Chapter 13

The name 'Valoush' sounds very familiar and I don't know why. It just sounds like a name Mother has said before. Maybe it was a scientist. Who knows.

I follow my classmates into a large room, inside is an Arean-looking thing. Sand on the floor, a huge floor, and the seats are all surrounding the huge sand-filled floor. In the middle of the whole thing stands Mr. Valoush.

"Welcome back Students! I heard we have a new kid thing joining us so let us start the class with the 'Starter Up' if you know what I mean."

Mr. Valoush gave a very cold smile towards me. My classmates started patting my back and telling me good luck then running to their seats.

"So what's your name newbie?"

"Ce Forest."

"Well Ce, because you weren't here for the class start-up at the start of the year let me tell you. Simply I will fight you to see where you are in Shadow Training. If you lose, then you get to join your classmates as they have all lost to me. BUT if you win then you automatically pass this class without a lot of work and you get to miss out on Finals. Sound Fair?"

"Sure but if I may ask how do you 'win'?"

"Oh simple, I will make us wear a jacket that leaves a mark when it gets hit. If either one of us gets hit then the person to put it there will win. But because I am the last generation which was Slick Speed, meaning I move really fast in the dark so using your fog is just gives me an advantage because I do get bling but this power also gives an advanced sense of surrounding so it is easy to find you. I am telling you this because you guys being advanced in the Shadow training part of your schooling mean I can go hard on you. Oh, and I am at Level A+ so good luck."

So my goal is to hide my presents and just tap him with a jacket all while maintaining a level B+ shadow level. This should be easy.

Mr.Valoush leads me to a small room where he hands me a jacket.

"I won't be going easy on you Demon- I mean Ce."

"Sir why would you call me that?"

"You know all too well little Demon."

I knew what he meant. He wasn't one of the scientists but now I remember him being a guard. I think I killed his friend in front of him. I can't remember but yeah that's about it. He leads me out into the Arean, where he runs to one side of the pit.

"Come at me, whenever you are ready."

I hold back all the power I could and let out the rest. A tiny bit higher than B+ more like B++ because for the pedestal thing I could release a lot of power from the opposite hand but I have to use both here.

I cover the room with the fog and hide my presents. To do that it just lets= out a breath only and holds it as long as possible without making much sound. Do that it easy. Mr. Valoush on the other hand doesn't know how to do that at all, I can tell exactly where he is, where he stopped and where he is going to go.

I follow his movement until I step on the sand hard enough that we should be able to hear it.

"I thought you have more potential Ce. What a shame."

I can see him standing in front of me, suddenly he charges towards me, but I quickly move right as he is about to hit me and tap him on the shoulder while he is still in mid-movement. BINGGGGGGG.

I pull the fog away to reveal to my class that I am the one touching Mr. Valoush's shoulder.

"Sir, I believe I have won."

Mr. Valoush pushes my hand off him and then stands up properly.

"Well, you are the first Person to win against me so I guess I will have to follow my word. As I said, you will get A's in this class whether you show up or not, and you will only have to participate in very few things and tests. Welcome to my classroom Ce."

"SIR THAT'S NOT FAIR! YOU WENT EASY ON HIM!!!!"- Espen

"No, I didn't. No matter how I think about it I don't know how I lost but I didn't go easy on him."

"WELL if that is so, may I go Against him? I mean I have royal blood so I mostly likely beat him."

"Ce are you fine with that?"

It is really hard to fight without the intent to kill but I don't wanna have to fight him another day.

"I am fine with that sir."

"Haha, you are gonna regret this!"

Espen descends from the stairs, he chose the closest seat to the room with jackets, puts one on, and gets to where Ms. Valoush stood.

"Because you supposedly won against Mr. Valoush you aren't allowed to use your Fog at all. But since I lost against him, I am allowed to use it. Sound good?"

"Yes."

He starts creating the fog and pushes it as a way to hide. He doesn't know how to hide his presents so I just hide mine and walk towards him. I can tell he lost me and is trying to find me. I hide my presents until I am right behind him where I stop hiding, he turns around in shock and stops moving. I tap his shoulder while he is still scared. BEEEEEPPPPP

He pulls the fog away to reveal me touching his shoulder

"H-how d-did you do that?"

"You see what I mean Espen? I did go easy on him at all."

"Yeah, but how can someone have such a kill intent?"

Kill intent? I didn't let any out. Maybe he got a bit overwhelmed. I mean if shadows are afraid of me even with everything I have on I don't see why a human would be any different.

"Yes, that is true. Ce how did you get such a kill intent?"

I can him grinning, he wants me to reveal myself in front of these people. Wow, what a fool.

"Sir I don't understand what you mean. I have had to fight many people while abroad. Ilegal ships have come on ours and because I was the more powerful person on my father's ship I would help fend them off."

"Well either way all the things I have said, about the A's and stuff would anyone else like to go against Ce? You know what, how about we do a game, whoever beats Ce will get all the privileges he gets. And you can team up with him. BUT only in this class and if you share dorms with him. And this stands for all the classes in your grade. Sound fun Ce?"

"Sure it sounds fun, but how long will it last for, and what counts as winning?"

"Humm, how about till the last month. If anyone does it before then, only one team/person can get it so it seems good. And to win you have to be in the nurse's office unable to do stuff for 2 days. Sound ok?"

"Sure, but one thing, I am allowed to do whatever I want in order for self-defense deal?"

"Deal! I will inform Principal Qvillion. You may do whatever you like. Oh, and Ce I am supposed to tell you, once you go home today, make sure to bring your things tomorrow because we are going back to using dorm rooms. Ok?"

"Yes sir."

"Great there are only 5 minutes till you get to go home. Today is a short day so you don't have a lunch break. Well, enjoy your day everyone!"

Mr. Valoush walks off, all my classmates start packing their things.

RINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

The bell rings, I walk out of the school, Flower is waiting at the entrance.

"Well, how did it go?"

"I am the targetted by my grade in order to get freebie

A+'s."

"WHAT!"

"I won a pretend battle with the teacher and a royal so now if they want to A's without having to do anything in Shadow Training they have to Knock me out to last 2 days."

"What would I expect, what level did you put yourself to?

"Level B+. And also I have to pack my things once we get back because I have to stay in a dorm.

"B+? Ok not bad and I will take you to at home about the dorms."

We get back to a cabin where Flower grabs a bottle filled with water and a strange-looking box. She opens the box and takes out a small pill.

"Because of the dorm thing, you won't be able to eat Blood puddling. So I got a pill that once it touches water it liquefies in the water turning it into a blood substitute. See."

She puts the pill in the water, it dissolves but the color of the water doesn't change. She hands me the bottle.

"Drink it."

I take a big gulp, it does taste like blood and I can feel the Darkness on me going away.

"Darky, it worked?"

"Yes sweet child, it did, but it does feel...unnatural."

"35! I HAVE BEEN CALLING YOUR NAME FOR 5 MINUTES! What did you think of the water?"

"It works just fine! Thanks but I just remembered something. The royal in my class asked for me to get royal permission to wear the blindfold."

"I know, that's what I got today."

Flower shows me a piece of paper with the royal signature on it. Meaning that I do have permission.

"Now, go pack this box. You only need one a day in order to keep control. Also, you will be sharing a dorm room with another classmate. These dorms have a small wall dividing you are your roomies' side. But start packing. You will need some fancy-ish clothing and pack all your extra uniform. And DON'T forgets this box."

I grab the suitcase and box she was handing me and start packing.

Sharing a room with a human. First, they all want me knocked out and now I have to share a room with one. Mother did that once. The human died of fear and that was supposedly my fault and my very first kill.
