15 Access to the training ground

Avril's POV

After school.

I packed up my stuff and left.

However, instead of going home, I went to a training ground not far from the school.

This training ground is the best place I've found after doing some research.

Their training programs are not just for werewolves, but also for humans with various classes for physical strength enhancement ...

When I walked in, the receptionist was very welcoming. "Hi, what can I do for you?"

I smiled and got straight to the point. "I want to improve my fighting skills."

Apparently, the receptionist was stunned.

She couldn't seem to believe that a girl as weak as me was actually trying to boost her combat power.

"Are you sure?" The receptionist reconfirmed.

"Sure, you think I can't?"

I stared unhappily at the receptionist.

The receptionist, sensing my displeasure, hastily apologized to me and ushered me in.

I followed her.

I want to come to the training ground because I want to make myself strong.

When I was bullied by hooligans and committees in my previous life, I had no way to fight them off.

I didn't know how to protect myself, and I ended up suffering a lot.

I also went through a lot of hardships and ended up losing my life.

So I vowed that I would not wait for death to knock on my door in this life.

I don't want to be a burden to Anthony anymore.

In this life, I want to be stronger and worthy of him!

Soon, the receptionist took me to a large training ground.

The training ground field was mostly filled with werewolves, who looked young and energetic.

A 6-foot tall man stood on the training field and he shouted, "As soon as you get on the training field, no matter what happens, you must take the enemy down! Even if it means death, you must do so."

Under his supervision, the two werewolves went head to head.

One of the wolves snarled, a dangerous gleam in his eyes as he turned his fist and knocked the opposite wolf to the ground with a single punch.

All the people immediately cheered!

I also felt my blood begin to boil with a little fear, but more than that, a yearning for power.

Just as I was shocked by this scene on the practice field, the receptionist took me to meet the burly coach.

The receptionist introduced me to the coach, whose name was Mark.

He's got a bad temper.

Coach Mark's face changed as soon as he heard I was going into practice.

"Are you sure you can withstand a punch in such a small body?"

I was upset to hear that, but I wasn't about to admit defeat.

"I may look weak. But you can do it, why can't I?"

The coach was taken aback.

Apparently, he hadn't thought of that answer.

But he regained his composure and examined me.

Finally, he asked, "Aren't you afraid to die?"

"What?"

I froze.

"Do you really think that everyone can be a warrior like me? Let me tell you, to be a competent warrior, one must be prepared to face death at any time. But look at yourself, what a fragile body you have. I'm afraid you've broken a bone before you've even thrown a punch."

I looked at him and replied calmly, "It's okay, even if it's either death or a broken bone, I'm not afraid. Since I came here, I'm prepared for the worst."

My answer seemed to surprise Mark a little, and he looked at me coldly. "What's your name?"

Without hesitation, I replied, "My name is Avril."

Mark nodded his head and replied coldly, From now on, I am your trainer. I will teach you so to improve your strength in the training field and how to become a competent fighter. If you want to master the skills, you better not complain, do you understand?"

Mark's voice was husky and magnetic and very attractive.

However, I couldn't believe it. "You're willing to teach me now?"

"Now, slam your fist hard into my chest."

Mark said without warning.

"Huh?"

I frowned.

Why did he make such a strange request?

"You don't seem too willing to do what I say, do you?"

I was reluctant at first, but after some thought, I decided to give it a try and see what kind of tricks he was playing.

I did what he said.

I clenched my own fist, then gathered all my strength into it and slammed it hard towards his chest.

I wasn't naive enough to think that I should be able to knock him out with this punch.

When I saw that Mark wasn't hurt at all, I was still disappointed in my own strength.

But Mark showed an expression of satisfaction.

"It's not as easy to become a warrior as you think. It's very dangerous, but if you're ready, you can come to class tomorrow." Mark said softly.

"Really? !" I shouted.

He nodded.

I immediately nodded happily. "Okay, thank you, Coach. I'll do my best."

I was overjoyed to learn that I would be able to start training so soon.

After leaving the training ground, I went to Anthony instead of going home.

Sadly, though, I wasn't able to find him in his office.

Reno told me that Anthony had something important to take care of and went out.

I feel a little disappointed.

Ask him, "Do you know where he's gone?"

Reno shook his head and said, "I'm sorry, I don't know."

I let out a disappointed sigh.

But instead of leaving right away, I chose to wait for Anthony in his office.

An hour later, Anthony finally returned.

I'm relaxing on the couch in my office.

I sat up immediately.

"You're back!" I walked up and greeted him with a smile.

Anthony nodded slightly and asked me, "Been waiting here long?"

I stretched and yawned. "Yeah, I'm so tired ..."

Anthony heard me say I was tired and immediately put work aside and accompanied me home.

On the way back, I stole a few glances at Anthony.

My heart is filled with happiness.

I always feel content when he is around me.
