The School

'I look ridiculous.' thought Yudi, looking at himself in the reflection of a silver car.

The boy was wearing dark blue shorts that did not reach his knees, a white shirt, and a strange hat, the same color as the shorts.

He and his mother were together waiting for a group of children in front of the playground next to their house to line up for school.

"Do you think you'll be okay?" Akemi asked, with a worried expression.

"I believe I can manage." Yudi answered with a smile, showing his baby teeth.

Since the night before, his mother was constantly inquiring if he wanted to go, but with such attractive mission rewards, he couldn't refuse.

The reality was that mother and son used to spend the whole day together, so she was a bit shaken that she couldn't spend the whole day together anymore.

A few minutes later, Yudi saw from afar a man with curly green hair approaching with a line of children, who followed him obediently.

"Hi, we're here." He said as he approached, with a gentle smile.

"Good morning!" Akemi and Yudi said in unison.

"Ohhh!" The children exclaimed in surprise at the synchrony of the two, then began to whisper to each other.

The white-haired woman knelt to stand at his son's height and said: "You have to behave and also respect Midoriya-san."

At that moment, Midoriya and Yudi exchanged glances and a strange tension grew between the two.

'That man looks familiar to me.' Yudi reflected and tried to hunt in his memories for that face, but he could not remember.

'Why is this child staring at me? Does he already know?'

In a matter of moments, the reincarnated man lost interest in Midoriya and noticed someone was sticking to the man's leg.

"Ah! Introduce yourself to him, Joui." Midoriya spoke, pushing forward a boy of the same height and age as Yudi. His green hair was identical to the man's, who had his jeans grabbed by the boy.

Joui, with his hands behind him, bent forward slightly and introduced himself: "I-I am Joui-chan, it is a pleasure to meet you."

"You may call me Yudi, please don't use formalities." The reincarnated man still hadn't quite understood Japanese honorifics, so he said that.

In the next second, messages from the system appeared, surprising the reincarnated.

「Do you wish to make friends with Player Joui? 」

「Do you wish to make friends with Player Yudi? 」

They both looked at each other and immediately understood what was happening. While Yudi smiled excitedly, Joui flickered his gaze, amazed.

'This is getting interesting...' The white-haired boy thought, not hiding his sympathetic smile.

Just as predicted, preschool was a boring place. The teachers constantly asked the class to draw or play with something, which Yudi didn't like one bit, also because his only interest was Joui, who was always shying away from any interaction.

Finally, when he arrived home after the first day, a message appeared next to Yudi's left hand.

「Congratulations! You have just risen from Level -1 to Level 0.

All your statuses will increase by +10」

'Oh, I knew it would be worth going through this torture!' The boy thought excitedly, dropping his backpack on the ground. Soon after, the boy checked his Status Screen

'My stats certainly improved a lot after I leveled up, but they're still nothing because I only have 10 more years until he gets here.'

Since the thing that would destroy the world was still a great mystery to him, Yudi wished to put together a fail-safe plan, so he mapped out an ideal route for him to be able to achieve this goal, and the first one was: become the youngest professional hero in history.

That way, he would not only get the contacts he needed but also the influence to be able to alert the whole world. Therefore, he also needed to earn StarPoints, and since he didn't know how to do that, he would have to find someone who did.

The next day, during snack time, he pulled Joui aside and pressed him against the wall, with a confident look on his face.

"Why didn't you accept my friend request?"

"I-I don't know if I trust you."

"I don't care about that, you're a player, so your goal is the same as mine, isn't it?"

The little boy peered his green eyes downward and replied, "I d-don't know anything."

"Just tell me how to get StarPoints."

"O-look at the icon in the lower right corner of the skill t-screen, and you'll know." He retorted, then slipped under Yudi's arm and entered the toy room again, carrying his small metal lunchbox.

Yudi followed his colleague's lead and, upon opening the Status Screen, clicked on the skills icon. Countless branches appeared in his vision, filling almost his entire field of view, and without difficulty, he found a question mark in the lower right corner.

Before clicking on the question mark, he realized that he finally had a Status Point to unlock a primary skill, and the first skill, which connected all the branches of this huge skill tree, was: .

「Skill description: All your moves will be improved by 50% 」

Upon unlocking the skill, using his single Status Point, Yudi lengthened his arms, legs, and columns.

'That improved my body.' He thought, finally, as he stretched his hands.

As a child, he felt trapped and incapable in one that body couldn't obey his way of thinking, and it left him unable to use everything he knew, including the Martial Arts.

However, as if by fate, he heard a bang moments before he clicked on the question mark pointed out by Joui.
