Demons [1]

27 days have passed ever since we got transported into this world. According to Red, there would only be 3 days left until we return back on our home planet, Aquamarine.

It had also been 11 years since I first started training on the other world. Right now, I'm nearly at the peak of Sharpening Stage. Just one look at my unrestrained vibe will cause intimidation.

As for my stats..

[Lugh Austere Bayer]

Rank: S-

Latent Potential: C-

Exp: 5,680,000

Strength: S-

Agility: S-

Stamina: S-

Vessel: S-

Wisdom: S-

Traits:

[Dagger Mastery (LV5)]

[Dexterous Hands (LV4)]

[Sword Mastery (LV5)]

[Decisiveness (LV3)]

[Sixth Sense (LV2)]

[Poison Body (LV1)]

[Damage Offset (LV2)]

[Stone Skin (LV2)]

[Resilience (LV2)]

[Corruption Resistance (LV1)]

Yup, I reached S Rank. Just by training idly, I reached S- Rank. Even though I felt that I could've reached this sooner than compared to this, my strength wouldn't have been this good.

At S- Rank, we wield a power called "Strand of Laws". That's also the reason why S- Ranks amd above won't get damaged by below S- Rank attacks.

That's because there are Strand of Laws already on their body; only Law Attacks can damage them.

Me, for example, wields the law of "Sword" and "Dagger" due to my Sword and Dagger Masteries. Both are Level 5, which is the minimum prerequisite to evolve them to Law Attacks.

Not all Traits can be evolved into Law attacks. Some would be an exception, such as [Decisiveness].

Also, I upgraded my Dagger Mastery once again, catching up to my Sword Mastery.

As I reached nearly the peak of the Sharpening Stage, my Sword Mastery Levelled up to 5. I am now standing on the borderline between an average person and a talented one.

Of course, my Comprehension would be able to carry me, thus I didn't worry that much. As for my Dagger Mastery, I didn't level it up beyond the Sword Mastery Level.

I felt that it would've been useless(Levelling up to 6) if I don't reach the Controlling Stage. Later on, I found out about this from my master.

To go past this borderline, I really would've needed to train my Mental Aspects. It seems that Mental Aspects would be materialized physically once you hit level 6.

But then, what would happen if I try to level it up? I tried this later on and this appeared..

[Levelling up failed. The EXP is insufficient.]

When I saw the EXP required to go beyond it, I was shocked. It needed 50M Exp to be Upgraded. Though, when my Mental Aspects Realm went up, the EXP required also decreased.

I also realized a fact. To go beyond this line, one needed not only a certain level of Mental Aspects, but also Comprehension.

Though, for me, maybe I could just level the Sword Mastery up instead of waiting for Comprehension if I reached the peak of Controlling Stage already.

"What's with this list? Do you know about this too?"

"Nope."

Right now, I am hanging out with Dan(Aria). Last night, Red gave the member of the Order a name list. It contains the names of the people that we should be wary of.

"But you've said that he has [Future Vision], right? If so, these people would cause trouble."

"That's what I thought too."

Since both of us are friends for 5 years, she didn't hide the fact that Red has that kind of trait. Now, I am just confused as to why she had to continue crossdressing.

Since she didn't tell me, I won't ask her about this either.

"Anyways, everyone really adapted well in this world.."

"True."

Yes, these 600 or so people adapted well on this world. By fighting against these occasional wandering goblin attacks, they now managed to kill those without much hesitance. There are even some of the more talented student athletes that got to E- Rank after a month of cultivation.

If you're wondering, they're all from the Order.

As Red wanted to keep Order in this building, he only gave the Cultivation Method light orbs to the Order members. Others have to learn on their own, including the one on that list.

Light orbs can instantly engrave the knowledge on that orb, thus no need for memorizing.

I don't really understand what's going on inside his head. If they're supposed to cause trouble, wouldn't it be better to restrain or imprison them?

"Red, we found almost ⅔ of the ones on the list possessing red-purple eyes the moment they woke up!"

