"Why did you come here?" In the parking lot, as Tobias Perkins just got into the car, he asked Samantha Collins this question.
As soon as Samantha got into the car, she sat right next to him. Although Tobias seemed a bit angry, he was the one who pulled her in.
Samantha thought that Tobias's anger must have been directed at Olivia Taylor, so if she did not report it now, there would be no other good opportunity.
Her hand clung to Tobias's arm again, as she was about to squeeze her throat and speak to him in her most seductive voice, but then she heard Tobias say the next sentence: "Is this a place you can come to?"
Samantha was taken aback.
This was the first time she had heard Tobias speak to her in such a tone. She could detect the disgust and contempt in his words, and Samantha could hardly believe her ears.
In the past, although she could feel Tobias's indifference and ruthlessness as the heir of the corporation, whenever he faced her, he was able to show some tenderness and speak sweet words.
But today, no, the current Tobias, was different from before.
He exuded an aura of 'keep out,' even when she was right beside him, she could not feel any warmth from him.
Tobias was like an ice cellar, covering Samantha's body with the cold atmosphere. She was wearing thin clothes on purpose today, and her arms were already covered in goosebumps.
"Brother Tobias, I just wanted to come and see you..." Samantha carefully tried to please him, Tobias sneered: "I didn't expect you to be so good at finding this place."
Samantha suddenly felt that putting her hand on Tobias was a dangerous decision. She quickly retracted her hand like she had been pricked by a needle and forced a smile: "Brother Tobias, if you don't like me following so closely, I definitely won't make that mistake again."
Follow too closely?
Tobias's anger surged into his brain. He knew very well what kind of person Samantha was. He could hide his whereabouts from so many people, but what kind of person was Samantha that she could investigate his whereabouts and keep up with him?
Samantha's self-assumed cleverness didn't mean he wouldn't expose her.
Tobias suddenly grabbed Samantha's chin, her long diamond earring was pinched on her face, the hard stone scraped her face, and Samantha involuntarily cried out.
"Deception is the thing I hate the most," Tobias said, ignoring Samantha's struggles from discomfort under his hand.
"During this period, my tolerance for you does not mean that you can now misjudge your status and fantasize about getting any advantages by being at my side," Tobias's grip on Samantha's chin tightened, the diamond earring dug deeper into her face, and Samantha did not dare to make any moves, listening to the sound of her jawbones rubbing against each other.
"Have you forgotten my purpose for seeking you out, or do you need a reminder?"
Tobias's voice was now low, his restrained anger adding tension to the sound, which was supposed to be alluring. However, in Samantha's ears, it brought her terror.
She trembled and tried to shake her head, but couldn't move, so she could only make helpless moans from her throat, as an answer to Tobias's question.
"Since you know, why did you dare to do this behind my back?" Tobias suddenly laughed, "Oh, do you think the conditions I offered were not generous enough, or do you think I really fell for you, allowing you to cross my bottom line without any scruples?"
He suddenly leaned over, pushed open the car door on Samantha's side, grabbed her by the back of her neck, and forcefully pulled her out of the car.
"If you figure it out, go back on your own."
Tobias's car gradually disappeared.
Samantha was both shocked and frightened. She hugged her arms tightly, gasping for breath, staring at the direction Tobias left in, not daring to stand up for a long time.
It was her first time in this place; she could not tell the direction. She panicked and cried as her tears flowed, and she couldn't even tell if her snot was coming out. All she could do was breathe the air with her mouth wide open.
She looked extremely miserable.
Twice in two days, so miserable.
It seemed as if Samantha suddenly remembered something, took out a crystal-covered mobile phone from her bag, her hands trembling, opened the call logs, and dialed back to the person she most recently called.
Tobias opened a bottle of chilled alcohol in the car, drinking a small half glass in one gulp to ease the annoyance in his heart.
Willard Winter sat in the front, as if he didn't know what happened in the back, he sat stiffly, more like a puppet. He heard Tobias speak to him, "Go check who Samantha has been following recently."
'Servant of three families,' meant Samantha Collins.
Willard was able to sneer as he, too, looked down on Samantha's character. However, opening his computer, he said to Tobias, "Actually, thinking about it, besides her, no one can convince the people around you."
Willard knew that Tobias was now just looking for an outlet for his unease.
His whereabouts had been watched and even the chess pieces he found had moved on his chessboard. It was strange for Tobias to feel at ease in such a disrupted situation.
All the more reason was that Olivia Taylor was involved in the matter.
Willard had been with Tobias for so many years, and although he couldn't fathom his intentions, he could still see who Tobias liked and disliked.
He faced the cold code and numbers, but it didn't mean he couldn't understand human relationships and right from wrong.
Every time Tobias faced Samantha, it was with three points of disgust and two points of alienation. However, it was weird that as soon as Olivia Taylor was involved, Tobias could change his emotions instantly and suddenly become affectionate and considerate towards Samantha.
Tobias was a strange person.
That was how Willard defined Tobias.
"I've located her mobile phone, and interestingly, she's heading towards Willow Mansion," Willard glanced at the red dot flashing on the map, stroking his chin. He opened another window, filled with rows of numbers.
There was a row of eleven numbers, repeating many times, but all using different masks to cover them, and it started happening frequently since last month.
"The call history is also very interesting; it seems she has indeed been targeted and used."
After listening to Willard's words, Tobias said angrily, "I want to know who's behind it."
Instead of answering directly, Willard traced the location of each call on the map, forming a clear route.
