Chapter 53: Fast and Furious

Despite Father Lincoln having a job many people envied, he was truly a penny-pincher.

Not only was he stingy towards others, but he was even tight with his own expenses.

Over half of his life, the money he had earned was mostly spent on Tania Lincoln, but to Father Lincoln, that was an investment, expecting Tania to marry a wealthy man and return a larger sum of money to him.

"If you say he spent all his money on Tania, I'd believe, but if you claim he spent money on women outside the home, I would never believe that."

Though Mother Sanchez felt that she was useless, she knew her own worth.

Even at her age, she would still get hit on whilst walking on the street.

Wasn't Father Lincoln's initial decision to marry her, a single mother with financial baggage, also because of her looks?

Amelia Sanchez: ...

If she didn't see it for herself, she too wouldn't have believed it.

But the more her mother doubted it, the more likely it seemed to her.
