The Bell Has Rang

Abel looked at the two people lying on the ground. They might not have been as weak as they appeared; they were simply overwhelmed by an unfamiliar magic system.

Moreover, they initially focused their attention on Daniel, neglecting Abel, whose voice still sounded immature. This distraction allowed Abel to swiftly defeat them in the narrow alley.

The casting speed, accuracy, and judgment in battle had all regressed.

*Sure enough, an easy life has made me slack off; my abilities in my previous life were better than this.*

It seemed that while he gradually regained his magic power, he also needed to exercise his skills; otherwise, his continued growth could suffer.

He glanced at the two people on the ground. If Daniel hadn't been there, he would have cleaned up their bodies. While they had few valuable items, Daniel's presence necessitated caution.

*I still have to maintain a positive image; otherwise, my relationship with Kamar-Taj could be jeopardized, which wouldn't help my plans.*

"Master Daniel, how should we deal with these two? If we let them go easily, they probably won't repent and will return to their old ways."

Even if they couldn't be killed, they couldn't be allowed to roam freely. Although they didn't know his appearance, a magician's methods could not be fully guarded against, and it was best to eliminate potential problems at the root.

After listening to Abel's words, Daniel deeply agreed. He thought Abel had considered this thoroughly, and unfortunately, he was not a Sorcerer of Kamar-Taj; otherwise, he would have at least reached the level of masters like Kaecilius or Mordo.

Although a twinge of regret lingered in his heart, Daniel was still glad to have found another fellow Sorcerer.

"Master Abel, you're right; we shouldn't let these guys continue to roam around. I'll bring them back to Kamar-Taj for the Ancient One to handle. They will probably be placed in the Mirror Cage for a long time."

"The Mirror Cage?"

Abel didn't know of this "Mirror Cage" at all, unsure if it was due to forgetting or if he had never heard the term in his previous life.

"The Mirror Cage is a prison built by Kamar-Taj, specifically for wizards who use magic for evil or those who have made mistakes to reflect and repent."

*It's strange that this idiom has become English after hitting the wall... My brain is hurting.*

Daniel opened the portal, and Abel lifted the two men off the ground, transporting them back to the Sanctum of New York. This authority to directly open the portal to the Sanctum was exclusive to the Sorcerer Supreme and every guardian of the Sanctum. Even Kaecilius and Mordo did not have this power.

When Abel and Daniel returned to the Sanctum of New York, Kaecilius immediately approached them, a look of confusion on his face as he observed the two unconscious men.

"Master Daniel, what is going on with these two people?"

"Master Kaecilius, they are the ones from the mysterious place who specialize in blackmailing and robbing newcomer Sorcerers. I'm going to send them to Kamar-Taj's Mirror Cage."

"I see. Then you can hand them over to me directly; I'm heading back to Kamar-Taj. You and Master Abel have your own business, so don't waste time going back."

"Then you have my thanks."

Daniel handed the two men over to Kaecilius, who put his hands together, formed a mudra, and condensed a circle of fire filaments. He lifted the two men into the air and led them through the fixed portal to Kamar-Taj.

As Kaecilius departed, Abel turned to Daniel. "Master Kaecilius really likes to help others; he feels like a gentleman."

"Kaecilius was a psychologist before he came to Kamar-Taj. He has his own ideals and wants to make the world a better place."

People with ideals and big ambitions can become extremely extreme when they fall into darkness. It was hard to imagine what Kaecilius would become if that happened.

They stopped discussing Kaecilius. For now, he showed no signs of turning dark, and there was no need for further concern.

"Master Daniel, if there's nothing else, I'll take my leave for now."

"Okay, then we'll see you the day after tomorrow."

"Well, see you the day after tomorrow."

After exchanging these words, Abel left the Sanctum of New York with his schoolbag on his back.

On the subway, Abel scrolled through Facebook on his phone and suddenly saw a headline:

*Famous scientist, businessman, philanthropist Tony Stark was successfully rescued; he is returning from the Middle East, thanks to the military's day-and-night efforts...*

*Thanks to the armor made by Tony Stark.*

*The governments around the world are all the same. Even in a major crisis, they don't forget to put on a brave face, let alone find Tony Stark for such a big thing.*

Now that Tony Stark had returned from the terrorist lair, it was undoubtedly the dawn of a new era. The bell of this new era rang with the hammer of Tony Stark, and the universe would soon come alive.

Of course, while significant changes were on the horizon, Abel's life would continue.

Today was Friday. Since attending a party more than two months ago, Abel had been rejecting all kinds of invitations. However, he could no longer refuse this one, as it was hosted by his good friend Sean. This invitation was one he couldn't turn down.

He went home, put his things away, took a shower, and changed clothes. After sending a message to Treya, he grabbed two Chinese dishes she had made for him.

When attending a party, it was customary to bring something. Some people brought alcohol, others brought food or drinks, and some brought special tobacco.

Of course, at Sean's party, no one brought that special tobacco. Midtown Science and Technology High School was a prestigious private high school in New York. The students there were either rich children or exceptionally talented, unlike public high schools.

Abel rode his new bicycle to Sean's house. It was a luxurious single-family home. His white father and Black mother were not at home, and only Sean stood outside, welcoming classmates as they arrived.

Seeing Abel arrive, Sean's eyes lit up, and he immediately greeted him.
