Abandoned by his family at an early age, Josh seeks to become a great magician.

But after so many years of testing himself in the identifying orb, he still got no innate element identified.

With failing scores, he is not hopeful to pass the entrance examination for magic academies or the technical ones. 

Since he got literally nothing to lose anymore, except his stuffed toy Polar Panda, he decided to go and do the test.

And to his surprise, he passed the exam and got admitted in not just any magic or technical academy, but the advanced magic academy.

Josh is reviewing 2 days before the exam.


"OHH! So, in theory, if someone with an innate element did not get awakened before the age of 19, upon entering adulthood, their body might get damaged. So that is why even though I failed a shit ton, I did not get repeated. Maybe they are thinking of students' welfare. WAIT! Isn't this the same as what I've been thinking? I am a genius before. Then, I got dumb. Isn't this a side effect of my element going wild inside me?! WHOA! Maybe I really do have an incredible element for me to get this dumb…"


"Well, whatever… In 3 days from now, after the exam, I will get awakened. That is what really matters. If I get awakened and became smarter, then my element is probably rare. If I do not awaken… then probably I'm just fucking dumb."


"OH, MY POLAR PANDA! That exam is really HARD! But, hehe… I did answer all the questions… I am also confident for half of it… AND the instructor focused her gaze on ME! She must be shocked that my answers are correct in the hard questions! HA HA HA HA!"


'Right! I must call Sir Mel and thank him.'


"Hi, Sir Mel. This is me, Josh! I just got home from the exams AND I think I did better than the mock exam we did in school!"


"Hmmph, with all the materials I've given to you, it will be a miracle if you did not pass!"


"Okay, congratulations, I will end the call now. I am too busy for a chit-chat" 


'that kid… he is really working hard… please let him pass creator of elements…'


"Hi. I am one of the instructors from the education sector of the government in charge of giving the test results. I am here to tell you that you passed the exam that is done earlier this day for magic academy admission. You are expected to come tomorrow at 8 am sharp to the central plaza of the Neutral Magic Kingdom for departure to the advanced magic academy island. I repeat, 8 am sharp."


"I think I did not stutter. Okay, I'm hanging up. I'm Rowick. See you tomorrow."


Chapter 3: Test
