Journey to Avalor

Ugh! I seriously don't understand the situation anymore. I get it that they feel some kind of connection with me but isn't it too much! I mean I have my own problems to solve. I know it's not the right way to think but having thses kids around would just to add my troubles. Maybe I'm just overthinking or it will be a blessing in disguise. Only the time know will reveal. But right now my priorities are different. I want to have my own people but I feel that this is not the right time when I have a lot of hidden enemies and not enough power to protect them. Maybe I'm not ready to accept new people in life as I'm afraid of losing more. My past has made me a coward. She thought with a bitter smile on her face. But still in the end she decided to accept them and tried not to complicate things for herself.

Next day Rosetta was here. Knowing that I have to go Elder asap, I ordered her to take the kids with her so that I can continue my journey. They wanted to protest but I told them that it is for their own good. As they need some time to recover from the stress. And I will come back after a few months to check on them. They just need to eat and sleep properly and gain good health. So they can get stronger only then they will be able to help me. They understood the meaning to some extent. And finally agreed to follow Rosetta.

After that I went to Elisa to ask about our journey. She told me that she was ready to move whenever is fine with me. As we were in a hurry, we both set on our journey to Avalor that day. During our journey, I learnt about how Elisa ended up in that place. She told me about herself. She belonged to a noble family of elves. Their rank system depends mainly on their strengths and power of that particular house. I did not exactly ask which rank her family, neither did she told me. She was quite a carefree person in my opinion and that's the very reason how she ended up in that cell.

She wanted to know about humans but unfortunately she had to witness the very dark side of them.

Our journey was rather short in my opinion as we had reached our destination in only two days. We entered the great Erigentes forest. and after wandering around for some time we entered their kingdom. The difference was invisible to the eyes but I could sense the change in the air. Since I was very sensitive to mana, I could detect the flow of mana. We passed through some barriers and Elisa told me that anyone with elves blood above a certain level in power can enter or leave without a problem. And as for the entry of a human you need the permission of another elve. But it wasn't that simple since it required a difficult spell. And only few families beside royalty knows it. But she did it and I felt that she is just not what it seems on the surface.

It was night time when we eneterd their capital. I was wearing a hood and my face was not visible to them due to dark. The guards at the gate when saw us were first confused and then they had a complicated look on their face. It was confusing for me as well. But they allowed us to enter after Elisa showed them a tattoo on her palm. They bowed and gave way. And we headed towards the castle which was quite unexpected. Rather than going to her family she headed towards the castle. Well that was my actual destination so it didn't matter.

When we entered the castle, people suddenly came to attend to her and voices of crown princess had returned echoed in the castle. I did not expect Elisa to be the fiance of the thier current crown prince. We were guided to the visiting quarters. In the receiving room thee were a lot of people and before I could understand anything, a young boy with silver hair and green eyes, a typical elve beauty, rushed to Elisa and embraced her. He had teary eyes but anger and frustration could be seen through them. After he made sure she was alright, he said:

"Liz, do you have any idea what had you done?

How could you just disappear like that?

We were so worried about you..."

And then he glared at me and said:

"And you brought a human girl with you!"

Elisa with her honey dropped eyes said:

(seeing her like that I wanted to puke)

"Dear, don't worry about her. She helped me a lot.

I apologize your highness, I caused trouble. I promise I won't do that again", she said while acting cute. Ewww...

Well I was surprised that the young prince had recognized me even though I was wearing my ring. It implied that he was not simple.

That boy was the crown prince of Avalor and Elizabeth was his fiance. She belonged to a duchal house and she was a well respected crown princess. But the thing that almost baffled me was that they were almost 100 years old but looked like 15 or 16 yrs old kids. Then she greeted the king and queen and rest of her family. Nobody asked her anything as they were accustomed to her odd behavior but they gave me a questioning look.

As elves and humans have been on friendly terms but only on the surface. As they both try their best not intervene in each other's business. But their strength could not be underestimated. When I greeted the King and Queen, the king's eyes trembled a bit as he had not expected an Aurelius here. But he did not make a comment. I took off my ring and my disguise fell apart. Everyone gasped at what they saw. I introduced myself and also stated the reason of my journey. Well first they were confused to see me but now they were bewildered to know that Elder Hughes has accepted me as his disciple. They gave a lot of respect and even gave me a guest room. They told me they will send the news of my arrival to the Elder so I don't need to worry about anything.

The most astonished one was Elisa as I didn't told her about my real identity. I also never expected her to be the future queen of Avalor. I wanted to apologize but she told that there was no reason to. She understood my reason. With her open mindedness she won my heart and that was the start of our friendship. I went to the room that they had prepared for me to rest.

That night I was looking forward to meet my teacher.

In the early morning, a maid came she was half elf. I liked their hospitality and their thoughtfulness. Elisa and I had tea in the garden and as we were chatting, Prince Ikejel came and interrupted us. He greeted with a flat tone and cold eyes. I sensed hostility in his eyes. I could not understand the reason behind that. But since I was a guest I decided to ignore his attitude but Elisa was not okay with that. She started to reprimand the prince saying that Athy saved her life and she was quite a powerful mana weider. Ikejel was glaring at me and jealousy could be seen within his eyes. Then I understood the reason behind his hostility because Elisa had been spending all her time with me. And ikejel was left alone. I decided not to intervene the couple's business.
