Ajak's first thought was to stop the fight. She knew it had been a misunderstanding brought about by Kingo's impulsive behavior. Not like anyone could blame him however. All of them were highly strung after the recent numerous fights against the Deviants on earth.

She ultimately decided to let it all play out. Why? Humans were weak. So how was this human keeping up with them? She needed answers. And most of her questions would only be properly answered if she saw for herself the capabilities of this stranger.

One thing she was sure of however, was that he was strong. Very strong.

"Gilgamesh, Ikaris, Thena. Don't hold back."

She commanded her most powerful fighters. Ikaris looked at her, his eyes lighting up with cosmic energy and nodded.

"I wasn't planning on it."

"Less talk, more fighting."

Thena retorted and twirled the spear that had appeared on her hands.

Gilgamesh simply nodded. They couldn't afford to hold back.

"So how do we do this Boss?"

Kingo nervously asked. His energy primed for his cosmic energy blasts.

{He's almost as fast as me. But I can distract him long enough for you to take a shot Gilgamesh. Then Ikaris or Thena can finish him off}

Makkarri signed at them.

"A solid plan as any. Though I doubt I'll be of any help. He is resistant to my powers."

Druig offered from the side.

"What about the humans? The fight might get dangerous."

Sersi voiced the thing most of them were also worried about.

"I can try and make an isolation field around us. It won't be effective but it's better than nothing."

Phastos assured Sersi while informing Ajak of the solution.

Ajak nodded.

"Thank you Phastos. Do it."

She then turned her attention to the stranger who had been silently observing them while they had their discussion.

"We are the Eternals. Loyal servants of the Celestial Arishem. This world is under our protection. Stand down stranger and we shall be merciful."

She said, giving him an ultimatum she wished he wouldn't take.

He smiled as if aware of her inner thoughts. Then  stretched his limbs. The coat he had been wearing was quickly discarded to reveal a blue and black under suit with a V on the chest. Ajak wasn't aware but Valiant had taken to wearing his Superhero costume everywhere. He even had the domino mask in his coat pocket.

It was a way for him to always be ready for a fight. He would have to look for a way to store his suit when he didn't need it, however.

"So. You're done with discussing your battle plan huh? Good. You're gonna need it."

The stranger responded.

Gilgamesh shook his head. His fore arms lit up with cosmic energy.

"Arrogance. Truly the bane of the powerful."

His words had a tinge of anger.

"Hahaha. I didn't mean to insult you. It's not arrogance just confidence. To parrot the sexy blonde, less talk more fighting."

With that, the fight officially begun.

Some might call my actions confrontational, arrogant and dumb. I don't disagree.

However, everything has its flip side. The flip side to provoking the Eternals was that they wouldn't hold back. I didn't want them to hold back. Not even a little. Why?

Because I'm a battle-maniac obsessed with fighting. Pshh! Nah. Although that had an element of truth to it the reason was a bit more complicated.

The recent powerup hadn't taken my ki control to the gutter like the previous one. But the sudden increase in strength and speed was something I hadn't fully adjusted to. I needed to refine my skills to use them effectively with my new strength.

That meant no ki attacks or constructs. Just pure martial arts and Echo. I won't lie to you…I was getting pumped up for this. They finally stopped talking and rounded up to look at me. I'll reiterate, their formation was badass. Is that a power?

The air was thick with barely restrained aggression. We both wanted to hurt the other. Makkarri took the first step and disappeared out of sight. Probably Sprite's powers. Cue the fight.

True Reveal activated and everything became open to me. I ducked a kick from the speedster once Sprite's illusion became useless to my gaze. I extended my body further back and did a flip. My heightened senses were barely enough to keep up with her without ramping up my speed and perception. The flexibility from the spider bite helped a lot as well.

Due to confining myself to purely body strength and martial skills, I was going to have to make do with that. The ground under me turned to quick sand. I tightened my muscles and pushed off the soft ground as hard as I could, jumping away onto a hut on my left.

Danger sense blared out at me and I leaped on top of another hut as the previous one exploded due to Kingo. Ikaris swooped in and crashed into my cross guard. He grunted and fell back with a punch.

I caught his next strike on the palm of my hand and squeezed it. He groaned as I increased my strength, making Ikaris bend his knees. It was a good look on him.

My head bent to the side, avoiding Thena's spear construct. She followed up with a slash that I blocked with my hand ignoring danger sense. The blade of the spear cut into my skin and stopped at the muscles on my forearm. The spear was made with cosmic energy so that meant it wasn't something to scoff at. I guess I'm pretty durable now.

She tried to fall back but I rounded up on and grasped her by the neck by my right hand. Ikaris at that point got tired of trying to break out my hold and heat beams exploded out of his eyes. I quickly used Thena to block the strike and her scream of pain made Ikaris stop the attack instantly, to avoid killing her.

"Thena!"

Gilgamesh shouted amidst his sprinting towards me.

I spartan kicked Ikaris with half of my strength and he shot off like a missile. His trajectory was towards the ocean. A golden shield intercepted his unintentional flight and he bounced back. Most definitely, Phastos was the one responsible for that shield materializing. He did say something about an isolation field.

I turned my attention to Gilgamesh. He jumped and pulled his hand back.

"You want her that bad? Catch her."

I told him and threw Thena at him. There was no way to avoid the collision and I saw Gilgamesh's face change.

Contrary to my expectations, a metallic plate broke away from the shield and appeared underneath him, giving him the chance to jump over Thena's body and descend right on top of me.

He shouted, pulled back his hand and punched out. Time to test my strength. I similarly pulled back and punched out.

