Corruption [1]

"So you're there."

The female humanoid zerg spoke as she teleported closer and closer to that destination. With her being a zerg, she is completely unaffected by their space restraining devices.

She's the one responsible for the predicament that they're facing right now. Just by using a sealing card left by Solomon, the problem is instantly solved.

After a few teleports, she finally arrived at the interstellar ship.

"A High-Rank Deity? The Alliance really sent you?"

"You don't know us well."

Vera exited the ship along with her subordinates.

"Your voice sounds quite familiar. Where did I hear this?"

As of the moment, everyone is armed to the teeth. Vera's subordinates started moving strangely while the High-Rank zerg is still taking things easy.

"That's right! You're that bitch's assistant. Can't believe that I'll see you this deep in our territory."

"I never thought that I'll saw you, the ugly witch, here."

Her current appearance can only be said to be stunning. If others didn't know, they'll definitely think that she's one of the succubus race's royalty. If some inexperienced fighters saw her, some might get bewitched.

Of course, that's not the case for these battle-hardened combatants.

Swooosh!

She suddenly launched an attack without saying a word. This rain of darkness spears aimed at them. As if it's not enough, she even released a pink smoke in their direction.

Bzzzt!

A transparent shield popped up in order to protect them from these attacks. The spears continued raining down, but they couldn't break through it. As a result, the pink smoke couldn't enter.

'Talks here don't work. I have to play a card game as a result.'

Before leaving the ship, Vera gave them some higher-leveled sealing cards, in which most of them are at Advanced God Rank. There are even 2 of them that are in Peak god Rank!

One of them is the transparent barrier card, while the other is an illusion card. When the attacks came, Irna already used it in accordance to Vera's instruction.

To the outside, it'll only look like they're just standing. But what they're doing right now is to create an array!

That's right, it's an array where the combatants themselves are in the nodes and take part in creating it. For it to use up Mid-Rank Deities as the nodes and a High-Rank Deity as the core node, they array being activated is definitely far from normal.

As the results became visible, the High-Rank zerg Deity didn't have any change in expression.

"Hmph. You're all cornered mice. Let's see if you can still bring that slate back."

"What a coward."

"Huh?"

This time, Vera's illusion spoke as the barrier broke down.

"With all the advantages that you have, you still can't bring us down? Pathetic."

'What is she planning?'

The High-Rank Deity wondered. Still, she didn't get affected by such insults.

Pssst!

Another sealing card is used, producing an AoE effect. This time, the wind blades randomly assaulted every zerg Deity present.

Some put up a defense against it, some are unfortunate to get injured.

A black barrier isolated Vera and the ship from outside, causing these wind blades to not reach their targets.

"Did you stoop so low to attack weaklings?"

"Heh. Did you stoop so low as to wait for other High-rank Deities to arrive? You can't even kill us, what a downer."

"..."

This time, she went silent. It wasn't because of this insult, but because she recalled something.

'Strange. She didn't speak much in the battlefield before..'

Before she could even realize it, a blinding grey pillar of light rose, shocking her.

"Not good-!"

'Talking worked well! Hell yeah!'

Lugh rejoiced in his mind. When he saw that the barrier didn't last longer than expected, he decided to make an impromptu act. He asked Irna to let him manipulate one of the illusions and began talking with her.

Without it, 4 more Deities would arrive, capturing them before the plan could be implemented.

Due to that, more than 10 seconds were bought, allowing Vera and her subordinates to successfully activate the array.

"This.. Fuck!"

As the pillar of light grew longer, she knew that things are now unstoppable. That's because..

"That apocalyptic dimension! You dare use that!"

Mirages overlapped into the main dimension so suddenly. There are some terrifying war fortresses, some interstellar fleets, flying boats that emitted a majestic aura, and so on.

When some are fully summoned, they paused for a while first. But seeing that these are the zergs, they immediately attacked them.

Beams from the interstellar fleets rained down in this space. Some are the normal star-destroying cannons, but there are some that came from a terrifying technological artifact named "World-Ending Tomb".

"Shit!"

The High-Rank zerg Deity urged her origin powers to the extreme, resulting in her authorities becoming stronger at this moment. Darkness surged to that technological artifact as if it wants to destroy it, but it failed to do so.

Boom-!

The darkness devoured the beams fired by it, but it couldn't completely isolate it. In an instant, the aftermath of that explosion spread to the outside. Shockwaves were formed as the space continuously broke down into pieces.

Meanwhile, as the main perpetrator of it, Lugh and the others are in a calm place. It's as if the damages outside couldn't reach them.

"Get ready. We'll be going to the 'Distortion Plane'."

"Holy sh.."

Maen spoke out loud after hearing their destination. The others weren't exactly different, though. They all showed an expression of shock before it turned into grimness.

"The rewards will be especially raised later on."

Hearing that, their expressions eased for a bit.

'What in the fucking world? Why that place? I knew it, things won't be simple this time.'

Lugh thought that it was finally his turn to beat up others, but he despaired after finding out that they'll move into the hardest map since time immemorial.

'Why? That Distortion Plane is basically a shitty place worse than the frontlines!'

As Lugh understood more things, the secrets that he came into became more shocking as well. Based on the books, that Distortion Place is a place where a Half-Creator Realm could die! In fact, two of the zerg's Twelve Seats died here, and it was only then did they replace the other two with new Half-Creator Realm zergs.

After all, this plane's most common feature is the distortion of time itself.

"Sigh.."

Lugh sighed as he found his surroundings changing. After seeing that his sight isn't filled with painting-like visuals, he found himself and the others in a new place.
