My Future, Our Past

~~~~Taranis POV~~~~

I seemed to have apprehended a person who was lurking in the shadows, I questioned who it was. An Assassin? Serial Killer? I wouldn't have any idea. The moment I removed the hood and mask of this person, all those possibilities seemed to have washed away, I was looking face to face with a beautiful girl; her hair was as dark as the beautiful night sky shining above and her eyes were as dark as the void, you can easily get lost in them.

What feels like an eternity, I awoke from my trance and questioned who she was,

"From what I can tell , you aren't an assassin as you have no weapons on you. So what's with the get-up?"

She also seemed to have been awaken from something and replied back, "I apologise, I thought you were someone trying to hunt me down"

I gave a concerning confused look, wondering as to why there are people hunting her down. A part of me also feels like I should know this person, I get off of her and gave her a lift up. She took my hand and lifted back up.

With this, i gave a bow and said, "I apologise for tackling you, my name is Taranis. Nice to meet you"

She also gave a curt bow and replied, "I also apologise for surprising you, my name is Zenaida"

Once we have established who we are, I proceeded to ask her, "If you don't mind me asking, why were you running and hiding?"

She gave a smile and replied, "I don't really mind, I kind of wanted to explore the place around me. But I didn't exactly tell my parents, so they sent the guards to find me"

I retorted, "Guards? Your family seem quite important if you have guards looking for you?"

She gave a shy laugh and nodded, "Yeah, my family are here to meet up with the royal family of Imperia. I am the crown princess of Ristonia"

I gave a surprised look back and slightly chuckled, "That was very unexpected. Do you want me to show you around? I live in this city and show you the best parts of it"

I gave out my hand and smiled, she smiled back and took my hand. I took her to the most beautiful places in Imperia, the monoliths of Paracelia, The fields of Camellia and the fireworks display happening today. Today marks the day of when Imperia was founded, 100,000 years ago. While going around the city, we kept avoiding the guards and just enjoying the time here together. After hours of exploring together, the Hidorian Guards arrived and located us quickly. The leader, Lazaron came in and said,

"Crown Prince, we were looking for you. It seems you found Ristonia's Crown Princess. You have been ordered by both families to return to the castle so we can begin the unification ceremony"

I nodded and looked back, there Zanaida looked at me with surprise on her face. Me and the guards laughed as it was just biggest shock on her face, she playfully punched me and said< "Why didn't you tell me?!"

I shrugged and replied, "I didn't think it was important, we still had fun together. Right?"

She smiled and nodded, we then proceeded to walk back to the castle with the guards behind us. Once we got back, Both families were waiting for us, the King of Ristonia had a look of disdain and my father had a smile but shook his head to act disappointed. I kneeled and apologised to the King and told him I wanted to show her around the country and see the attractions we have to offer here. He shrugged it off after a bit and apologised on Zenaida's behalf for disturbing me. My father then looked at me and put his hand on my shoulder and asked,

"Are you okay?"

I smiled and replied, "Yes we are, just out for a bit"

He responded, "That's good to hear. Anyway, both of you get clean up, the ceremony is about to start."

We bowed and headed to our chambers to prepare. While I was heading to my room, Triton was leaning on a pillar smiling. He went over and asked,

"Here I thought, you were having a nice and peaceful night alone"

I gave a chuckle and replied, "So did I, but I guess fate had other plans"

He retorted, "Indeed it has my brother"

I was at my room, putting on the clothes that were prepared on my bed. I was finished changing and went to the mirror to fix my hair, until my sister; Iyana came into my room. She sat on my chair and asked,

"So I heard you were out on a date night with the Crown Princess"

I rolled my eyes and replied, "You know damn well that is not what it was implied"

She laughed and replied back, "Yeah, yeah. Anyway, hurry up, we're going to be late."

I fixed my hair and went with Iyana to the main dining hall, it was filled of many people from different countries. I know Umbran and Solaris are currently at the city and preparing the food to celebrate with the townsfolk. I'm currently in the main hall with Iyana and Triton. The youngest sibling, Aurora arrived with Zenaida and another lady. When they came to us, Zenaida was wearing a pale orange dress. It was beautiful, the orange was designed to look like fire, her hair was just as beautiful, orange like the sun. The other lady wore a purple dress, it reminds me of the starry night sky.

Zenaida said, "Apologies, this is my sister, Laurel. We are practically twins as we were born the same day."

Me and Triton bowed but I replied, "Nice too meet you Laurel, hope you will enjoy this eventful evening"

She smiled and gave a bow as well, "Thank you Taranis, I will surely enjoy this evening that your family has provided"

