Chapter 84 A Chance Encounter

It wasn't until two o'clock in the afternoon that Santichai returned to the hospital. He waited at the hospital entrance until he saw the Siriporns and Phawta come out together. He could see from the way the Siriporns act towards Phawta that they liked Phawta very much. He grabbed his backpack and the food he brought and walked into the hospital. Santichai took the elevator to the fifth floor and was about to walk to Asnee's room when a voice suddenly stopped him. He turned to see KK smiling at him.

KK smiled and said, "I thought it was you."

Santichai smiled and said, "KK...what are you doing here? Are you sick?"

KK said, "If I tell you I'm too sick to take care of myself. Will that bring you back to me?" Santichai shook his head. "I knew for a long time that you would not agree, but I just thought to give it a try, maybe you will change your mind."

Santichai said, "You know better than me, I won't change my mind." He smiled. "How are you doing?"

KK smiled and said, "I'm coping pretty well. Why are you here?"

Santichai said, "Asnee, had surgery."

KK asked, "What type of surgery?"

Santichai said, "He have a tumor remove from his brain."

KK asked, "How is he now?"

Santichai said, "He is doing well. "He looked up at KK feeling guilty. "Are you eating well?"

KK smiled, "Yeah."

With the help of nurse Sroy, Asnee walks slowly around the corner into his room to see Santichai chatting happily with KK in the hallway. He didn't need to get close to know the identities of these two people. He walked slowly, step by step, until he entered his room.

Nurse Sroy asked, "Where do you want to sit?"

Asnee said, "By the window."

Nurse Sroy helped Asnee slowly to the recliner by the window. She smiled and said, "Khun Siriporn, you're doing great today. You walked a lot better and farther than you were two days ago. I'm pretty sure you'll be back to normal soon."

Asnee smiled and said, "Thank you."

Nurse Sroy said, "See you tomorrow morning. Tomorrow, we will learn to fold clothes and wash dishes." Nurse Sroy left the room with a smile, leaving Asnee sitting by the window alone.

While they were chatting happily, KK quickly hugged Santichai in his arms, and a teenager rushed forward and aimed his fist at Santichai. The young man's fist hit KK's upper right back. KK pushed the youth away with his left hand.

The young man shouted wildly, "Ai hia." He pointed his finger at Santichai. "I'm going to teach you a lesson."

Santichai looked at the young man and he asked, "Who are you?"

The young man grinned and said, "You don't know me, but I know you."

KK said, "He doesn't know you; how could he cause you trouble?"

The young man shouted, "Shut up! Ai kea."

KK took out his phone and pressed one on his work phone. He said, "Linda, ask the security to go to the fifth floor and escort a non-patient individual out of the building." He looked at the young man. "Leave or be dragged away by security. Don't shout and disturb our patients."

The young man gritted his teeth and said, "I won't leave until I beat the hell out of this faker."

Santichai asked worriedly, "KK, are you alright?"

"I'm fine," KK said, looking at the young man standing in front of him. The young man was probably in his twenties. "Nong, why did you suddenly attack Chai?"

The young man said, "Old man, this is none of your business, get out of the way."

KK said, "Everything related to him is my business. Also, if you dare to fight in the hospital, I will press charge."

The young man said arrogantly, "Go ahead, it's not the first time I've run into trouble."

KK shook his head and said, "You look like a well-educated person, but your attitude is super bad." He stared at the young man. "So, what did Chai do?"

The young man gritted his teeth and hissed, "He reported Dara."

KK asked, "Who is Dara?"

Santichai said, "The female student who created the pity blog."

KK scoffed, "She deserves everything that happened to her, you don't have to blame Chai, I reported her to the dean."

The young man said angrily, "So that's the case, you think you have a little relationship with the upper class, you are tough, you have not seen what I can do."

Two security guards rushed in from another hallway. One of the guards asked, "Doctor Suwannarat, are you alright?"

KK said, "I'm fine. Take this non-patient out of the hospital."