"Got it. We should deal with them."

We are talking just outside the building when we've overheard this situation. Red-purple eyes?

"Demons."

"Ah?"

"I saw it in the records. People who contracted demons usually have those red-purple eyes. It'll then disappear after they control the demon energy that's being transmitted into them."

What the heck, I should've expected this. Thanks, regressor!

More than 80 people are incapacitated and were carried by the Order members on the forest. As they passed by me, I sensed the evil aura that surrounded those 60 people.

We then decided to tag along and see what's happening.

***

"You self-conceited bastard!"

"When the demon comes, you're dead! But we'll live!"

"You'll die along with your dogs!"

Sigh.. Humanity's stupidity knows no bounds.

Right now, we're in the forest. It's just daytime, the time when the sun rises. Red gave those lists last night for the Order members to watch. If they do find out that the person they're watching has a very uncomfortable vibe right after waking up, then its a red flag.

These idiots actually contracted those demons! Reason? They wanted power, women, and authority on that building, that's it!

How... How bland. Like, are the villains that are supposed to oppose this regressor that stupid? Oh wait, they actually planned to hide for 3 more days before reappearing as demon contractors?

How smart. But you just opposed the protagonist.

"Everyone, as you can see, they're not humans anymore. They've contracted those so called demons!

You know just how hideous they are from those fictional stories back in our planet, right? That's because, it's their true nature!"

Red then gave a speech. To summarize it:

They succumbed to demons! They're not humans anymore! They want us dead! They are to be killed!

"Now, are you ready to kill a former human?"

Silence.

Even those Order members can't, as they've only killed some magical creatures.

Even I can attest to how horrible that first time is.

"Leader, I'm ready."

Surprisingly, Misha, our cook volunteered to be first.

"A sword, please."

One of the members lent his sword to her. Moments later, she stabbed that demon contractor in the heart.

"Arghh!"

Before he died, he let out an ominous aura. It is pitch black with a tint of purple. It's the hidden vibe that I've sensed earlier.

"Are you fine seeing this?"

"Yes.. I would've to do that too sooner or later. Aquamarine would be quite chaotic already, right?"

"Mn."

I replied to Dan(Aria) as I played with the dagger on my hand.

After Misha killed that guy, she didn't puke, shake uncontrollably, or had a grave look on her face. She just became cold.

A very normal girl, that's my impression of her moments ago. She often talks to others, gets shy when her cooking got praised, and so on. I didn't expect that she would react like this..

Sigh..

It took them 40 minutes. The final result is that all of the Order member killed one. Some cried, some puked, some shivered, it's basically the same as I from before.

As they walked out of the forest, they had a more mature vibe, as if they're not a normal person anymore.

I can understand why Red did all of this. Maybe this Order is created for him to gather power back on Aquamarine. Since Red probably utilized his past life knowledge and confirmed that they can be trusted, he might've wanted to form his group. Still, I'm not against it.

The stronger he is, the more chance he has towards saving the world from ruins.

"They had to overcome that hurdle. You also have to."

"Yes.. Sigh.."

What a fucked up world. The other world is like this, and even Aquamarine is gonna be like this.

Myself from the past life should've experienced this one too, right?

***

In a pitch black world with chaotic fog and glitch-like effects happen, I am an audience.

I don't know how long this will last, but I decided to just stare on that blank empty space.

"..ke."

Suddenly, someone appeared on my back. I faced him, but all I could see is the static effects.

As if wanting to say something to me, he opened his mouth, but I can't understand him. I can't hear what's he's talking about.

Suddenly, the darkness consumed me.

***

"Huff!"

I suddenly jumped up my seat, startling the others who are also sleeping on their desks.

A dream? What the hell is that? That's so creepy!

"Everyone, a horde attack!"

Mr Mark's voice passed through all the walls, waking everyone up.

It was this day. The 30th day, the day we're supposed to return. At this moment, the largest monster horde attack happened.
