EPISODE 4 Farewell

Ripper: (tears form in rippers eyes) please guys don't abandoned me here.

Xia: No, we are not going to leave You here. Right Jack.

Jack: (sigh) (Just silent and turn his back)

Xia: we are not going to leave him. Right Jack? (Her tone increase)

Jack is still silent.

Xia: (facing Ripper,) you are going to be alright. Everything is going to be fine. We will find you some drugs, We will find an antibiotics. Yeah that should cure it. Right

John: it's just a bite it can be cure just as you said xia, we can dress the surface of the bite with spirits And plaster then give him some antibiotics

Jack: (Chuckles) sorry boy, there is no cure for it.

John: but....

Jack: if there is a cure. The world will not be in this state. We have to..... (Sigh)

Xia: No, No, No. We are not leaving him.

John: but there should be a way, we can help. If we find a chemist I can cook up somethings, I studied medicine. Well sort of. And am good at it.

Jack: are you sure.

Xia: can you cure him.

I check the wound again.... it's already s poo reading fast....

John: I don't know but we gotta try.

Jack: okay let find a chemist. Xia you stay here and look after him.

Xia: alright. Please be careful.

Jack and I looked for chemist and lucky for us we found one close by, The place has been loot, I look for the drugs to heal ripper, Luckily, pack some bandages, etc. As we made our way back, we met some guys in the way. They try stopped us. We hesitated then Jack give me a sign that we should wait.

#: what's in the bag

Jack: just some drug.

#: you mind if we check it out.

Jack: no prob

#: ( sent a guy to check it out.)

The guy checked it and confirmed it just drug.

#: Okay you can go.

Jack:.......

We turn our back on them but Jack stopped gave me a sign to go on.

John: why, we need you there.

Jack: don't worry I will catch up later. Hurry up.

I understand. I make my way back to the store where ripper and xia were.

John: xia how is he doing.

Xia: (happy to see me, cleaning off the tears on her face) thank goodness, you are back. Where is Jack,

John:He is on his way, he is just dealing with some people.

Xia: And you left him?

John: Jack can take care of himself. And what else should I do. Leave ripper here?

Xia: okay, sorry about that.

John: yeah okay, show me the wound.

(I was surprised when I saw the wound and ripper, it bulg up so big, bloody and rotten. It has also spread all over his left arm. I just keep staring, I don't know if I can fix it or slow it down. It's eating deep already. Like an acid. His eye,ears, Mouth, and nose are all bleeding non stop. His eyes colour change to red. It's such a pity. I CAN'T SAVE HIM.)

Xia: you can fix him right?

The look on her face, how can I tell her That I can neither fix it nor slow it down. This is much more than I can handle.

John: I.. I...umm... Hmmhmm(clear throat) I'll try.

Ripper: please help me I don't want to die. am too young to die...

His skin has change, (sigh) this won't end well. I brougth out the needed drug and apply them, Gave him some antibiotics, but nothing seem to work the bleeding did not stop no matter how hard I try to stop it.

After some minute.

It's still bleeding, I can't stop the bleeding talk less of healing him, at this rate he has lost a lot of blood. I just keep cleaning the sweat on my forehead. What will I tell Xia.

Xia: You have been at it for the past 1 hour, what is the status.

I can't hold it anymore. I let it out.

John: Am sorry xia, but I don't think we can heal him.

Xia: what? But you promise.

John: I did not promise I said I'll try my best.

Xia burst into tears.

Ripper: I already know this was going to happen as soon as I was bitten. (He try to sit as he scream In pain) Arrhhh, I can't sit. Have I became this worse. ( he looked at us and smile) what a pity I wish I can stay a little longer to tell you how I feel about you. Xia,

Xia looked up.

Ripper: remember the day you saw me at the dump, yeah, I've lost hope thinking there is no way but you, you gave me that hope and since then I vow to protect you and make you happy for the rest of my life. I wish we can be together forever, away from this trouble world, find somewhere peaceful to raise our children.

Xia burst into tears again.

Ripper eyes were soaken wet, I don't believe he can see anymore. Because he keep staring blindly at the us. I wave my hand in front if him to confirm and I was correct. He is blind.

Ripper continue: I wish I had tell you this earlier. I LOVE YOU XIA. more than anything in the world, more than revenge. I'll give anything to be with you.

Xia move to him and shush him up.

Xia: Please save your strength. I also feel the same way ripper. From that very day I set my eye on you, I've had feelings for you. Am just afraid you won't accept Me being a lady who is aggressive and harsh.

Ripper: that is reason why I love you. Xia? (cough, cough) I guess this my final goodbye.

He coughed blood

Xia: NO, please don't say that. We will get you healed.

Ripper: xia.

Xia: we will find a way to cure you. Don't worry

Ripper: xia please listen.

Xia: we are going to...

Ripper: please listen. There is no cure, I am doomed to end this way. Please find a place in your heart to forgive me.

Xia: (Sobbing) No, no, no. Don't say that, you don't know that. (she hug ripper)

I was juat silent, I don't know what to say except to shed tears, from the small time we spent together I knew ripper is such a great guy and doesn't deserve this kind of end, but what can we do. Except to Watch him suffer. Xia hug ripper gently.

Xia: Don't worry my love everything will be alright I promise.

Ripper: I know xia. I trust you but there is another way. John I want a request, (smiling with blood running down from his mouth,) the pain is too much, am suffering and I hate to see xia in this state, please end me as simple as possible. I don't want to turn into those things before I die. Please end my suffering now.

Xia: what? No, don't you fucking dare John. She hold rippers body tight, making the chance of shooting him impossible.

John: But Why are you asking me that?

Ripper: please am begging you. You are the only one here who Can do it. End my suffering. Please John.

Xia was still hugging ripper and sobbing. I began to sobb

John: why? I just get to know you but.

I can see in his eyes showing how painful he is and if he turned at that moment he will bite xia with no doubt, I don't know how but I brought out the handgun Jack gave me earlier and pointed it to rippers head. (my hands are cold.... they keep vibrating)

Xia: Stop saying that, we will find a cure just hold on. Jack will be here soon.

Ripper: ( his body is shaking)

John: Am sorry it have to end this way ripper. Am really sorry.

Xia raise her head look back, before she could Snap the gun away from my hand, I already made the shot directly at rippers head.

Xia: Nooooooooo. You killed him? Why? Why? (Screaming) Why? (She went crazy) I'll kill you for this, I will make sure I kill you John!!!

She rush at me, lay my back on the ground and sat on me, punching my face but I guard it with my arms, she kept punching me, so hard that. It's as if she wanted me dead. I could not see well because of my two arms guardians my face, she grab a knife from her stockings and was about to stab me. That's when Jack held her up and ease her down by pressing her neck which knock her out cold, this made her relax and fall asleep.
