Progress [3]

Normal humans perceive the world with their 5 senses. Sometimes, they can use their 6th and 7th senses. Meanwhile, the brain is the one responsible for deciphering the information that we perceive.

As a Law Realm, I had surpassed the normal human's limits. Even so, this one trait made such a huge difference. I put aside the trait wheel, for now, testing out the effects of this new trait first.

First of all, the things that I've sensed in my surroundings.

Huge amounts of information entered my head. Then, it formed into sentences inside my head. This is very similar to when I'm reading light novels back then. After all, that's the name of this trait.

[A Reader's Perspective]

-Allows the possessor of this trait to read the world like an open book. The information sensed by the possessor would turn into mental sentences, allowing him to grasp the information instantly.

-The coverage of this trait can be decided at the will of the possessor, although the speed, amount, and quality of the information being grasped depend on the level of the trait.

A few moments ago, I got a wisdom-type trait.

"No way.."

Looking at the trait that I got, I couldn't believe it. Yes, it's not a prefixed one like Aria's and Master's, but this is of huge help to me.

[The trait [Information Analyst] is synchronizing with [Sixth Sense]!]

[The trait [Information Analyst] is being consumed to awaken a new trait..]

[The trait [Information Analyst] is...]

"What the hell..?"

I shouted in a loud way due to my shock. Thankfully, Aria didn't wake up.

"Something's wrong?"

"No. Thanks for asking, Ms. Alina."

My attention went back to the prompts popping up in front of me. After waiting for a while, the final prompt appeared.

[The trait [A Reader's Perspective] is created.]

What? What now?

What's with this trait? If its still a wisdom-type, does it mean that I can read the world like an open book?

Checking the description, I am shocked. So all of that was true?!

"I can't believe that all of this happened.."

"Is it something good?"

"Yes."

I stopped reminiscing about what happened earlier as I replied to Ms. Alina.

This trait works like a passive skill, huh? For now, I'll set the coverage to the 50,000m radius starting from this house.

The next thing to do is to spin the trait wheel again.

This time, I got a less desirable trait. What's with this [Charm of Steel]?!

It got converted into one suitable for me, but it doesn't change the fact that it's still of not much use to me.

[Stylishness]

-Makes the possessor more flashy in doing anything. Wherever he goes, attention follows.

I got a dud...Increasing its level is useless. Onto the next one, then.

The wheel spun very fast until it stopped at a trait.

[Mechanical Affinity]

-Allows the possessor to properly interact with mechanical objects.

A trait with a short and concise description. Still, this trait is the one that I've wanted for years.

'YESSSSSSS!!!!'

''Master?!''

Both Xiao Song and Little Xue got startled due to my shout.

'Sorry!'

A new power descended upon me. Right now, I felt that I could now 'properly' understand and . It's this connection that hindered me from creating proper mechanical armaments.

'This is why. I got the key to it now.'

My entire being got filled with excitement as I prevented myself from creating mechanical armaments now. I should focus on the trait wheel first.

Calm down.. Calm down..

It took me 3 breaths to calm down completely. My excitement got down a bit. This is the 8th spin...

[Mechanical Sense]

-Allows the possessor to perfect any mechanic-related action. Increases the [Mechanical Affinity] by 1.5x.

-Provides the possessor 'correction' when it comes to mechanic-related activities.

'WHAT THE F-'

'Master, stop surprising us!'

'Sorry, sorry.'

My god. RNG is favoring me so damn well today. I have a one-in-a-eleven chance of getting this, and I got it right after [Mechanical Affinity]!

To be honest, I planned on stopping after the twelfth spin. But after seeing this, I think I'll go ahead and try to do 15 spins.

Gacha addiction is too strong. Even though I know this isn't logical, I still want to do it. Yes, this lucky spin is a very rare chance, but I still have other uses for the EXP...

Argh, damn it.

***

In the end, I got 3 duds out of the 7 traits that I've drawn. As for the other 4, they were useful for me.

[Smooth Skin], [Beautiful Voice], and [Amiable Guy]... Just how the heck did he get those traits?

'Xiao Song, how do cyborg zergs get traits?'

'Modifying their body will grant them traits. Though, only their core traits would remain if their mechanical body got destroyed. Moreover, the traits that they gain through normal ways always get attached to their physical body.'

'Thanks.'

The panel can draw out those traits too? What about my traits? Is it attached on my body? Or my soul?

Nevermind, it doesn't matter much for now.

Meanwhile, I got 4 useful skills, and one of them can literally change the zerg world's situation.

[Space Swap], [Energy Recycle], [Unbreakable Bones], and [Perfect Physique].

[Energy Recycle]

-The spent energy will be sent back to the user by 15%.

[Unbreakable Bones]

-Enhances the body's toughness by 50%.

[Perfect Physique]

-Provides correction to the body, which allows it to move towards 'perfection'.

-As the body moves closer to 'perfection', the stronger the enhancements would be.

-At Level 1, the enhancement towards the body is 40%.

The three of these are very useful. Just the [Energy Recycle] alone is very useful to me. With that, the energy spent by me executing <> will be returned. If I disregard the exhaustion, I'll be able to fight longer.

As for the [Space Swap]... Let's say the battlefield of the Origin Slate is filled with Demigods while the Deities are pre-occupied. If a Deity appears, the tables will be turned immediately.

This reminds me of a certain card game where one needs to sacrifice a lower-ranked card to summon a higher one. For this, I only need to sacrifice my revival chance to completely tilt the scales of battle for us.

With this, I gained more confidence. I lost the chance to level up but gained this in return.

To the zergs that I'll fight later, let's have fun.
