Linda practically dragged Olivia along as they went towards the President's exclusive elevator, which took them directly to the 32nd floor. At this point, they were unable to access this elevator from the doorway.
To use the employee corridor elevator, they needed an employee access card.
Linda found her work permit from Belmont Club in her bag and tried swiping it, which proved effective.
Since they were on a high floor and the employee elevator was frequently used, the two of them waited at the elevator entrance for it to arrive.
Linda thought of Roxy Jenkins and couldn't help but vent her frustrations to Olivia in a low voice, afraid of being overheard: "What a stuck-up bitch!"
At this point, Olivia could barely pay attention to Linda's emotions. She responded to Linda, not by agreeing but by belittling herself: "She's better than me, and she really deserves to be in that office more than I do."
