning of the cycle."

"Okay."

The orb then started to move, and Gen said, "First it goes forward ...", and then Gen explained the first movements that the orb makes.

Raja then said, "It does look like it has a pattern."

And Lina said, "Maybe this pattern has some kind of meaning."

Gen then said, "Let's think about it a little bit. Maybe if we watch the orb for a while, we'll be able to understand something."

Briny then said, "You always want to do things differently than normal, don't you?"

And Gen said, "I'm sorry, Briny, it's just that maybe this pattern means something."

"No problem, Gen. You were the one who figured out the right way to go through the last two phases. So it wouldn't be weird at all if you were right, and this pattern is important."

Gen then said, "Thanks, and I have a feeling it is important."

The four of them then watched the orb for a while, and Gen said, "I memorized the whole pattern."

And Raja said, "Great, now what?"

Gen then said, "I don't know."

And Lina said, "Since you know the pattern the orb moves in, try to catch it."

"That's right. Let me try."

Gen then waited for the orb to return to the beginning of the pattern and then began to move in the same pattern as the orb was moving, which made it possible for him to follow the orb very closely, almost holding it in his hand. He then moved his hand closer and closer, to the point where he tried to grab the orb, but it quickly dodged from Gen's hand and then continued to move in its pattern.

Raja then said, "That was close, Gen."

And Briny said, "That's right. It seems that following the orb's pattern prevents it from running away from you."

Gen then said, "Yeah, I noticed that too, but I still couldn't catch it."

And Lina said, "Maybe you have to run its pattern all the way through to catch it."

Gen then thought about it for a while and said, "I think you're right, Lina. When it starts the pattern again, I will try."
