The Life And Times Of Regulus 4 (The End)

Is it some sort of game? And why is there River in front of my name? Regulus never knew his full name, so he was surprised to see it for the first time. And all the skills below it were also confusing to him. He should look for someone to explain -

"Oof!"

Regulus felt a pull on his navel and suddenly found himself in the void again. He looked around and saw that same beautiful woman standing to one side. She was muttering something to herself, but Regulus was surprised that he could hear her easily. Were his senses stronger?

"I can't believe it's another failure. He can't grow either. His system just gave him the full power and he can't increase or decrease it. That scientist isn't going to like this"

Regulus was confused. What scientist? Why was he back here? Is he not supposed to be doing the Lord's work?

Regulus called out to Dorea and asked her why she brought him back and Dorea told him that he would be sent back to his own time. Dorea could see how shocked Regulus was and she wasn't even surprised when he started to ask if he did something to offend the Lord.

"Do I need to pray more!? I can do anything for the Lord! Just name it! Please, let me be of use to the Lord!!"

Dorea felt bad for the man. She thought it would be a good idea to comfort him since he was so confused right now, but she didn't know that she would be creating a monster with what she would say next.

"Try to help as many people come to the Lord's side then. You can use your skills to help people and I'm sure the Lord will bless you more and more. Maybe you can even be of help to him then"

Dorea could see that Regulus was just an overzealous priest. It would be good for Regulus to become some sort of hero for the earth since he is so devastated. That kind of thing is good for him right? She can't do anything for him so he will have to find a path on his own.

But Regulus didn't see it that way. He only understood that he had to bring in more people to the Lord!! Dorea sent him back and she sighed as she looked down at a file in her hand.

"Another busts. I don't know why that scientist keeps bringing faulty systems that ruin people's lives."

Dorea hoped that the next one would be better. Her name is Lily? Hmm, she has a nice name. But I don't know if she will also fail. Should we just check this one named Han Luo? He has the highest rating out of all the people we have been watching and his potential is also high. But the scientist said we have to check him last since the system he is getting is very unstable. It might even kill him if we aren't careful.

Dorea decided she would first check Lily and see if she is the one they have been looking for.

Dorea had completely forgot about Regulus already.

Regulus found himself back on earth and he started to come to terms with the fact that he was now someone with powers. He was a chosen of the Lord! He saw this as some sort of blessing by the Lord. But it was obvious that his faith was not enough! The Lord sent him back because he doesn't believe that Regulus can do what is needed yet! Regulus has to bring more people to the Lord's side before he can be called by the Lord again!

Regulus started a church and gained followership for his Lord. He was going to try and make these people believe as much as he does that the Lord they serve will always look after them!

It was through this church that Tyrian, Yue, and Ariel found out about Regulus. When you're a priest who can control things with your mind, news about you travels fast.

Regulus was invited to the mansion in City A and he left his church behind to go be with other people who were also chosen by the Lord! In time, he knew he will be called by the Lord once more, but till then, he will stay here with them.

At that time, Regulus was only twenty-four years old. A young man who was blinded by his devotion to a supreme being that didn't even know he existed. One year later, Regulus learned of Han and also learned that Han was the only one that was gaining more power among all of them! But how come even though Han was the most beloved by the creator, Han did not believe in the creator as much as Regulus did! Why was Han gaining power when he did not believe!?

Regulus asked Tyrian about this and Tyrian - as the oldest - manipulated Regulus and told him that he should go and ask Han to join them. If Han refuses, then Regulus would know that Han is not worthy of the Creator and that Regulus should try everything to try and kill Han for disrespecting their Creator!

One month later, Regulus would finally meet Han and carry out his five-year plan for trying to get Han on their side. and a month after that, Regulus would die for what he believed in.

At that last moment, while he was dying, Regulus wondered if his life ever had any meaning. He followed a Lord who never loved him as much as Han and he gave up everything just so he could be chosen by his Lord but yet he was thrown away like this. Was it worth it? Was all the suffering worth it?

Yes, yes it was worth it. Because even if he was not chosen, the life he lived was still his own and he lived it the way he wanted. Regulus thought he was a free man, and he was free to make choices of his own. In his mind, he believed that serving his Lord was the best choice for him since the very beginning, and that was what did till the very end. Regulus had no idea how much this ideal had blinded him to the truth, but what he did not know could not hurt him. So, in everything.

"Praise the Lord"
