Chapter 51: Return of the True Successor

Chapter 51: Return of the True Successor

Kircheis in his Phoenix form met the son of Peacemaker, Joseph Armstrong just before the day Joseph marched towards Zero Point. Joseph had an army of fifty thousand. He was all prepared.

It took Kircheis three days to reach the place where Joseph and his army were resting. Kircheis had to cross over Beast Continent, Demon Continent, Sea Continent, Underworld Continent and Zuch Ford. He flew over those continents.

Joseph was resting on the road to Zero Point. Since Zuch Ford was on the way, Joseph with his army had no choice but to fight against the Zuchs. The Zuchs got informed about Joseph and all the generals assembled to stop him from going to Zero Point.

Joseph was resting alone in a place close to the river. He was drinking tea and seeing natural sceneries. Kircheis landed suddenly from the sky.

"Yo Kircheis," Joseph said calmly.

"How are you doing?" Kircheis said and returned to his normal human form.

"I am…. excited," Joseph said looking at the river and fishes. Kircheis walked towards him from behind and sat beside him.

"It's been a long time," Kircheis said, looking at the river.

"Sure it has been," Joseph said with a smile.

"So, are you sure about destroying Zuch Ford?" Kircheis said with a serious face.

"The battle will take place on the Zuch Road which is hundred kilometers  away from the Zuch Ford and so logically I won't be destroying Zuch Ford so soon," Joseph continued in a calm voice.

"You are indeed right," Kircheis said, looking at the sky.

"It will be a long war," Joseph said calmly.

"I guess so," Kircheis said and went silent.

"What have you been doing nowadays?" Joseph excitedly said.

"Roaming over the world," Kircheis said, sighing.

"I see," Joseph said.

"By the way, I met Ariel K Wind," Kircheis said slowly. Joseph immediately stood up. Kircheis was surprised.

"So….he has started his journey, huh?!"  Joseph said with a big smile on his face.

"Why are you so happy?" Kircheis said with a confused face.

"Never mind. How is Ariel doing?" Joseph said as he sat down.

"He is doing fine. He has some reliable friends," Kircheis said, looking at Joseph.

"How are his combat skills?" Joseph said excitedly.

"He is good and I taught him the basics of Nithius when I met him in Giant City," Kircheis said, sighing.

"So he even knows Nithius huh?!" Joseph said with a smile.

"He already knew how to craft weapons and stuff with wind before I even met him," Kircheis said laughing.

"He sure is the Wind King," Joseph said with relief.

"You bet," Kircheis continued.

"Where is he now?" Joseph said, looking at Kircheis. Kircheis stopped laughing and his face became pale.

"He participated in the Peace City War," Kircheis said with a serious face.

"Did he win?" Joseph said calmly.

"I heard his crew was separated," Kircheis said with a sad face.

"Are they alive?" Joseph said, looking at Kircheis.

"Probably they have not died," Kircheis said looking down.

"Then don't worry, if it's Ariel's crew, I bet they are doing fine," Joseph said with a smile.

"I hope so," Kircheis said, looking at the river.

"Listen Kircheis," Joseph said slowly.

"Yeah?" Kircheis said with a surprised look.

"If I die in this war, teach Ariel everything you know and make him strong enough so that he can take down Victor with his bare hands," Joseph said slowly.

"If you really want to die, then I can kill you right here," Kircheis said and summoned a water sword pointing at Joseph.

"Calm down. I will try my best to win the war," Joseph said laughing. Kircheis dismissed his sword and sat down.

"So how did you bring your large army through several continents?" Kircheis said, looking at Joseph.

"I did not bring them here together," Joseph said looking at the river.

"Then how?" Kircheis said with a surprised look.

"I told them to cross the continents individually on their own and reach the end of the Underworld Continent in six months," Joseph said with a serious look.

"So it was a test?" Kircheis said slowly.

"Yes, when I first arrived here, I saw only five soldiers of mine and later came the rest of them. Some are still on their way to join us," Joseph said looking at Kircheis.

"When will the war begin?" Kircheis said in a deep voice.

"Tomorrow morning," Joseph said with a serious look.

"Are you done with making strategies?" Kircheis said, looking at Joseph.

"Yeah, more or less," Joseph said with relief.

"I really hope for your victory," Kircheis said with a smile.

"I hope so too. I really want to live at least a day in my life in fresh air filled with the happiness of people," Joseph continued looking at the river.

"Have you completed your Nithius training?"

"I wouldn't have dared to start the war without learning Nithius."

"Be very careful while you fight Victor."

"Why do you say so?"

"He is the man who killed your father, the strongest King humans ever had!"

"You are not wrong."

"He is a clever dude. He will probably avoid fighting in a man to man battle."

"I will make him fight one."

"Make sure you keep your eyes and ears open every single moment."

"I know that."

"That's great."

"Kircheis, what will you do after leaving this place?"

"I will return to my house which is located in a deep jungle in Human Continent I."

"Can you still call that continent the Human Continent I?"

"Haha, no king has tried to take over the continent even now. Probably the Kingdom Kings will take over the authority of that continent."

"Isn't the Demon King marching towards Beast Continent and Human Continent I?"

"Yeah, he broke my expectations. I never thought that the Demon King would dare to go against the Beast King."

"The Demon King indeed has guts."

They continued their chat until it was evening. The night was approaching.

"I will take my leave then," Kircheis said and stood up. Joseph followed him.

"Good luck, Kircheis," Joseph said while shaking Kircheis's hands.

"May you win, my Prince," Kircheis said and activated his Phoenix form. He started going above.

"Have a safe trip," Joseph said with a smile. Kircheis flew away. Joseph returned to his camp to prepare for the war on which his life depended.