After that conversation with them, Solaris and Umbran returned from the town's centre to reunite with us so that we can begin the ceremony. Everyone else headed to the top to each other's family. I stayed with Zenaida as we represent the joint union between the two, I took out my hand and smiled at her. She smiled back and took my hand, there we walked together towards the podium to where our fathers are waiting for us. Once we got there, we split off from each other to our individual families and our fathers both placed their hands on a beautiful sapphire blue sphere on a beautifully designed ceramic pedestal. The sphere then glowed like the ocean reflecting the moonlight, it then announced,

"Unification complete. Welcome Ristonia, Kingdom of Hope and Admiration".

There was then a sudden outburst of cheering and clapping from all over the place, the townsfolk and the royalties from other countries were celebrating this joyous occasion. I smiled and decided to walk towards the outdoors and just lean on the balcony, looking at the people below. Umbran then came up and leaned in the balcony next to me, he turned to look at me and asked,

"Everything alright? You seem tired"

I replied back, "Yeah, I'm fine. Just one energetic day if I say so myself"

He gave a slight chuckle and retorted, "I heard. You met the Crown Princess awfully quick"

I rolled my eyes and and just looked at the beautiful cityscape. It feels like every light shimmering in the city is like an ignition of a firework. All various different colors and people enjoying the moment. I then turned to look at Umbran and asked,

"So, how was the townsfolk with the celebration?"

He replied with, "Happy as always, they love having these celebrations"

When Umbran and I were chatting away. Solaris came in and handed us drinks, he then proceeded to ask us if he was okay. To which we replied yes, before he could say anoth word, a person called out for him. To which he asked us to wait and went to him to see what the person needed.

When he left, I noticed that the ballroom dance was starting to happen; everyone was gathering at the centre in pairs to begin the dance. I noticed that Zenaida was looking at them with a hint of gleam in her eyes, I smiled thinking she looked cute looking intrigued at them. I told Umbran to tell Solaris that I'll be back to hear what he will say after I do something.

I walked next to Zenaida and asked,

"So how are you in this fine evening?"

She got a bit surprised and smiled, she then replied,

"Today has been a very eventful day, it's nice to see my family more laid back"

I apologized for surprising her after she said that, she shook her head and said that it wasn't a big deal. I thought to myself how to make it up to her and immediately thought of one thing; I lifted up my hand and bowed in front of her and asked,

"Will you do me the honors of having a dance with me?"

She gave a very surprised look and smiled while taking, with the words,

"You may of course"

With this, we walked towards the middle and proceeded to dance. Throughout my time being a royalty, every member of the royale family must learn how to dance for any occasion. Luckily I enjoy dancing, with every step we take thought out this, it felt like no one was here and it was just us in our own little world. Everyone then started to look at us, to which I didn't mind and then noticed my siblings wondering why everyone is surrounding something; they then saw me dancing with her. They all smiled and Iyana was snickering with Triton.

With reaching the encore of the song, we enjoyed this blissful evening but as soon as we reached the end, the world started to spin. Like that, the world blacked out.

A system called out,

"Error, memory corrupted. Returning User back to Reality"

~~~~Edward's POV~~~~

I recovered from that excruciating pain that was happening to my eye, and I looked around to which my classmates were having a concerned look at their faces. They all asked if I was okay, to which I replied that I'm okay now, they all sighed in relief from my reply. While looking around though, the girl at the front also had a look of concern on her face, my eyes then decided to tear up without realizing it. I quickly wiped my tears and asked myself why I'm crying after seeing her.

When the teacher checked up on me if everything is now okay, she then said,

"If anything happens, please do no hesitate to take yourself to the infirmary"

I nodded and replied back, "Will do ma'am, deeply apologize for disturbing your class"

She smiled and shook her hand to notify that the student's health is more important. She then went back to the front and proceeded to introduce the new student.

"Okay students, she didn't manage to attend the ceremony yesterday so she's a bit behind by a day so, please introduce yourself"

The student then stepped forward and said,

"Hello everyone, nice to meet you. My name is Rentrix, I hope to get to know all of you well"

Everyone clapped, the teacher then pointed to her seat to which she walked towards it. She passed me and looked at me, to which I had a confused look on my face, she smiled and turned back to go to her seat.

Strange, this school life is becoming much more interesting that I anticipated.
