Abandoned by his family at an early age, Josh seeks to become a great magician.

But after so many years of testing himself in the identifying orb, he still got no innate element identified.

With failing scores, he is not hopeful to pass the entrance examination for magic academies or the technical ones. 

Since he got literally nothing to lose anymore, except his stuffed toy Polar Panda, he decided to go and do the test.

And to his surprise, he passed the exam and got admitted in not just any magic or technical academy, but the advanced magic academy.

"So, what now? It will be hard for you to find a magic academy with these grades."


"Yeah, I'm dumb, my bad, but you know, I just so happened to become dumb, I'm really smart before!"


"Just get out, I'm not in the mood today to take care of children's jokes. Go to the guidance office or principal's office or somewhere, maybe they will listen to your drama or whatever."


"Okay... see you tomorrow in the class sir."


"Wait, I will transfer to you the last semester's topic and some summaries, try to study a bit, I feel bad for the money you spent here."


"Hmm… okay, I hope that you can at least apply to a low-end magic academy so you can try to awaken and have a decent paying job."


'Wow, is he a tsundere teacher? Well, I guess I can also sympathize if it's about wasting money.  '


'But, what a kind man huh… At least kinder than my parents…'

"I'm home Polar Panda! Your father, the GREATEST MAGE JOSH is here! WA HA HA HA HA"


Josh hugged the panda-looking teddy bear that has a jacket as its clothes. He kissed it 5 times on the head, forehead, cheeks, and lips.


He hugged the teddy bear so tight and buried his head on its chest. This lasted for 10 minutes before Josh let go.


"Whoaa, Polar Panda you're as fluffy as the day I bought you!"


"Okay, I will study now. I think you will love a room better than this cramped space. Hehe, I will find a job to at least have that. Mwah <3"


Josh studied for a long time. It was 3 am when he stopped studying after returning home. Josh is dumb, it was the truth. But he can't help it, even with studying for long, he can only grasp little and surficial things about the topics.


"I think that is enough for now. My head might explode… even though it doesn't contain much…"


Due to being exhausted, Josh just randomly opened a drawer and put his notebooks in it. But one of the notebooks got stuck upon closing. Josh looked in the drawer and saw his old diary.


"Ahh… so you are here. How nostalgic… Might as well look at my shitty past…"


Hehe, I spent most of my parting funds from my parents to apply to this school. The school is said to be covered with the essence of basic elements. These are fire, water, and earth. I'll definitely have at least one of those elements if I enrolled there. Hehe… I can't wait to see my first element hehehe…


I'm already in my second year and even when I got soaked in sweat from standing all day holding the identifying orb… It still does not show any element... Maybe in my next year? Yeah! I'll have that next year!


I'm in my graduating year… Everyone calls me dumb… my grades got lower… I don't know, as far as I know, I am at least genius in theoretical knowledge before… The identifying orb still did not show anything.


My last month at the academy. Still don't have an element.


"Ahh, so my last entry was last month. Well, even if the chances are very nil… I will still try to go to a magic academy to have my awakening.