A huge shockwave exploded out from our position, sending the other Eternals sliding back. The golden shield rippled under the pressure. I heard something break and Gilgamesh face changed to one of pain as he grunted. My smile returned full force and I grabbed ahold of his limb and slammed him hard on the ground.

It was like an earthquake had happened. For a second everything shook as the ground cracked in a picturesque representation of a spider web. Gilgamesh coughed out and made to stand up. I was amazed at his resilience.

I stomped down abd buried his frame on to the ground. My danger sense informed me of a different impeding attack but I made no motion to evade it.

The energy blasts from Kingo hit my body and I instantly regretted not dodging. I wasn't hurt by any means but the upper section of my suit burned away. The fucker had taken a few minutes to charge the attack, hence the damage.

"Did we get him?"

Sprite's scared voice sounded out.

"Not yet."

Druig answered.

"Though I can't control him, I can still feel his mind. He hasn't weakened at all."

The smoke cleared away, revealing me, tatters of my suit donning my upper frame.

"You ruined my suit. It was a gift. That's not very nice."

I said annoyance leaking into my tone.

"Yeah well fuck you too buddy. You asked for this. Handsome piece of shit."

Kingo shot back. I rose an eyebrow.

"Not helping Kingo."

Sprite told him.

I calmly started walking towards them while vigilant against another attack. Ikaris and Thena were being healed by Ajak and Gilgamesh had yet to extract himself from the human shaped hole I'd dug him in. Sersi on the other hand had taken to pushing back the human settlements away from our fight with help from Phastos. The only one missing from the heavy hitters was Makkarri.

"Kingo was it? I am going to break you."

His hands lit up at the threat.

"Bring it on."

It would have been a cool line if he wasn't shaking in his boots.

The next step I took, I used it to push forwards like a bullet. My base speed without any reinforcement through Ki was probably at a whooping 200mph and my strength had more than doubled, so 300+? In any case, I sped forward while employing my flexibility and danger sense to dodge the energy blasts escaping his fingers and hands.

I ducked, weaved and leaped and soon I was winding a hand back for a devastating attack that would have seen me keep my promise.

Kingo's eyes widened and he pushed aside Sprite.

Danger Sense warned me of a sudden attack aimed at my face. An attack that I couldn't avoid without employing the full use of my power. Makkarri's fist made contact with my cheek and... nothing happened.

At the point of contact, I used Echo: Reverse and the force of the attack was absorbed. The power behind the strike wasn't something to joke at. She must have ran far away, picked up momentum hence adding to the power of the fist once it made contact with me. An impact that would have surely blown me away if it wasn't for Echo: Reverse.

I tightly grabbed at the energy and sent it to my finger. Then I flicked it at Gilgamesh who was coming around for another attack. His head was blown back by the sliver of power contained in the attack and I knew he was passed out way before he hit the ground, carving a a trail on the hard ground.

Makkarri fled away and Ikaris took the chance to hit me with his heat beams. Kingo followed his example and cosmic energy by the loads bore down on me.

I spread out my hands and then brought them together to grasp at the centre in a fast motion. I released the tightly held together power and a shockwave blasted out from me and blew everyone of them, eternals and their attacks combined away.

The isolation field fizzled out and a huge noise assaulted my ears as the coastline of where we were standing broke off and into the ocean, taking Sprite, Ikaris, Kingo and Sersi all out of the way.

A scream of anger exploded out of Makkarri, who had been the only one closest, who had escaped the attack. She rounded up on me, faster than before.

Punches flew out at a speed I could barely keep up with. My forearms intercepted those I could, and I tried avoiding the rest. It was overwhelming at the start. She didn't want to let up, quickly changing positions and hearding me to unfavorable terrain where I would lose my footing and leave myself open to an attack.

Each second that passed, I refined my technique. My skills finally adjusting to the new and improved body. I started throwing my own attacks. Round kicks, uppercuts and blocks whenever she decided to remind me she was faster. I was cheating with a judicious use of danger sense I had never applied before.

Once I got to the point where I was now comfortable with my body and could control it to my earlier extent, I decided it was finally time to end it.

Sparks of yellow electric energy covered my body and I whizzed past Makkarri. My hand snaked out to jab her on her on the chest. She lost her breath and I neck chopped her to the land of dreams.

Ikaris placed the last of the Eternals who had fallen off the coastline into the ocean on the ground and turned to look at me. He blinked and I was suddenly before him. To his favor, he didn't waste time and his eye beams activated. My hands were much faster though. I grabbed his face and turned his head. The heat beams hit the floating ship and carved a huge line underneath it. The ship tilted.

I then slammed him on the ground and fell on top of him. Ikaris fainted.

I floated out of the hole and looked at Ajak who was now staring at me warily. I flew forward towards her.

A device made of detachable metallic pieces rolled towards me but my heat beams, which were stronger than Ikaris' by the way, burned them to nothing. I looked at Phastos and warned him with my eyes about trying that again.

Kingo stepped forwards before Ajak, priming his attacks. I smiled at how he had offered himself. I told him I'd break him...

Blue bindings of Ki flew out of my body and snaked around his body. He struggled futilely to break out of the hold. I squeezed and both his arms bent the wrong way.

"Aaarghhh!! Damn you."

He shouted out in pain but my eyes were on the Prime Eternal. Ki bindings appeared on all the other Eternals to hold them in place while I talked with their leader.

"You introduced yourself so I guess it's fitting I do the same. My name is Valiant. I'm a simple Traveller. Now...tell me, how do you all want to die?"
