Chapter 15: Krizel’s spells

"You were paired yesterday. Go to your respective pairs for now."

After waiting, Rico then continued.

"We will have two types of training schema to follow. Those are peer training and group training."

"Today, we will have a short lecture then peer training afterward. Let's go to the gym."

...

The gym of the school looked like an auditorium. There is only huge space in the middle and bleachers on the sides.

"I will speak in the middle. You can sit or stand wherever you like."

Rico waited for the students to settle and then continued to his lecture.

"First, I will tell you how to get your spells. As to what's in history until now, we get our spells through what we call Creator of elements and his or her blessings since we don't really know where it came from."

"Someone's spell can be unique or common. But, having a unique one or a common one doesn't really matter much. What matters is how you use it in your situation."

"Now to get your blessings, you pour your magic presence in your element marks."

"How's it done? When I was your age, I clench my mark and think like I'm pooping. I'll make you feel what pressure from a magic presence is"

Suddenly, Rico's right arm burst out with light-green light. He pointed his palm toward the student and just like a strong wind, his strong magic presence swept past them making their hair sway fiercely.

Josh felt like a force is shrinking him albeit not really, it is just his feeling.

"What I did is a wasteful release of mana in my magic presence reserve. I can do this since I have a huge tank for it."

"Now that you felt what mana is like and the magic presence containing it, focus on that feeling and direct it to your marks. Ah! Don't do that here! I forgot. Do it when you had your peer training. Blessings are quite disastrous sometimes."

"With regards to peer training, you can get a room from the reception, and tell them you're starters. I will speak through the speakers of the rooms and watch you from the cameras."

"Now go!"

Josh and Krizel walked toward the reception and were given a key to a room for starter magicians. They ascended to the second floor and got to their room.

Josh opened the door and turned to Krizel.

"Uhm… Ladies first."

"…" Krizel looked at him for a moment but didn't say anything, and just entered the room.

"Do I lock the room?"

"…" 'What's this situation?' Krizel thought.

"I'll just leave it. So, Sir Rico can enter easily."

In the room, there are robot dummies standing in the middle. There is a huge tube made of toughened glass and inside it is a controlling table like that of a DJ in a disco.

Suddenly, Rico talked through the speaker hanging in the wall of the room.

"Now that you are all in your rooms, let's start."

"One of you enter the tube."

With a nod to Krizel, Josh entered the tube.

"Your partner is safe in the tube, so you won't have to worry about any mishaps in your spell blessing."

"You can control the room's environment using the control table. You can make it hot, cold, fill half of the room with water, or make the room too dry. It's up to you."

"Okay! Now that all of you has one in the tube, let's start your spell blessings."

"Remember the feeling of my mana wave earlier. Then, think that you are pouring out the same thing."

"Those in controls, check the measurement of mana in the room, and observe your partners."

After getting the instruction to start, Krizel closed her eyes. Then, she imagined the mana she felt earlier. With the advice given to them earlier, she tried the feeling of pooping to release mana from her magic presence reserve.

"Ohh! IT'S RISING! You're doing good, Krizel!" Josh said upon looking at the mana measured.

Rico noticed that everyone has released their mana through the camera and arrays set in each room.

"Good! Now, focus the mana on your marks, don't let it flow from outside. Make it flow through your bodies."

Krizel imagined the flow and after moments, she felt that there is a tank from where she can pull out mana from. She guided the mana toward the mark in her back, and to Josh's surprise, the room suddenly lit up.

"Fire! Fire! The room's is on fire! AHH! Emergency button. Where? Where?" Josh frantically looked around the tube.

The mark on Krizel's back looks like a small phoenix and it was glowing red. After she made the whole room covered in fire, she muttered without thought, words suddenly leaving her mouth.

"Hell domain."

Upon realizing that she muttered some words, Krizel gave off a surprised look. But, without her thinking of anything, she muttered again unconsciously,

"Phoenix's incarnate."

When she finished the words, her body got engulfed in bright light. After the bright light receded, Josh saw Krizel wearing fire armor, she has gauntlets made of fire, and she has wings gently swaying in her back.

"Whooaaa" Josh has his mouth fully open. He can't describe the grandness and beauty he is seeing.