The two security guards quickly grabbed the young man's arm.

KK looked at the young man and sneered, "Kiddo, go home and drink milk to relieve your anger, don't mingle yourself with adult's problem."

The young man who was dragged away from Santichai and KK twisted. He shouted angrily, "Ai kea...I will make you suffer."

KK shook his head and sneered, "I should listen to you."

"A lot of weird things happened today," Santichai said, grabbing one of the bags and handing it to KK. "Here... I bet you haven't eaten yet."

KK grabbed the plastic bag and said, "Since you're gone, I don't seem to remember when is eating time."

Santichai said, "If I have time, I will remind you." He smiled at KK. "KK, I have to go, Asnee is waiting for me."

KK nodded, "Thank you." He watched Santichai turn the corner. He sighed and stood for a while, making sure Santichai wasn't coming back to him before he finally decided to walk away.

Just as Santichai was a few feet away from Asnee's room, his phone rang. He saw that it was Decha. He picked it up quickly, "Frank."

Decha said in panic, "Ai Chai, where are you?"

Santichai asked, "What happened, Frank?"

"Ai Nee called and asked where you were, and seemed very upset," Decha said.

Santichai said, "I'm only in the hallway right now and I'm about to walk into his room."

Decha said, "Um...ai Chai..."

Santichai asked, "Frank, what else?"

Decha said, "Ai Chai...Ai Nee...seems to be angry. Be careful. If he is unable to restrain himself, you call the nurse right away and they could sedate him."

Santichai said, "Frank, are you kidding me."

Decha said, "I'm not...I'm warning you."

Santichai said, "Thanks for the warning, Frank. I'll be careful." He hung up the phone and walked into the room.

When Santichai entered Asnee's room, he saw Asnee sitting on the recliner staring out the window, not looking at Santichai. He dropped the backpack on the sofa and put the bag of food on the table.

Santichai asked, "Do you want to eat first or do you want to bath first?"

Asnee said, "I want to wait. I'll let you know when I decide."

Santichai walked over to Asnee and sat on the sofa looking at Asnee's face. He turned Asnee's face towards him with his fingers. He smiled and said, "I met KK on the hallway just now, something happened...a young man came up to me looking for a fight, but KK called two security guards to take him away."

Asnee looked at Santichai and said, "If you are worried about him, you can take care of him, I don't mind."

Santichai said, "You don't mind, but I do. There's nowhere I'd rather be than here with you. Since we live in the same town, a chance encounter is inevitable." He took Asnee's hand. "Do you mind?"

Asnee said, "No..."

Santichai asked, "Did you see us in the hallway?"

Asnee replied, "Mmm."

Santichai chuckled, "I've known for a long time that my boyfriend is a very jealous person. I thought when Frank call me there were something actually wrong with you. I didn't realize that such small issue will cause you to act this way." He kissed Asnee's forehead. "How's the walk?"

Asnee said, "Very good. Nurse Sroy will come get me tomorrow morning."

Santichai asked, "Do you want me to accompany you?"

Asnee said, "I'm not forcing you. You can come if you want." Asnee still refusing to look at Santichai.

Santichai smiled and felt very happy. He said, "I want to go. So, do you want to eat first, bath first, or do it first?"

Asnee looked at Santichai surprisingly "What do mean by do it first?"

Santichai teased, "I heard that people who are abstain for too long are easy to get angry. I can help you vent and reduce your anger."

Asnee rolled his eyes at Santichai, "The Chai I know, would never say that."

"KK and Frank told me that if I want something, I need to say it, if I don't say anything than the person sitting in front of me doesn't know what I want," Santichai said, giggling. "So, pick one."

Asnee said, "I don't care."

Santichai smiled and said, "I'll help you release first, and then give you a bath. Then, we can eat."

Santichai unlock the wheels on the recliner and pushed Asnee to the bathroom door. He helped Asnee up and they went into the bathroom and closed the door.
