Chapter Thirty: A Spark Of Romance

"There is a more important issue at hand... Lucien knows about your marriage, and I believe he orchestrates a sinister plan, their target might be you or your future wife Freya.." Simon reported and the strict expression on George's face dropped immediately, replaced with fear then anger.

"That bastard, if he dares to hurt her. No, I have to go to her," He said and attempts to leave the room but Simon blocks his way.

He looked at George confused, but he could sense and see the fear in his eyes. What Simon didn't understand was why George would be scared for Freya. What does that even mean? he supposed it doesn't matter right now.

"Get out of my way" George scowled displeased.

"I can't, your highness. If you go to her now, you will only endanger her life. For Lucien to know about the wedding, means he has a spy amongst us. And going there will let Lucien know we are onto him"

"I don't care, I will take Freya out of there tonight and have her stay with me in the palace"
