Ancient Power

Do you all remember the terrible advice that was given to help me learn Tailwind? no, too bad then, I don't plan on recalling it. My bad tutor was a talented Pidgey, more precisely that Pidgey who was destroying NidoranM.

Air Slashs, Air Cutters, and the occasional Gusts, I'm surprised that NidoranM hasn't fainted yet. I certainly wouldn't have lasted that long making me curious if this Pidgey is a reincarnator. Yes, to me unless you're a reincarnator or have some bullsh*t ability, you can't beat this without leveling me.

Other than this fight none was deemed important enough to pay attention to so I Rest through the rest.

*smack*

...This alarm clock is really annoying.

"Announcementsss,"

And the announcement was a pain, pretty much randomizing who we would battle now that those 2 enter the quarter-finals and went like this.

#1 Wooper (LVL 8) vs #2 Me (LVL 7)

#3Mareep (LVL 7) vs #4 Sandshrew (LVL 7)

#5 Pidgey (LVL 8) vs #6 Spearow (LVL 9)

#7 Mankey (LVL 9) vs #8 Wooper (LVL 8)

Heh, looks like the emo would lose not long after entering allowing me to reach the semi-finals after clearing Sandshrew. As for winning against Pidgey who should be able to enter the finals, impossible, it won't take too long for her to tear through Cotton Guard with Air Slash or Air Cutter and she can easily blow away my Cotton Spores with Gust.

*smack*

"Don't dozesss offsss, you're firstsss,"

"You're right, I should worry about my opponent first," I muttered. I'll be facing Wooper, no it's a different Wooper, 1 level higher than the previous one to specific.

"What moves has Wooper used?" Knowledge is power, no matter how frustrating the process and acquiring it is.

"Water Gunsss, Tail Whipsss, Rain Dancesss, Mud Shotsss. All exceptsss Mud Shot andsss Ancient Power isss advancesss."

Ancient Power. How different is it compared to the games?

[Answer: Ancient Power is a move that strength and effects differ immensely as the proficiency increases. Most knowledge of the move will not be answered, however, System will say that if used by the current Wooper, it won't be any different than in game]

Wow, half of that was useless, but that also makes me curious about how powerful Ancient Power is.

"Number 1 and 2, enter the stage,"

Time to take to the sky, I thought as I jumped up, Medusa's tail pushing me upward and forward towards the battlefield. She used a little too much force, causing me a lot of trouble to stop before I left the battlefield from that throw. Soon enough, I reached my position flying as I stared at the Wooper.

Does he know Unaware?

[Answer: Yes]

*sigh*

Of course, he does. Hidden abilities are so common these days.

"Fight,"

I used Absorb while Wooper danced and shot out a Water Gun in my direction. Water Gun hit me but I shook it off and continued using Absorb, meanwhile rain began to fall. Wooper quickly realized that I can and would outlast him if continued to use Water Gun.

Wooper stared at the ground, watching a boulder rise out from the ground levitating. The boulder had runes carved into it, the runes occasionally releasing a blue and light orange pulse.

#DANGER#

My eyes sharpened as I watched it, the energy displayed in it wouldn't be inferior to a Hyper Beam. If this attack hits me directly I might not die, but bones will be broken. System!

[Answer: If Wooper had launched Ancient Power instantly the damage and effect would remain the same. However, Host gave Wooper the time required to use a bit of the power hidden in the move]

I really got too little time to pay attention to you, Cotton Guard. Same time Cotton Guard had fully covered my body, I used Protect inside the Cotton Guard, prepared to receive the impact.

I could see the cotton being pressed in, followed by shattering of Protect before the rock finally stopped. Of course, at this time I was thrown who knows how far away from him, to confirm how far I used Senken. I guess I don't have to worry about leaving the battlefield thanks to Arbok slapping me back in.

Freeing myself through Cotton Spore, I blew as much as I can towards Wooper. Wooper was able to blast away most of the cotton directed at him through Water Gun, making only 2 reach him, one on his midsection and one on his head.

While he was doing this I had already taken off to the sky once more and with the aid of Tailwind reached above Wooper's head. Noticing me, Wooper uses Ancient Power quickly, possibly hoping to scare me away. However, it was clearly nowhere near as strong as the previous one, that doesn't mean I want to take a hit from it. No way.

Cotton Guard blocks the attack, burst out with Cotton Spore once my body dropped near Wooper, getting him covered in Cotton Spore, and then I chose to end the fight, Cotton Spore can't stick for long in the rain.

Being a Water Ground Type, Absorb was obviously the best choice, half a minute later Wooper fainted. I really should have chosen Bidoof, the fighting style of my current Hoppip isn't fun at all.

Voltorb was never an option...

!!!

3 Junior Elite Pokemons had crossed the 100meter line of Senken. Using Senken I confirmed who they were, a Persian, Raticate, and an Alakazam.

Semi-Finals Contestants.

Hoppip - Bad mobility, strong defensive capabilities, good at dive attacks, and Absorb. Carries an innate ability specialized in scouting.

Mareep - decent mobility, okay defensive capabilities, has a perfect fusion move despite only being a green talent. Has an innate ability that possibly specialized in fusing moves.

Pidgey - Great mobility, poor defensive capabilities, versatile move set. Most likely a reincarnator.

Mankey - decent mobility, weak defensive capabilities, overwhelming offensive capabilities, unique move Crush Claw. Possibly an abandoned child of a legendary.

Alakazam's thoughts.
