Chapter 65

The sound of the water demon praying for Abel to kill him mercifully, accompanied by the painful wailing that seemed to originate from the soul, sent chills through everyone present—not only the mages of Kama Taj but even the demons themselves, who felt an overwhelming panic and fear in the face of Abel under the dark green light!

A faint, almost inaudible sound rang from the magic wand. Abel flicked his wrist, lifting the wand to release the curse. Under the grateful and relieved gaze of the water demon, Abel waved his wand in silence, and in the blink of an eye, the head of the water demon was severed, dying in the shadow of Shenfeng.

As the head fell to the ground, it quickly melted away, dissipating into the slightly murky water. At this moment, Abel returned to his original form. While he didn't appear much different than before, in the hearts of everyone present, he was already transformed.

The Ancient One slowly approached Abel, as if the incident had never happened. She nodded and said, "Master Abel, thank you for removing the subspace of the water monster. I will handle it from here!"

Nodding slightly, Abel replied, "Then I'll leave it to you, Ancient One. It's best for me to refrain from further fighting for now."

With that, Abel transformed into black smoke, settling on a nearby boulder to observe the ongoing battle.

He flicked his wand and noted that a relatively small crack had formed in the wand, a sign that the heart-boring spell had placed considerable strain on it. While the crack was minor and wouldn't significantly impact his use of the wand, Abel realized he needed to craft a new one soon.

Just as Abel pondered his situation, an evil spirit knight was sent flying by the Heart Witch, crashing into a collapsed stone slab. The impact twisted the knight's head at an unnatural angle, causing the hellfire that burned around him to weaken significantly. Black smoke began to escape from his body, indicating serious injury.

The Heart Witch was not without damage either; much of her face had become skeletal, and a deep wound pierced her abdomen, made worse by the interference of the hellfire that made self-healing nearly impossible.

When the water demon created the subspace earlier, the Heart Witch had planned to eliminate the evil spirit knight first, but she hadn't anticipated the knight's strength and the water demon's swift defeat.

With a cruel grin, the Heart Witch addressed the Ancient One, "I've already dealt with the knight, and now it's your turn, Supreme Mage. Once I finish you off, I'll wipe out every last one of your human mages and erase the existence of Kama Taj!"

"Thank you for the reminder; I almost forgot," replied the Ancient One, her voice steady. "But before I deal with you, I'll take care of your demons."

With a gentle wave of her hand, cracks spread from beneath the Ancient One's feet, quickly ensnaring every demon except the Heart Witch in a thick purple arc. In their painful wails, the demons were swiftly pulled underground, disappearing from view.

One spell had wiped out the remaining demons, leaving Abel breathless at the display of power. This was the strength of the Ancient One.

Although Abel understood that such magic came with a cost, the sheer visual impact of it was staggering.

Not only Abel, but also the mages of Kama Taj and the Heart Witch were left in awe of the Ancient One's abilities.

Before the Heart Witch could recover, the Ancient One raised her hand, enveloping the entire Saint Van Gonzal in a mirrored space. As she waved her arm, the ground disintegrated like building blocks, reshaping itself to distance the mages of Kama Taj and leave a battlefield just for her and the Heart Witch.

The Heart Witch, realizing the magnitude of the Ancient One's power, charged at her without hesitation, but just as she lunged forward, the ground beside the Ancient One transformed into a fist-sized cube of stone. It quickly morphed into a massive earth-and-rock giant, slamming down on the Heart Witch and driving her into the ground.

With a roar, the Heart Witch's tentacle-like hair lashed out, breaking free of the giant's grip and entangling itself around the Ancient One.

Seeing this, the Ancient One pushed forward with her right hand, conjuring dense red light that formed an intricate net, slicing through the tentacles and severing them into pieces.

With a swift motion, the Ancient One formed a seal with her hands and pointed skyward, summoning white thunder to rain down on the Heart Witch, wrapping around her body in an electrifying embrace.

Then, with a point to the ground and a wave of her arm, dark purple lightning erupted from beneath the surface, binding the Heart Witch even further.

Finally, the Ancient One clapped her hands together and pressed downward. The combined white and purple thunders converged, unleashing an explosive power that caused the Heart Witch's body to collapse into black ashes, which sank into the ground, vanishing completely from sight!
