Buying Kas (Part 1)

At night, Yang Zhai was looking at the storage bracelet. He had just refined it and was examining it.

They had already left the mortal village. As for Jun and Mah, he didn't put any effort into freeing them. The moment these two revealed that they were cultivators, nobody dared to hold them, even the ones who had bought them.

They were sitting in a cave and cultivating, except for Yang Zhai.

Yang Zhai activates the storage bracelet and pulls out a lot of essence stones.

"Si Yu and Li Na, both of you stop cultivating and start counting these. Also, separate the mid-grade essence stones."

Yang Zhai awoke Si Yu and Li Na from their cultivation and ordered them.

"Wow!" Jun Haru muttered.

Si Yu and Li Na started counting. As for Yang Zhai, he began to link his lines again. He was sure that he could completely connect them in a week. After that, he could start his cultivation.

Even though Jun Haru had seen this many essence stones before, he didn't think that the storage bracelet would have so many essence stones.

Mah Qi didn't bother and continued her cultivation after looking at the essence stones for a while. It's not like Yang Zhai was going to give them any anyway.

Si Yu and Li Na started counting.

After a while,

"Brother Fen, I counted a total of six thousand nine hundred and ninety-two." Li Na said.

"Mine are seven thousand and twenty-five," Said Si Yu.

They were both shocked by this many essence stones. But, Yang Zhai was not,

Only this many? These are not enough: thought Yang Zhai.

Rank 3 Kas were sold ranging from two thousand to ten thousand, while rank 4 were sold ranging from ten thousand to fifty thousand.

These many would not even get him a complete set of rank 3 Kas, let alone rank 4.

"How many are mid-grade essence stones?"

"Sixty-seven, I counted all of the mid-grade essence stones." Si Yu replied.

"Sigh,"

Yang Zhai sighed and stored all of the essence stones. He couldn't do anything about it, so he didn't bother with it anymore.

He could deal with it when the time arrives.

Right now, he could be said to be one of the weakest cultivators to exist in rank 4. The reason he could go against Tai Qi and Mah Qi was because of his orange and especially yellow lines. He was responding to their attacks before they were even thrown at him. He only dodged and rarely attacked.

He also took advantage of the night and many more factors. His speed was lowest among the rank 4. His body cultivation was only close to mid among rank 4, not even mid. Even then, he was using Vara, Reen, and The Last One. On top of that, his experience was the biggest factor.

In the end, he didn't even kill a single rank 5 cultivator. Forget about killing, he could not even severely injure them.

Even though he could go against rank 4 cultivators, these battles would be prolonged, which was not good for him. At this time, he could get surrounded or even killed. The only overwhelming advantage he would have would be his experience and The Last One.

One week passed,

Yang Zhai and the others came to a stop.

"We are here. Here, wear these."

Yang Zhai handed clothes to the others. He also took out one for himself. Before leaving the mortal village, he had bought some clothes.

"Remember, even though the chances are slim, it's possible that the Luo Sect might have been informed about us through the Dark Falcons. Even though they only know about Jun Haru and me, we all need to be careful."

"What we will do is this: Jun Haru, enter the village with Mah Qi. I will go with Si Yu and Li Na. This way, the chances of them recognizing us would decrease. After all, they would only be expecting two boys, not girls and kids too. Also, do not call each other by real names."

"But, just to be careful, burn your mouth a little bit Jun Haru."

After saying this, Yang Zhai summoned a small flame and slightly burned his face—but only just.

When the other saw this, they were horrified. As for Jun Haru,

"Brother, do I really have to do this…" he was hesitant.

"They might have a rough idea of your appearance. If you don't want to die, you should," replied Yang Zhai with a straight face.

"But… I don't know any fire path techniques." after thinking for a while, Jun Haru replied.

"No worries, come here."

Yang Zhai covers Jun Haru's face with his hand and burns the left side of his face. This much was enough. Even though Jun wanted to scream, he couldn't as Yang Zhai was covering his mouth.

After that, everyone went into the bushes and changed their clothes. Yang Zhai also handed five essence stones to Jun and Mah each.

Following that, Yang Zhai enters the village with Si Yu and Li Na. He hands three essence stones as a toll-free to the guards.

When they enter, they see people walking around everywhere. Despite its secluded location, this sect was surprisingly bustling.

The Luo sect was more powerful than the Bai and the Ma clan. It had at least a total of three rank 5 cultivators if Yang Zhai's memory served him right.

Before his revival, he made sure to read as much of this world's history as he could. He spent more than a decade on only this and didn't even cultivate. He placed all of his focus on this to make sure that he could remember everything after returning to the past.

Around this time, there were supposed to be three rank 5 cultivators in the Luo sect.

Yang Zhai had also visited this sect in his previous life and was quite familiar with its terrain.

Yang Zhai looks around and walks in a certain direction.

After a little while, he came in front of a shop. Its name was written as "The Falk Line".

"You two are not allowed to enter, also stop Jun and Mah when they arrive."

After saying this, Yang Zhai enters the shop and sees many glass boxes. In these boxes were placed a lot of Kas with different shapes and sizes. Some were even sealed inside the jades.

Yang Zhai ignored the ones sealed in the jades and looked at the other Kas. After walking for a while, he appears in front of a box.

This box was completely made of glass. In this was a small caterpillar. It was three inches long and was green with black stripes. It had small red and yellow dots in a straight line along its upper side, starting from its face and continuing to its rear end.

It was a healing Ka and was rank 3. Even though not the best healing Ka in rank 3, it was still a caterpillar and could evolve into a rank 4 Ka with time. However, it was completely random; it might become a butterfly in a few months or even a few years; nobody knew.

"I would like this one; how many essence stones are for it?"

Yang Zhai asks the receptionist.

Right now, it was the best choice he had. Otherwise, he would need to decide on what he could spend. If he wanted the best healing Ka, it would be too expensive. However, opting for a cheaper one would mean compromising on quality. Either choice would result in a loss for him.

As a result, he needed to take a chance and hope that it would evolve into a rank 4 Ka. Until then, he could still use it for healing.
