Wen Qing'er's reaction reminded Jiang Li of Ji Zhi from five hundred years ago.
When they were all in school together, Jiang Li often told Ji Zhi ghost stories that frightened him so much, he dared not to sleep.
Later, when Ji Zhi became the Zhou emperor, he retold these ghost stories to his children in remembrance of that shameful period.
Ji Kongkong is scared of ghosts – a fear that ultimately traces back to Jiang Li.
"Ghosts aren't scary at all. Everyone in the Underworld is very kind to me. I've had the chance to spar with some of the high-ranking spirits there, and everyone was pleased with the results."
Wen Qing'er remained steadfast, her fear of ghosts unshaken.
Jiang Li could only shake his head and smile, finding Wen Qing'er more and more like Ji Zhi from the past.
"Let's go. This dormitory building isn't a good place to hang around, it's damp and dirty, not suitable for sleeping."
