chapter five

The next morning Alex woke up,he prepared to go to his history teachers house for the training he talked about, on how to use his powers.

Alex phone suddenly rang, when he saw the caller Id displayed he smiled and picked up the phone.

"Yo Alex how far" a merry voice asked from the other side.

"Sam I already told you to leave the place you told me about till tomorrow, I would go after coming back from the place." With that he hung up the phone.

Alex was at the door of the of the address given to him, he knocked and his history teacher came to the front door.

Seeing it was Alex he grinned widely "so he brought himself,this is better than I thought" he thought.

Seeing his teacher grinning widely Alex was confused.

"Why is he grinning as if he's found a prey" Alex Wondered.

"Come in please," the history teacher invited Alex into the house when he snapped out of his thoughts.

Alex went into the house, he found it was all clean, he then sat on a sofa.

The history teacher sat in front of Alex.

"I will go straight to the point without wasting anytime"

First let me tell you the true story of how the gate and everything started.

Two hours later the history teacher finished telling Alex the history and all that happened.

Now let us move to the practical aspect.

The history teacher then lead Alex to a large basement at the back of his house, this is where we will be doing the training.

"Let us start from the fundamentals,we will start training from the four elements since water is the easiest element let's see if you have its affinity."

The history teacher then took Alex to a large pool of water in the basement.

"Sit on this pool of water."

Alex was confused "won't I sink if I try to sit on the water" Alex asked in shock.

"Don't worry the pool is not ordinary, you will be able to breath of u have water affinity, you won't be wet if you have air affinity, the water would evaporate of your affinity is fire."

"Ohhh so that's how it's is"Alex said.

"Now let us proceed, enter try sitting on this pool of water".

Alex sat on the water, immediately he sat on the water he sank into the pool.

"Calm yourself don't panic" he heard a voice.

"Try breathing in and out let's us see".

Alex did as he was instructed. he breathed and found out he was able to breath, suddenly the water start boiling and it evaporate all of a sudden, Alex was shocked so i have fire affinity also he was over joyed.

"Come out of the pool he heard a voice from above."

Alex came out of the pool looking somewhat weak because his energy had been drained.

"You also have air affinity that nice coupled with fire you have three affinity, we are not sure if you also posses earth affinity, but you may possess it".

"Have never seen anyone with that amount of fire ability you were able to melt the pool in an instant."

Rest for sometime we shall continue after you rest.

Sit there with your leg crossed, close your eyes and dispel all your worries make sure your mind is clear then then try to gather all the water particle round you then condense it to the form you wish."

Alex sat there for about two hours trying to do what he was instructed to do, many times he would be able to visualize it the he would condense it but when he's about to change it to the form he wishes the water would just disapparate.

He kept on trying and trying but it was the same result he was getting.

"Don't try to force yourself think clear of a clear picture and you will surely get it." He heard a clear voice beside him.

Hours later Alex was already tired but still he didn't get the last part of the training.

"Alex it is late you should go home now and come back tomorrow."

"Sir I won't be able to come tomorrow I would be going somewhere else tomorrow so let's make it next week,

sir "Alex informed the history teacher.

"Ohh since you are not going to come tomorrow make sure you get the last part before coming next week."

Alex went home feeling tired, he went directly into his room, slumped on his bed and feel asleep.

Alex opened his eyes, so it's already morning he yawned, he then went to wash up, walking down the stairs he found his sister surrounded by some people in black cloth and mask with some design on it.

"The blood moon organization" Alex said in shock as he quickly hid to see how everything would go on.

"The president of the organization asked you to return to take your rightful pace by his side" their leader said.

"He asked us to bring you safely but if you refuse we are taking you by force".

"Do you think I would be with someone like him"Lydia said angrily.

"Leave my sister alone she said she doesn't wanna come" a voice sounded behind them.

"What are you gonna do then if we refuse" the leader grinned.

" Going to kill all of you Alex said".

"Leave my brother out of this" Lydia interrupted them.

"Am not going with you" Lydia said firmly.

"We are going to take you by force then."

"You won't take me by force I will fight you to death."

Without warning one of the men formed an ice blade then used it to slash Lydia's neck, blood spluttered out of the wound.

Alex looked at his dying sister, he quickly held her hand crying.

He looked at the men with bloodshot eyes.

Before he could do anything he felt someone hit his head and he felt his eye lid closing.
