Chapter 24: Where Did They Come From?
"Our third matchup is Ronald versus Witler, " Khun said.
"This will be an interesting match."
"Let's welcome our participants. "
Ronald and Witler entered the ground. The crowd was shouting Witler again and again. It seemed Witler was the fan favourite in that match. Tailor greeted them.
"That gun is looking good," Witler said.
"Because it's the finest creation of my grandpa," Ronald said.
"Who is your grandpa?" Witler said.
"I will let you know who he is later," Ronald said.
"It's high time we started our fight. The crowd is getting bored," Witler said.
Ronald and Witler both stepped away ten steps. Tailor gave the signal. Ronald and Witler both shot at each other. Their timing was the same. The bullets crashed halfway. They both shot for another time. This time also happened the same as before. Witler decided not to hold back and shot. Ronald did the opposite and waited for Witler to shoot. Witler shot. The bullet was coming towards Ronald. Ronald shot an earth elemental bullet on the ground. The bullet got deflected. Ronald didn't come out and Witler was waiting for Ronald to come out.
"Come out, Ronald."
"Ok. I am coming, " Ronald said and shot a fire elemental bullet on the right side of Witler. Witler got distracted. Ronald took the chance and shot a water bullet towards Witler. Witler couldn't dodge and got hit. Tailor stopped the match and declared Ronald as the winner.
"So this sums up our second round," Khun said.
"Three participants advanced to the third and final round and one of them is our future head of the town," Lena said.
"I am waiting eagerly to crown our next head."
"Same here."
"As for our third round, it will be held at night. So participants are allowed to take rest."
"After only a few hours, we will crown our next head."
"Who do you think will win,Lena?"
"Khun, in my opinion, Frun deserves the title but I guess Worn will take the glory."
"So you are going for Worn?"
"Yes, I am and what about you?"
"I will go for Frun."
"That leaves Ronald with no support from us."
"I know and that tension will make him do better I guess."
"Let's see what happens."
"So people, we will be right back tonight with our final round. Thanks for coming."
The crowd started shouting Frun and Worn at the same time. It seemed Ronald had the least support.
"I suppose we are the only ones who are supporting Ronald, " Anna said.
"Maybe….." Ariel said.
"By the way, where is sir Timothy?" Anna said.
"Isn't he here?" Ariel said and looked at Timothy's seat. But no one was there.
"Toya, where is sir Timothy?" Anna asked Toya who was sleeping. Toya woke up.
"Isn't he here?" Toya said.
"If he were here, I wouldn't have asked you the question," Anna said.
"I guess he went home as the tournament was very boring," Toya said.
"We have to find him," Anna said. At that time, Ronald came to them.
"Hey guys, what do you guys think about the matches?" Ronald said.
"Oh, you are here!" Anna said.
"Is there any problem? " Ronald said.
"Actually..." Anna couldn't say much more.
"I can't see grandpa. Where is he?" Ronald said.
"We don't... know," Ariel said.
"What do you mean? He left the stadium? " Ronald said.
"Maybe….he did," Ariel said.
"I have to find him," Ronald said and started walking.
"Wait wait wait, you have a match right?" Ariel said. Ronald stopped.
"I do have," Ronald said.
"You cannot go," Ariel said.
"Why?" Ronald said.
"You have to win," Ariel said.
"No...no...without grandpa," Ronald said worryingly.
"I suppose he is all right," Anna said.
"Where do you think he can be?" Ariel said.
"He must be at grandma's grave," Ronald said.
"Ok. Then Toya shall go to your grandma's grave," Ariel said.
"I can go but where is it?" Toya said.
"Go to our house first. Then go twenty two metres to the west. You will find a tall tree. My grandma's grave is just at the right side of the tree," Ronald said.
"Ok, I shall take my leave," Toya said and left the stadium. He got on the Dynasty and started going to Ronald's house.
Ronald was worried and he sat on a seat.
"What happened grandpa? He is not the type who would leave the event on a day like this," Ronald said.
"He must be ok. Don't worry," Ariel said.
"Let me heal you Ronald," Anna said.
"Yes, please do," Ronald said. Anna healed Ronald completely.
Soon it became night,people came back to the stadium. This time the crowd was more than before.
"So we have come back for another time," Khun said.
"Get ready for the third and final round, " Lena said.
"This time the ground is a jungle full of different animals and traps and dangers," Khun said.
"Participants have to enter the jungle and find their opponents and shoot them with any bullet," Lena said.
"Therefore, this round is a no hold barred round," Khun said.
"This spices up the excitement," Lena said.
"Oh there is more to it," Khun said.
"In the middle of the jungle, there is a yellow flag. The one who will grab the flag and come out of the jungle first will be our winner," Lena said.
"As before, Tailor will be our observer who will observe the match from the observing room," Khun said.
"Let's welcome our last three participants Frun, Worn and Ronald," Lena said.
Meanwhile Toya reached Ronald's house. He found no one at home. So he decided to follow Ronald's instructions. He reached the big tree. Then he saw Timothy sitting in front of a grave. Toya assumed it was Timothy's wife's grave. Toya went closer. He stood by the side of Timothy.
"You know Ronald has got into the final round," Toya said.
"Yeah, I know that," Timothy said.
"Then what are you doing here?" Toya said.
"Talking to my wife," Timothy said.
"I won't disturb you then but only for two minutes, " Tiya said.
"What?"
"Yes, after two minutes I shall grab you and go to the stadium quickly, " Toya said.
"I see," Timothy said.
Ronald looked at the sky. The moon was shining brightly. But he saw something black flying. He thought about what it was. Then the thing came closer. Toya was very shocked after seeing the being.
"Where did they come from?" Toya said and took out his sword.
