Chapter 60

"Dear Abel, how do you think this dessert is made, and why can't I make it?"

Looking at Terea, who was both happy and distressed, Abel smiled and said, "No matter how powerful you are, it is impossible to master all the recipes of desserts and dishes. There are things that you like but don't know how to make, which is also a surprise, isn't it?"

Suddenly reaching out, she flicked Abel's forehead, smiling as she said, "I am worthy of being my son. What I say is reasonable and meaningful."

Shaking his head with a laugh, Abel rubbed his forehead and was about to wash the plate with the dessert. At that moment, he suddenly felt a scorching power surge, as if it were calling to him.

Frowning slightly, he soon returned to normal. Abel placed the plate in the sink and said to Terea, "Mom, I suddenly remembered that I need to return something to Sean. Let's go by and come back later."

"You want to go out so late?"

"Don't worry, I'm tall and strong; it's no problem. Besides, Sean's house isn't far from ours, and the security in the nearby streets is among the best in New York."

"Well then, be careful. If you encounter any problems, call me or report to the police immediately."

After putting on his coat and inserting the repaired wand back into his waist, Abel reassured Terea, "Mother, I'm just going to send something. There's no need to worry."

"You just remember that."

"Okay, yes."

Putting on his shoes and leaving the house, Abel walked out of the apartment building, his smile fading as he noticed Johnny sitting on his motorcycle parked opposite the building. Without hesitation, he moved away from the apartment in Johnny's direction.

He arrived at a small deserted park and sat on a swing, looking at Johnny, who was following him. "Alright, let's talk. What do you want if you find me out?"

"It shouldn't be just asking you to surrender the San Van Gonzal contract, so I didn't plan to do so. The person who wants to talk to you this time isn't me, but..."

Before he could finish, Johnny's body suddenly exploded into flames, instantly transforming into the Ghost Rider.

Clearly, after many transformations, Johnny had become more familiar with the power of the vengeful spirit within him. The transformation was no longer as painful and slow as before.

"The one who wants to talk to you is me!"

Looking at the Ghost Rider, Abel found it strange that, although the Ghost Rider was so close to him, he didn't feel how dangerous the hellfire was; instead, he felt a strange familiarity.

Abel looked at the Ghost Rider and smiled. "What are you, schizophrenic?"

The sudden question caused the Ghost Rider to pause before responding, "Give me the San Van Gonzal contract!"

"What do you want the San Van Gonzal contract for? Are you planning to hand it over to the Witch Heart Demon, begging for forgiveness and becoming his dog? It's a pity the Earth Demon and the Wind Demon are dead; otherwise, with you, the land, fire, water, and earth would be complete. OCD satisfied."

"Mage! Don't show off your tongue. Only by mastering the San Van Gonzal contract can I approach the Witch and defeat him!"

"I have another suggestion; do you want to hear it?"

As he spoke, Abel raised his hand and snapped his fingers.

The moment his finger fell, the small, abandoned park was suddenly enveloped by barriers like transparent crystal shards, a characteristic of the mirrored space of Kama Taj.

Immediately after, portals opened, and under the leadership of the Ancient One, dozens of elite Kama Taj mages emerged, faintly surrounding the Ghost Rider, including Kaecilius, Mordo, Daniel, and Wong.

When Abel looked at the Ancient One and the others, his gaze lingered on Kaecilius. He felt something was off; he could sense the lingering black magic around Kaecilius. His strength had clearly increased, a benefit that was obvious.

The Ancient One could not have been unaware of Kaecilius practicing black magic. Since she still came with him, it indicated her acquiescence to this situation. In other words, the black magic Kaecilius had learned was with the Ancient One's approval, possibly even taught by her personally.

This was not good news. Was Kaecilius planning to step into Dormammu's arms?

Frowning slightly, Abel held his tongue; this wasn't the time to discuss it.

Turning back to the Ghost Rider, Abel said, "As a Ghost Rider, you should be familiar with the Supreme Mage and Kama Taj. I won't introduce them further. Now let's continue discussing how to deal with the Witch Heart Demon."

The Ghost Rider turned to look at the Ancient One and the others. He knew very well that he was not a match for the bald woman in yellow robes. He even felt that if Mephisto dared to leave the hell dimension and come to Earth, without the blessing of hell's power, the Ancient One could very well handle him.

Considering this, the Ghost Rider hesitated, contemplating whether to find a way to trick Mephisto; it was indeed tempting...

"You and everyone from Kama Taj, especially the Supreme Mage, are here. I believe you can deal with the Witch Heart Demon, right?"

Suppressing his thoughts, the Ghost Rider looked at Abel and said, "Of course, I'm confident that the Heart Sorcerer must take the lead, but I also want to guarantee Roshan's safety!"

"Roshan? The one arrested by the Witch Heart Demon, the one you like?"

He didn't answer Abel directly, but for Abel, this was equivalent to a confession.

After the spirit of vengeance became a Ghost Rider, Abel's thoughts were not entirely clear. However, he believed it resembled a dual personality dynamic or was more closely connected than that. The Ghost Rider retained all the memories and emotions of his human host but was wrapped in the immense desire for revenge from the vengeful spirit. He was not a mindless killer.

Now, with Johnny's love for Roshan at stake, the spirit knight's thoughts and actions were increasingly influenced by Johnny's will. This shift indicated that the spirit of vengeance was evolving from pure desire for revenge and killing to embodying Johnny's dominant emotions.

This change was why the Ghost Rider could discuss plans with Abel. He was different now—not the mindless vengeful knight he once was!
