Unfair Treatment

What is the possibility of seeing live quadruplets? What is the possibility of rescuing them? What is the possibility of not recognizing them for a whole twenty hours?

I am not sure about the exact possibility but I am pretty sure it must be very small. And here I am, in front of quadruplets, whom I rescued and wasn't able to recognize till now.

Oh…wait! There is also a possibility left.

What is the possibility of quadruplets born with top-notch talents?

It seems none!

I looked at them carefully trying to find the difference but to no avail. They all looked the same.

I can't even recognize who was injured yesterday!

The carbon-copy girls laughed at my dumbfounded expression at asked at the same time.

"Big brother, who are you?"

I came back to my senses and introduced myself.

"Hello little sisters, you can call me Ercan, and what are your names?"

The girls nodded and introduced themselves one by one.

"My name is Ana."

"Alice"

"Ava"

"Asa"

I nodded at them dumbly.

Just one proper name. Among the four only one had a proper name. But that is to be expected. This world has some weird naming sense. Thank god! My name at least sounds good.

Remembering the previous day's battle, I curiously asked, "Aren't you all top-level talent holders? How come you couldn't defeat those people?"

Hearing my question they became angry and started explaining to me their tragic day. Listening to their experience, I was pretty surprised. That group battle in which I interfered was actually their fourth battle consecutively.

I say, they had pretty bad luck that day. Then I heard something intriguing.

"How did you know the name of the other children?"

A girl replied confusingly, "We met in the city."

"Which city?'

"Stone City."

"Stone city of the stone clan?"

"Yes"

"How did you get there?"

"Sister Elsa took us?"

Hearing their explanation, I looked at the sky and sighed. It seems that I was scammed. All the children participating in this test know each other. They had met before, spared before, and befriended themselves before. Now I know why Eve always seemed to be fresh and not tired of any training.

She had freedom. That damned stone city was just outside the outer palace. But this brought me a new question. If the children were so laid-back, how could they handle so much pain? So, I asked them.

"Hey, I have a question?"

The girls looked at me, motioning me to continue.

"How can you all handle the pain?"

"What pain?"

"You know, the pain of injuries, broken bones, sword wounds, etc., etc."

Understanding my question the girls replied with a confused expression.

"Because of the alchemy pill given by master. Master said that the pill can reduce pain by ninety-six percent. "

I unbelievably looked at them.

"Isn't that cheating?"

The girls were confused.

"Everyone ate it. You didn't?"

'Hell no…'

'Give me back the compliments that I showered you'll with.'

'Fuck my brain. How did I ever believe that these children could handle the pain.'

'And what about me?'

'I sweated for three years, toiling day and night; But, heaven still abandoned me?'

'God! Why am I treated so unfairlyyy???'
