Olivia Taylor rarely encountered Tobias Perkins being so domineering. Her wrists hurt, but Tobias ignored it.
She followed Tobias to the doorway of the banquet hall, which was carpeted. Some areas had raised edges, and Olivia's high heels tripped on one of them.
Feeling her body lighten, she couldn't help but cry out.
Upon hearing Olivia's exclamation, Tobias stopped and turned around, finding her shoe caught on the corner of an upturned carpet.
Subsequently, Olivia's center of gravity tilted towards Tobias, who hurriedly stepped forward to catch her.
"Are you alright?" Tobias supported Olivia's arms and helped her up.
Olivia, flustered, checked herself up and down. She hadn't touched the floor, so she wasn't embarrassed.
She looked up at her surroundings and saw Tobias had pulled her to the doorway. Luckily, most people had already entered the hall, and not many were paying attention to them.
